Everything that's for sale always looks fresh, clean and appetizing. Besides the fresh and frozen seafood they offer all kinds of jarred goods, spices and handy kitchen tools. I've only ever shopped on their app, but after my recent experience I'll try to just walk in and see what's available. This is quite risky if you already have dinner plans, plus using their app is very easy and convenient. Unfortunately, after my last experience, I prefer to put my finger on what I want to make sure I get exactly the cut of fish I'm looking for. It didn't seem like a big deal, because the fish was still fresh and delicious, but it slightly changed my approach to its preparation. Jess and Zach are the bomb diggity; I can't sing their praises enough! I have referred so many people to them and no one is ever disappointed. I look forward to coming here (almost) every week. The team is so friendly, payment options are easy, and, of course, the fish and seafood are all super fresh! Everyone is knowledgeable and even when it's crazy, Jess well spend a couple minutes talking to a customer to give recommendations or answer questions. They always have great energy and good specials (like giveaways and for holidays). You can even text her to have her put something aside for you so they don't run out before you get there (which happens often!). She knows me and knows my go-to (Atlantic salmon fillets), but she also knows I trust her and love a good deal (which she always has). The last time I went, I was eyeing her new prepared section (a game changer!) and she helped me in taking home three extra pieces than what I had planned to buy, with no regrets! The two pieces of parmesan encrusted salmon was a surprising preparation for me, but for $5 it was a no-brainer, and we quite enjoyed it (see picture)! The winner though was the California Grouper sandwich which was a daily special. It was fantastic. I could have eaten two. Came on a soft roll, with slaw and bacon and avocado and I forget what else because I devoured it so quickly. I'd go back just for that sandwich. Was looking for a lobster for Thanksgiving dinner…read more Once in the store, we were surrounded by all the different tanks full or live lobsters - I had no idea what I was supposed to do first. What size should I buy for two? What is the best one for simple steaming? Where is what I am looking for? What is the difference among these different tanks? A gentleman who was working here caught me and answered all these questions, and located a perfect size, super lively lobster suitable for steaming! He was knowledgeable about different cooking options, and as soon as he knows we are Japanese, he showed me different sashimi grade seafood and handling tips. We bought - A live lobster (1.5lb) about $30 - 6 sashimi grade shrimps $ less than 10 He was so kind to make sure all the shrimps are the same size. Sashimi was beautiful, fresh and naturally sweet, melt on the tongue. I deep-fried the shrimp head and tail as the gentleman suggested - crispy, thin! And lobster was full of meat, juicy and perfect size for two of us. Full! Yum!! Cant wait to go back again!!!!
