I ordered a 10 oz sirloin dinner. I was sent some kind of pastry wrap. I called the restaurant, they said that they were aware and sending out the steak right away. OK, fine. When they sent out the steak, that was supposed to be medium rare, they sent out basically a raw steak and ONLY the steak. Apparently, they fucked up my meal and then I'm supposed to mix and match their mistake, taking cold potatoes and beans from the first meal to mix with the uncooked steak from the second. This is the most garbage excuse for service. Its been awhile since I've ordered from Rochdale location in Regina and it'll probably be never again. read more

Meh-ntana's, the name says it all. I am not sure of the point of this restaurant chain. Montana isn't known for BBQ, nor is it known for any particular food type. The restaurant appears to be decorated with left-overs from a bad garage sale, with the addition of an old artificial Xmas tree. We arrived at 7PM with low expectations, and the restaurant failed to meet them. There was no one at the reception and it was at least 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged our presence. I don't dine often in Montana's, but when I do I left with a good feeling. Reasonable price, good food, and drink specials. Service was good, and overall I enjoyed dining in there. I ordered the Canadian Burger. Not bad, but I would have enjoyed better if they had mustard. The server said they ran out of mustard. A year ago I visited same location, I had same issue. I would just suggest that if you're going to serve burgers, always have the toppings that are common. Burgers already include mayonnaise, tables have ketchup, and other house special sauces. Would be nice to see them have mustard. Anyway, I had a good experience and I would comeback in the future. read more

Have ordered take out twice now from this new Montanas in the North and will not do it again. First time forgot to put our order in so waited another 25 minutes for order. Offered my husband a free beer for the wait. Tried once more tonight and my kids meal came with chicken fingers only, no fries or veggies. Actually picking up the order thy have there bartender who seems to be doing the best job out of anyone having to do take out payments - not the most efficient! read more

Let me start this by saying this, the food, once we got it, was really good and typical Montana's food. We got there at 5:31pm, I know this because the hostess said the time as she wrote our reservation down. She gave me this blinker device and said about 5 minutes. We sat down in the waiting alcove. Other people came in and were seated -- but I didn't even really notice that until the hostess came right over and said that she forgot about us and there was a table right here for us. 30 minutes later our order was taken. Not a bad place for lunch. Nothing spectacular. I had the pulled pork panini. Lifted it up to find a bunch of pieces of charcoal underneath. Didn't affect taste, but not exactly what you want to see the whole time you are eating. Sweet potatoes fries were good. They have a good selection of draft beers, and plenty of tv's for watching sports. I can't say I would come here specifically to watch a game, but it is nice to see while waiting for a table or during lunch. Not bad. Not the best out there, but not bad. Had the 54 day old aged 7 oz. steak with a side of cole slaw and a loaded baked potato. The steak was a bit chewy but had a lot of flavor. The staff at this location was extremely unwelcoming, the service we received was minimal and not to mention, we overheard the manager mocking us to the cooks and waitress in the kitchen. I would not recommend eating at this location, unless you want to be ridiculed by the employees. read more

I love Montana's and I particularly love this location. I had an issue with a takeout order and I was called directly by the General Manager who then went well above and beyond to rectify my issue. Ribs are amazing, great atmosphere for my kids, and the portions are huge. If you love BBQ this is the place to go. read more

Every time I've been there I've had terrible service, the waitress will be nowhere to be found and then finally another one will bring my food which usually comes to me cool as it has been sitting waiting for a while. Tonight my waitress was sitting at the bar drinking and other waitresses had to clear our table for us and grab our waitress so we could pay and leave.. Took half an hour to get our drinks and at least an hour to get our food. read more

Was there for lunch and it took almost 2 hours. No one came and checked on us or explained the wait. Steak was UNcutable even with the steak knives. We complained to the manager and got no response. Not sorry, just asked if anyone came to check on us during our wait. Lots of staff around, It was after 1 pm so not busy at all. The ribs were good, but pretty standard rib fare. Kind of a fun place to eat, with a ranchy feel to the decor. A small sports bar to the side offers 3 big screen TVs and at least 6 Beers on tap. I had the signature Beef Rib and Wings Combo. I asked for the wings as an entree, which they willingly complied. Wings were very good. The Beef Rib was terrific. Very meaty and melt in your mouth tender. Nice choice of sides makes for a well rounded meal. Service was friendly and efficient. All in all a very good dining experience, that I can recommend. read more

We came for lunch which judging by the prices that's all I would ever go for. The lunch prices were great but dining prices were crazy! I had a steak sandwich with soup and it was so great the service was speedy and she was super funny! This really was an all round great experience for us and we would go again... For lunch!! Nearly a 45 minute wait for one of their most popular meals. I watched every other table in my group receive, eat, and pay for their meals before I was even updated on the status of my food. We have eating there a few time and the food is good and the services was very good . But on this Saturday it was off . We just came from a movie . If was after their big supper rush we can in just after 7 pm the place was full .But we were seated right away . The Girl serving us looked busy . First my drink order was screwed up , I had ordered a smokey peach lemonade. Instead the girl brought me a big mama . Which came back and apologize for the drink mistake . Good thing I am not allergic to strawberries but my wife is. Second thing is my dinner I ordered a steak medium to medium rare. After 50 minutes waiting for our meal came my steak was completely well done. I was at the point of being ticked off . The waiter took it away and the Manager came to apologized for the mixup and said that my steak will be out quickly. The waiter came out shorty with another steak it was ok. This was what I call the first poor meal I have there. .I felt the girl goof on the order with my drink and as my wife order well done for her steak and went well done on both . Also I had to ask her twice for water after ordering drinks . I found her forgetful but very busy for a Saturday night. As a saying goes things happen and mistakes happen too. . We waited way too long to be seated when the restaurant was basically empty. Then waited over 45 minutes for our food. When the food arrived, I find out that they had run out of part of what was needed for my order. The kitchen staff took it upon themselves to substitute the item for something else. When the waitress brought it to me (without telling me beforehand that they had substituted an item) she just assumed that I would eat it. "This is ok, right". She seemed angry that I sent it back. I didn't order a replacement because I didn't have time to wait another hour for something to eat. When she brought the bill for my husband's meal, she still had mine on the bill. We had to wait for a ridiculous amount of time while she went and redid the bill. Will never be back. I have been to montanas in Saskatoon and Prince Albert and their food and service was exceptional. This place, however, was a joke. I now see why there wasn't anyone there. read more
