We missed it and stood in the convenience store line until we figured out out. Note: You then pay in that line anyway. Beyond that experience, everything worked well. They have a fast assembly line, cranking out hot chicken cutlets for whoever so orders, so you won't be waiting long. (btw I don't believe Boars Head is great quality food. But it's everywhere. Hence the hot order.) Good quantities for the price, keep in mind they will add tax before ringing you up at the counter. Recently there seems to be many issues with food not prepared correctly, not listening to customers and rushing customers to the point it's a bit uncomfortable. The daily hot specials are extremely overpriced. The menu has changed to reflect the new higher priced foods (not the specials) I've yet to encounter any professional staff here and most likely never will. They will decide what to put in your order even if the menu reads differently. So make sure you check your order (open it up don't trust them). Be advised The younger staff love to be argumentative . They have zero competition so you have no choice. Also don't trust the advertised hours.Grill closes at 12 am which sometimes means they shut it at 11/11:30 even if it's busy. **Philly cheese steak comes with peppers and onions Make sure you request it as they will not add it if you don't ask( but sometimes they will?) I was craving a chopped cheese, I had a few from here in the past, so I know it good. Ordered it with everything on it. Waited about 20 minutes, and when I got home, it was not what I ordered. Yes, it was a chopped cheese with nothing on it. No lettuce, no tomatoes, no pepper, no nothing. Not even seasoned at all. It's probably the worst chopped cheese I ever had. The food is really good quality, they always use fresh and premium ingredients. Definitely one of the best deli sandwiches around. The counter people are nice and helpful. The service is very inconsistent, sometimes it's quick sometimes it's not. On one occasion I called in 12 minutes early thinking I could pickup my order and leave. I ended up waiting in the store nearly 20 minutes (Not including the call in time). I literally saw a girl walk in, place her order, and she got her food before me. There are some organizational issues, when it is busy they run around like decapitated chickens asking who placed which order. This place can get very busy. When it's busy, you cannot keep 6 feet social distance from anyone because of having to stand around in the so called line for so long. People are waiting to pay and waiting for their sandwich orders. It's chaos. Rather than continue to stand around I took $2 up to the counter and left it for the coffee and got out of there. I read a review here stating that someone preparing food was not wearing the mask properly and didn't seem to care. I don't think I'll be back. Went in to pick up coldcuts and the girl behind the counter in the deli was wearing a mask with her nose exposed, so I asked her to cover her nose and she just slid it up to the bottom of her nose, it still wasn't covered, I told her I wasn't going to order anything from her with a mask being worn that way and she said OK but still didn't raise her mask and went on preparing food. read more

Missed dinner so stopped by this place to grab a sandwich to eat on the ride back to Jersey. I could barely believe it when I saw the sandwich maker put 4 slices of tomato and 4 slices of swiss cheese on my hero. Even though I know milk/bread/whatever else I forgot to buy is cheaper a few minutes down the road at the A&P, it's hard to pass up this place since it's .4 miles from my house. Aside from its convenience, the Montrose Deli is straight-up delicious. The sandwiches are always rockin' and the bacon egg and cheeses are both cheap and awesomely satisfying. The sandwiches are good, but the register is very unorganized . You kind of stand around for an inordinate amount of time waiting for your order. They've messed up my order quite a few times too.
