This was my first maintenance visit for my Acura. I initially made the appointment using their online appointment page. Upon completing my online appointment a notice indicated they would be contacting me within 24 or 48 hours to confirm my date/time. I called the service department within less than 48 hours because my urgency to get my car serviced before the Christmas break and quickly received a confirmation the phone. Upon arriving to the dealer I was promptly welcomed with a smile. The service manager quickly explained approximately how long the service would take and the things they would inspect. After that, he promptly walked me to the waiting area. The waiting are had some water in the mini fridge but the coffee machine I could not get it to dispense coffee. They had some good newspapers and magazines to read but I decided to stretch my legs and browse the cars in the showroom. I have to say my initial appointment went well and looking forward for the same great level of customer service. This is how you keep customers to come back. My only recommendation would be to ensure the waiting area amenities are ready to be enjoyed by customers. It is something a customer buying/servicing a premium car would expect. read more

Yeah the sales side of this dealership did leave quite the bad taste in my mouth. Of the 4 or 5 local dealerships in town I visited, I would put this one in last place. It's like they didn't get the memo that high pressure sales is a thing of the past and only pushes people away. They also talk smack about their competition and other cars that you may be interested that are not located on their lot. One funny bit is that I test drove an Acura from another dealer in ABQ (listed for 50K) and of course they said it was a bad car now its on their lot listed for 55K (the carfax does not lie). So if you want a car priced way over market value, I would recommend Montano Acura. If not there are way better alternatives out there. Its sad because Acura's are amazing cars but not from this dealership. read more

While traveling through New Mexico, we encountered a blown radiator. We tried the local mechanics and Honda dealership who declined to service our vehicle. We were forced to endure an $800 tow to Montano Acura, the closest location willing to service our vehicle on a Saturday. Gabriel, the service manager, went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of in every detail. He had Tevin from the parts department source a radiator and other necessary parts for the anticipated repair just in the nick of time (30 minutes before warehouse closure). Tracy, the senior tech, finished the repair in record time. Gabriel followed the repair every step of the way, from tow drop off, to making hourly update calls to even toweling off water residue from the car wash for handoff. All in all, a 5 hour turnaround on a holiday weekend is nothing short of a miracle. I've had service at other dealerships but have never been provided this level of attention. I like how professional these guys are and the quality of the cars. I have had my car for about 18 months now and not a single issue with the car. The reason why they are getting 4 stars instead of 5 because there was one time that made me late to my meeting and I was supposed to be presenting that day. They promised me the car will be done in 45 mins and it turned out to be 1.5 hours. But besides that, if you are thinking about a luxurious car that looks nice and slick, Acura might be it. Like someone else mentioned it before, they will squeeze you in for maintenance if you have to come in ASAP. They will take you to work or wherever and pick you back up. I like their waiting area. But, I have to say - I have bought 2 Acuras here over the years and I have to admit - it's been pretty boring. Don't get me wrong - sticker and sucker look alike for a reason. But, in both my transactions, I felt like my kid playing cards. They made it look tough, but I think they let me win. But, most importantly, I never felt like was being taken advantage of or deceived. It was a straight forward, above the board business transaction. First oil change - free! Great way to put the espresso machine through the paces. (No crappy black tar coffee here, peeps). Hassle free, painless and pretty competitive pricing. Two thumbs up here! read more

First off, I rarely write reviews for anything, but this one deserves one. I purchased 2014 Acura MDX and got rear ended. I took my car to the service department and specifically asked for the service manager (can't remember his name right now) to come out and take a look at it. After waiting half an hour the service manager comes back out and tells me everything is fine, nothing is wrong at all. I am very upset with his answer, as clearly anyone can see that the bottom panel of my car isn't straight. I end up going to a collision center and right away the technician spotted the bottom panel wasn't straight and ordered me the part. I called Acura back today (11/11/15) and spoke with the manager, Jim Edens, who seems to only defend his employees and calls his customers liars on the phone. While I spoke to him, he told me, "managers only over see, but don't fully understand while technicians do the work." What I don't understand is how a manager can oversee the technician's work but not fully understand how the work is done. If the the manager is not sure of what a proper job is how is he going to be sure the technicians job is proper. It doesn't make sense. After an hour and a half of Jim telling me that I'm lying to him and they didn't do anything wrong, hung up the phone on me. This is by far the worst customer experience that I have ever had at a car dealership. The managers that work there seem to know nothing about cars and only like to talk in a condescending tone. I will personally never go back to this dealership as I'm not sure that I can trust their judgment anymore. read more

The salesman sold me a brand new Acura RDX Aspec that he said had been inspected, washed , and detailed. I had it for a week and decided to wash it. That's when I noticed a long, deep scratch on the back tailgate and it was obvious they had tried to hide it with touch up paint. I immediately called the dealership and spoke to the same salesman. Not only did he lie to me about the scratch , but he had the nerve to accuse me of causing it and refused to fix it. BAD SALESMAN - haircut like Nicolas from Eight is Enough My wife and I stopped by Montano Acura today at about 11:30AM with the intention of viewing a specific Acura model that caught our eye while doing internet research on a replacement car for my wife. Apparently they don't allow potential customers to look at their cars in the showroom without a sales man present. I say this because as I was approached by a salesman, I said to him, "just looking, don't need a sales guy." His response was, "then you came to the wrong place." He said it in a dead serious manner. I couldn't believe me ears. Given I'm 58, successful and appropriately dressed, none of what I heard made sense. My wife immediately headed for the exit. I asked him who his boss was and he said, "I am". Never again will I set foot in Montano Acura. read more

Montano Acura has gone the extra mile to FedEx waiver papers to us, because we live 60 miles from the dealer, and to arrange for us to have rental cars until our cars can be repaired. Since we took delivery of the RDX around closing time, they owed us a detail. Also, the floor mats were missing and we forgot to ask for a full tank of gas, which was at 1/4 tank. Upon our return a few days later for the detail, we learned we were getting brand new mats AND a full tank of gas! Classy group, and looks to be in good shape under new leadership.
