Dr. Arnaud takes a different approach. He does a full exam (in which Dr. Arnaud explains in depth how important our skeletal and nervous system are and affect everything), x-rayed, diagnosed, and put on a actual plan to correct and possibly reverse some if not all of the damage. I met Dr. Austin Reynolds at a trigger point therapy training. I was seeing a doctor in Round Rock…read moreat the time but wasn't getting real relief. I then saw an orthopedic doctor, followed by 5 months of physical therapy and dry needling. I called Dr Reynolds on a Thursday and he was able to see me the next morning. I remember reading that he could see results in 2-3 visits and I was skeptical, but it was 3 visits. In the first visit I could tell a difference in range of motion and after 3 visits I had relief. Because my profession requires me to use the same patterns of movement I will probably need reoccurring work on my rotator cuff but I have been able to sleep through the night without my hands falling asleep. I have been able to increase my weight during my workouts and I have had little to no discomfort in my shoulder that I was experiencing pain in for almost 7 months. I scheduled a new client adjustment followed by a massage. I was taken in for the adjustment and about 5 minutes in a "case worker" came in to watch with no explanation. You're not in the most comfortable positions doing this and not sure why you would have someone watch. My massage was scheduled next but the case worker took me into another office where they tried to push me to but a package to come back. When I said I'll see how the visit goes and think about it they said I would never be offered that pricing again. Mind you I only came in for some minor pains not an injury. It was a very awkward conversation and I declined multiple times. I was then taken to the massage in the "spare room" the table was so shaky I got dizzy multiple times and thought it would break, no warmer and a dirty blanket. There was no music in the room and the walls were paper thin. I could hear 10 different conversations and loud banging through the whole massage. If you're going to offer massage you should provide the same experience as going to a massage spa. If not just offer chiropractic services. I think they are really just out for your money.

I've seen images of my spine enough times that I pretty much know what they're going to tell me already. For the most part it was the same for this visit. However, I did have a new injury that does need adjusting. (Don't go on water slide rides when you're 63!) Dr Johnson was pleasant and friendly. I didn't feel like I was getting the "big sell" that I've experienced many times in the past with chiropractors. I'm not saying that regular visits wouldn't be helpful. But I'm the person who is mostly interested in just getting out of pain. We have limited resources at this time, so that was also a factor. But his prices are so incredibly reasonable. Which is awesome because My situation definitely involves a number of visits. The office was clean the bathroom was clean and nicely decorated. He did my adjustment and then put me on what I can only say is similar to a TENS unit. That was a new experience. Then slathered me down with some kind of icy hot stuff.
