In fact, we are on a first-name basis with all of them, and they are always quick to answer our questions or work with us when we have scheduling issues. The facility is state-of-the-art, clean, bright, and spacious. The Watch Me Grow app allows us to watch our daughter through a camera in her classroom, which gives us additional peace of mind. The staff are all friendly, patient, and generous. The itineraries, care, and meals are all geared toward healthy development of the children in their care. And there is an active effort to teach the children and encourage physical activity and creativity, not just watch over them while their parents are at work. Our daughter frequently surprises us with new behaviors or tasks that we realize she learned at school. The toddler instructor Miss Geneva is absolutely wonderful. The tenderness she has shown our daughter has been incredible, especially during the first two weeks when she was having serious separation anxiety. Our daughter has adjusted very well to child care at Kiddie Academy, and now looks forward to going to "school."

At the previous school my child was hit by a teacher and we created an investigation. So I wanted my child to be in an educational system in which I could have access to video monitoring services and one that held teachers accountable. So I as any parents of a little one I was skeptical of every place that I went to observe and I ended liking kiddie academy because of their philosophy, rules, and how they hold teachers accountable. My child has a few couples of days getting used to his new school and he did bite a child one day and got suspended. However in no time he learned to get a long with the rest of the children and be friends with children. I saw my child grow as the little butterfly he is and be confident in his social skills and educational journey. He was able to graduate from pre-K with his peers and do the summer program as well. He loved it so much that me that he is in kinder he tells me he misses Kiddie academy friends and teachers. The team is amazing and wonderful and I will forever be grateful they took care of my little one as one of theirs.

The teachers are all so attentive to each child. They have so many areas with activities and huge outside play areas. Every meal and snack is healthy for the kids. They have appropriate nap times and bed times. The staff is always available to talk with you any time you want to discuss anything. My four year old has learned so much since she has been there and has so much fun every day. And my baby loves to go here. She reaches for them when I drop her off and never cries. My four year old had some health issues and dietary restrictions when she was younger, and the staff at Southwest Child Care were a life saver working with us through everything. Of course disgruntled employees will have nothing nice to say, but as a mother who has trusted these people with my children for years, I can say I would not send my kids anywhere else!

And if there is any type of issue, they work closely with the parents to help try and rectify whatever is going on, so that all may be able to flourish and continue to learn and be happy.

Our son's first year teachers were amazing. But then thing started going down hill. It all happened starting a year ago (January 9, 2025 to be exact) our son's teacher was dealing with personal life problems so she was not able to be there for a week, and that meant other teachers were coming in the class to take over while she was gone. One in which was there most often. My son was scared to go to school because he told me how this teacher was being mean to the kids (grabbing them by the collar of there shirt aggressively and rag dolling them around) I asked him to point her out to me who she was and he did even referring to her as "mean teacher". I went to the director (Monica) and assistant director (Amber at the time) addressing my concerns. And even after talking to other parents and the main teacher in the class multiple kids were scared as well. Even after coming to them that teacher was still there! However, they told me they would move him up if this continued. His main teacher came back and nothing happened, so we didn't have to worry about it anymore. We always felt accommodated when going up to the director as she had moved us up early when we came to her with a concern. Keep in mind all she ever did was move us up. Im not sure if any of these concerns were actually even taken care of addressed to the teacher. A year passed and he was put into Preschool 1 that "mean teacher" was back and this other teacher was in the class with her (they seemed to be best friends). My son again started coming to me really sad and scared that his teachers were being mean to him again. He even showed me red finger print marks on his arm just above his elbow. He went on to tell me that teacher was grabbing them and rag dolling them again. I asked him why? And he said "because I wasn't listening". Although I do understand how hard it is to get kids under control. NO ONE NOT EVEN MYSELF will ever leave marks on MY son's arm. I asked him again to show me who it was and he pointed at the other teacher! But this time he hid behind me before even pointing at her so I knew he was scared. So not only did one of them do this prior now the other one was doing it too. We reported our incident to Monica (the director) in which was handled very unprofessional. She literally LAUGHED at our concern and told us that "that was her most structured class". Also adding that we never had the conversation to her about our concerns before (the one on January 9, 2025) We did not feel comfortable taking our kids to this school anymore. And I personally had to drop out of my college classes and quit my job so I could stay home with my sons as this no longer felt like a safe school to keep them in. I would not recommend this school to anyone.

