He replied with a snarky "that's fine, but who is going to cover the cost of the materials I just ordered?" First of all, I never said I wasn't going to reschedule. Second, I assumed he would need me here while he did the job so I could pay him. When we talked about schedule availability he never informed me that materials would be purchased so far in advance and that I would be required to pay if I needed to cancel. I have had work done on my home before and am aware a % down is due before work begins, but never 2 months out with no communication to the client. When I informed him that I live alone and had to go out of town for work that week, he replied with "I'm sure you just found someone who could do it sooner. I have been in business here for 18 years with 100% approval rating so good luck" Very rude and unprofessional.

Plus, there was zero hassle dealing with them. Zero. From start to finish, it went smoothly. The initial sales, estimates, explanations of choices were simple and clear. The crew and their foreman were skilled and answered all my questions. The office staff were similarly responsive, clear and prompt.
