It's always amazing to see these students compete at Koei Kan's annual Tai Kai tournament where all of North America's Koei Kan schools compete at all ages. Many of the Sensei started with Koei Kan when they themselves were kids, and many others discovered this karate system as adults. They all volunteer their time teaching because of their love for karate and dedication to this dojo.

My wife and I had tried enrolling them at other schools in the past, but they always hesitated to even step onto the mat. That all changed the moment we walked into the Xtreme Edge dojo -- all I could say was wow! The warmth, energy, and love we felt from Renshi and his team were truly unmatched. Since then, we couldn't be happier with the tough-love care and detailed instruction provided by Renshi and all the instructors. This school goes far beyond teaching martial arts -- it's about instilling discipline, values, and life principles that shape strong minds and character in and out of the dojo. It's a transformative experience, and we highly recommend Xtreme Edge Martial Arts to any family looking for more than just a martial arts class. Inspired by my children, I joined a few months later through the Yellow belt Challenge. To date, I've lost 58 pounds and feel better than ever. The physical changes are amazing, but it's also the friendships and community that make this journey so meaningful. You'll meet great people and potentially make lifelong friends. The results speak for themselves -- you won't be disappointed. A heartfelt thank you to Renshi and all the instructors for being such an important part of our lives!

The owner and instructors CARE and that is hard to find now a days. They make every family feel like they matter and have a voice. They don't just let your kids move up in belt because you pay the fee. They actually teach them what is needed and they have to work for it. Their classes have helped my son with his discipline and helps him release all the extra energy he can't during regular school hours. If you miss a class they will allow you to make it up as long as you inform them. The workout classes for adults are amazing. No Judgment zone and allows you to work at your own pace. They motivate you and hold you accountable. I am not a fit person and in 2 months I was able to not only lose some weight and inches, but actually enjoyed working out. They offer Zumba, NJHITT, and Kickboxing classes. They also have Nerf night for parents where you pay a small fee and you can leave your kids there for 3 hours playing with dinner included. They also have amazing parties and events in the summer for the kids. Shinsei Maribel is amazing with the kids and they all love and respect her.

For a 30 minute class, they routinely begin class upwards of 9 minutes late and even end a minute or two early. Even still, the majority of the "martial arts" instruction consists of stretching, jumping jacks, and sitting with their eyes closed (ie. "meditation"). Pretty lazy and uninspiring. I brought this to the attention of the director and it was completely dismissed with no accountability on the issue I was presenting. Classes aren't cheap either. Stay away.
