VERY DISAPPOINTED! I purchased a boxwood plant from this nursery, and I couldn't be more disappointed. When I bought it, it looked great but as soon and I took it home, it started drying up and eventually died. When I reached out to them for a refund for the defective product, I was met with unhelpful responses and a lack of empathy. They refused to acknowledge the poor quality of the plant and offered me a gift card for 50% of the item. It feels like they don't stand behind their products at all. Save your money and look elsewhere for healthier plants and better customer service. This experience has left me frustrated and regretting my purchase. read more

Everything is top notch quality and the grounds are fun to walk around browsing. My last visit I was stumped what to do with a new bed (pictured) and they sat down with me and drew a little diagram and we picked out the perfect selection. I purchased a tree from Montgomery nursery because I wanted to give my business to a local business and not one of the big chains,I paid 250.00 for this tree that sells at Home Depot for 89.00,which was fine with me, I followed the directions they gave me 100% but it died.I reached out to them and was told to send a picture of the tree and they will get back to me.I have not heard from them and I left messages three times,still no answer. I wouldn't recommend going to this business,They do NOT stand behind their merchandise.I did go and buy one at the big chains for 89.00 and it's bigger,many more branches and it's doing great. read more

This is probably the coolest Nursery I have ever visited. Located on Sproul Road you may have passed it a bunch of times since the sign is parallel to the road. This place is huge and has anything you need for your yard. I visited in July and they were open 7 days a week. I'm sure it changes once busy season is over. From what I saw: - mulch - Stone - Small and big plants - annuals and perennials - bags of potting soil - pots all sizes - Trees - green houses full of plants - Shrubs We spoke to Trish and she was very helpful and friendly. We showed her a picture of where we needed help and she led us to a bunch of different plants. Each plant is perfect for the area we needed .. shorter for higher elevated areas and taller plants for lower elevated areas. The colors were great. They have carts to help you pick what you need and not carry it around. We were able to pull our car up and load directly into our truck. Prices were very reasonable. We are very happy with our purchase. We found our new "Nursery" and they can now call us regular customers. read more

I am not, in general, the gardening type, particularly not the 'landscaping' gardening type. I enjoy beautiful landscaping, however I don't generally have the knack or the drive to create it myself. After we built a small addition for the Patriarch to move in with us, we discovered that the changes have created a drainage problem in our back yard. We have no idea why, though I'm sure a hydrologist could tell you, we just know that having standing water next to your foundation for days after a rain storm is not a good idea. So, we have undertaken the task of having our yard re-graded with drains installed and water directed to a rain garden in a corner of the yard. The excavators that installed the drainage don't do plants beyond grass, so off to the internet I go for a plant list, and then off to a local, very nice, nursery who only kept the plants I needed in stock during their 'season' when many people by them. Crap. Fortunately, they were kind enough to direct me to nearby Montgomery Nurseries, and after a quick phone call where I confirmed that yes, they did have some of these plants, I drove over. I am so glad I did. Montgomery Nurseries is a place I've driven by 1000 times, looked at all the pretty plants, but never stopped in. They have a large variety of plants from bedding plants to trees and shrubs, and clearly cater to both the individual and business/landscaping market. Their staff were SUPER helpful, both finding the plants on my list and suggesting alternatives when ones weren't available. They helped me pick them, answered questions and loaded them all into the back of my truck for me. They also let me know when some other plants on my list, as well as others I think I'd like in other parts of my yard. They were friendly, professional, knowledgable and approachable. In short, they're pretty cool people. Prices were reasonable, the service was great, the plants are all doing well in their new home. I'll definitely be back. read more

Buyer Beware!!! purchased several thousand dollars worth of plantings. Two of the most expensive trees looked bad from the beginning. Was told to keep watering and give them time, which i did. I did not know they meant give them enough time until the short term warranty was up!!! and you SOL. I find it interesting that i have posted several negative reviews and only in the last day have received a response from Mont. Nurseries apologizing that they did not realize that I was having these issues. I guess they don't remember the multiple phone calls, emails and pics (I have saved)regarding this issue. Then they have Onions to give a half hearted apology and wishing me a blessed day. Maybe you should take a knee in the confessional before you offer any blessings. read more

The best in the area. There's not one good nursery, other than Montgomery, on the main line. Why that is has always puzzled us. It's a huge gap in the market.. this nursery has a lot of great varieties. There is not incentive for competitive pricing, therefore it's a bit $$$ but they have great staff and it's the best local source for natives, perennials, bulk mulch and dirt, landscaping needs. read more

I first visited here when I was taking horticulture classes, now it's my go to spot if it's open. I really love this nursery. It carries a lot of native plants and plants that really thrive in this region. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They also carry more mature trees, and often ones that are harder to find at other nurseries. A great spot for some of horticulture's favorite plants. read more

Tons of trees, shrubs, roses, regular perennials and annuals. Mulch , soil etc. big carts to load up as you walk around. Well maintained property. Can spend hours here. Nice local nursery for our landscaping needs. We have been there countless times to pick up mulch, dirt and perennials. (And christmas trees) They always have a good selection of roses and flowering bushes. Good prices and solid knowledge of their products. Dirt/mulch delivery is nice too! read more