Yes, my child would have accidents and no communication, no communication additional clothing was needed, she would have clothes and undies not hers, diapers that didn't fit, pull ups or no undies, or nothing at all plus red and irritated private parts. My child went to that facility since 6 weeks old and never had so many issues that weren't resolved until recently such as failure to be aware of her lactose allergy and served her whole milk in lieu of Lactaid on numerous occasions. I am appalled this center has not received more complaints and inspections for the lack of attention to detail for each child in their care and the lack of training management has. Also they bribe currently enrolled parents to place positive reviews in order to receive fee waivers, don't trust the reviews. Childcare is one of the most important jobs in existence. I am proud to say that throughout the pandemic we were able to not only survive, but thrive. Though we were clear (at first) about not being able to accommodate older age groups, we did so in an effort to help our alumni families as we always do and always will!! With the help of an amazing person/teacher we were able to accommodate those who had no other choice but to return to work and send their children to us to provide online schooling. I am so proud of what our teachers did for these children and families. Online schooling for 5th grade down was never apart of our staff trainings. However, not only did the teachers get on board, they mastered it! It's not always pretty and not every parent is willing to mirror the work we have done and continue to do for the success of these children, but we will pride ourselves on doing the best we can. I don't believe reviews show the reality, as disgruntled employees or less than willing parents (far and few) seem to be the main cause of a bad review. At the end of the day, we will continue to provide a loving, and educational environment for our kids to thrive! We set the foundation and our goals will always be to create a stable beginning for our next generation. We strive to always be a source of support and love throughout the most sensitive periods of your child's development.

The two main problems we experienced with this daycare - 1. there is a lot of dishonesty and shady behavior regarding money - it is clearly their sole concern and 2. children safety and supervision is severely lacking. First, the money. There were several instances in which we were given incorrect tuition and fee information, repeatedly, by administrative staff only to find out the fees were much more upon required payment. We were among many families who received this tuition information - which is a huge deciding factor when choosing a daycare - only to find out when payment was requested that the tuition was actually higher. No apologies were issued, no courtesy credits or compromises given to make things right for the families who had budgeted for the prior amount. We escalated this to Crystal, hoping she would offer some sort of a solution, explanation or further our understanding of the miscommunication and how it can be avoided moving forward. She offered no explanation or apology. She sat in our meeting with her arms crossed and a smirk on her face. She told us that if she were to honor the price we were given by her staff (on multiple, separate occasions over the course of several months) then SHE WOULD HAVE TO FIRE SOME OF HER TEACHERS at the center because she wouldn't be able to afford the $100-$200 dip in revenue per month. Her offered solution was if we didn't like the new secret price we could find a new daycare. This cold and dismissive response - along with the insulting, blatant lie about having to fire teachers to rectify the situation, from the Owner/Executive Director of the daycare (not to mention COUNCIL MEMBER OF THE EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE DEPARTMENT AND TREASURER OF THE NEW MEXICO CHILD CARE AND EDUCATION ASSOCIATION) was absolutely appalling. The dishonesty and lack of concern should have been insight enough as to the type of establishment this was -despite the beautiful quote about God leading the daycare in the entryway. But we found a way to pay the higher tuition since our child had already been established and we didn't want to uproot. Throughout our time there, we were consistently harassed to purchase expensive Gala tickets to support one of Crystal's causes, as well as 5k tickets and other fundraisers that I have a very low level of trust and confidence as to where the money was actually going, given our experience. Now, to the child safety and lack of supervision. Our young child was bullied often in the classroom as well as on the playground. In the classroom, there was one child in particular who hit, bit, shoved, screamed, etc, at our child among others. Of course, I am a parent and fully understand that these things happen with small children. The issue was brought to the attention of the teacher multiple times, as our child was consistently coming home with marks. We were told they would try to keep this child away from our child, but there wasn't much they could do. We were also told that the bully had autism and his behavior was CAUSED by our child, because our child was too loud and the bully was sensitive to noise. Our child also ran into some bullying on the playground, as the small children were let out on the playground at the same time as the older kids and after-school program kids. Again, nothing they could do. Crystal often had media on the daycare campus to interview her or promote one of her causes/fundraisers - often on the playground. I wonder if less effort went in to her self-promotion, and more effort went into the supervision of our children, if there would have been less incidents. I am grateful, however, for our experience with Crystal and her family/staff, as we have learned in great detail what we would like to avoid at all costs in future daycares and schools.

It's secure which I definitely like, you could call anytime of day to check in and see how your kiddo is doing and someone is always there to answer the phone.
