He has been in constant daily pain that entire time, the only thing that would relieve his pain was weekly nerve blocks and even those would only reduce his pain for 1-2 days. He wasn't able to attend school in person or get a job. He has missed countless family/friend events and has missed out on so much of his childhood and teenage years. He has greatly suffered physically and mentally/emotionally for years. We found Dr. Lowenstein during a google search and he has completely changed my sons life and future. My son had nerve decompression surgery from Dr. Lowenstein for supratrochlear neuralgia. He woke up from surgery completely pain free and remains pain free for the first time in 7 years! Christina was very helpful and organized and made me feel like we were in good hands. Jodi and Shelley were my sons nurses, they were so caring and compassionate and really made us feel at ease and well taken care of. Jodi called us several weeks before the surgery and went over everything in detail and answered all of our questions. Jodi was my sons nurse the day of surgery and she really helped calm our nerves. She kept in contact with me before and after the surgery which I really appreciated. When I was overcome with joy and tears after seeing my son pain free Jodi was there to share in my excitement. My sons anesthesiologist, Cory, was very reassuring and professional, we instantly felt comfortable and safe with him. We had Shelley during our consultation and post op appointments. Shelley genuinely shared in our joy and was so supportive. My son and I both felt like he was in great hands with everyone at Dr. Lowenstein's office and that we had made the right decision to move forward with his decompression surgery. A woman there was helping us, and my mom, who was 86 at the time, told her she had beautiful skin and lips and asked if she saw someone. She smiled, handed my mom Dr. Yegiyants' business card, and that was that. Fast forward about six months. My injector, Melissa (who had been doing my Botox and filler for years), decided to join Dr. Yegiyants' office. I couldn't believe it! I made an appointment for my Botox and was able to spend a few minutes with Dr. Yegiyants. I went in thinking I needed skin removed from my upper eyelids. She walked in wearing the chicest blue leather dress, gently placed her finger just above my eyebrow, lifted it slightly, and said something like, "All you need is this." Then she added, "Not a surprised look..." I was sold. I didn't need to hear anything else except, "When can we schedule it?" About a month later, I had my brow lift. I honestly didn't do much research because I believe that when things align like this, they're meant to be. On the day of surgery, I was dropped off feeling completely at ease. I was nervous, but she was extremely thorough and reassuring, taking the time to explain my moles and spots. After the screening, she sat with me for about ten minutes going over even my smallest skin concerns (why do my lips break out after I kiss my cat? etc.) and recommending products to build a healthy skincare regimen. Dr. G doesn't rush through appointments and seems eager to make a personal connection with you. She's not happy until you're satisfied with your skin. I have seen multiple dermatologists and was specifically referred to a physician at this office for her reputation as a leading specialist in this field. My first two appointments, I was very impressed. The medical assistants communicated effectively with the physician and appeared to understand the seriousness and complexity of my medical history. Unfortunately, my experience has steadily declined since then. At my previous appointment, the physician introduced herself by saying, "It's nice to meet you," even though I had seen her multiple times before. I do not expect a physician to personally remember every patient, but I do expect the provider or medical assistant to review the relevant history and previous visit notes before entering the room, especially for a patient with an extensive history. My experience on July 16th (today) was the final straw. My appointment was scheduled for 11:40 a.m. I drove an hour to the office and arrived approximately 15 minutes early. I checked in at the front desk, provided the credit card information required under their new policy, and was told that I was checked in. I asked whether I had time to move my car because I had parked very close to another vehicle in their small parking lot. The front desk employee told me, "Yes, the doctor is running behind, so you have time." I returned to the waiting room by 11:35 a.m., five minutes before my scheduled appointment. After waiting approximately 45 minutes, I was finally taken to an examination room. The medical assistant showed little interest in why I was there and appeared unfamiliar with my medical history. She instructed me to undress and remove my facial makeup because the appointment was for a full-body skin examination and follow-up of an area of precancerous cells on my face. After she left, I could hear her talking with another medical assistant. Eventually, everything became quiet. I remained undressed in the examination room until approximately 12:40 p.m., a full hour after my scheduled appointment time and 1 hour and 15 minutes after my arrival time. I finally stepped into the hallway and told a male medical assistant that I believed I had been forgotten. He told me that everyone was on their lunch break and that he was not sure what had happened. I asked, "They left me waiting undressed in a room while everyone went to lunch?" He confirmed that the staff was at lunch. I returned to the room and got dressed. As I was leaving, he claimed that I had arrived late. I explained that I had arrived 15 minutes early and had been checked in by the front desk. He then said the front desk had not notified the clinical staff that I was there. He also told me that because I was supposedly there for a cosmetic appointment, he could reschedule me for a longer appointment with a different provider. I explained that this was not a cosmetic appointment. I have had melanoma 10 times and was there for a full-body skin examination and follow-up with a melanoma specialist. Before leaving, I explained the situation to the front desk employee, who said she would notify the manager. I then drove an hour back to work after losing several hours for an appointment that never occurred. Approximately five minutes after I left, the medical assistant who had initially taken me to the room called me. She stated that the front desk had marked me as a no-show and acknowledged that she had placed me in an examination room after the doctor had already gone to lunch. She also admitted that she should have told me. To summarize, I arrived early, was confirmed as checked in, waited approximately 45 minutes in the lobby, and was then left undressed in an examination room for another 30 minutes while the physician and staff went to lunch. No one informed me of the mistake, explained the delay, or checked on me. I have no idea how long I would have remained there had I not stepped into the hallway myself. The lack of communication, awareness of my medical history, and basic professional courtesy was unacceptable. Because I work in healthcare and have an extensive history of skin cancer, people frequently ask me for dermatologist recommendations. Based on this experience and the decline in care I have observed over time, I will no longer recommend this office. This was an extraordinarily unprofessional and concerning experience.

She assured me that would be done prior to the procedure. She left the room and failed to tell me she would be gone for two weeks... In the meantime, I called repeatedly for instructions for the procedure only to get the receptionist.. When I checked out earlier, I was charged $602.80. I was never asked for permission to buy these products but went ahead and made the purchase. I was then charged $2750 for the actual procedure. After the procedure I realized that they just did a facial and no intention of dealing with my lip issue.. On my follow-up I told Courtney that I was most unhappy with results, I never wanted the complete facial.. I reminded her about her reassurance to remove the filler only to blatantly lie as to her promise. I have had a lot of plastic surgery with great plastic surgeons in Oregon and his dad here in Santa Barbara.. Dr Marc Soares and Courtney are bullies and intimidation is how they operate. I think more people contemplating plastic surgery should avoid these two.
