Day 1 was with Matt and Day 2 we were with Jarrett. They were both fantastic and couldn't imagine being taken care of any better! We learned so much. The fishing was fantastic and are already planning next years trip! Nate is extremely professional and his attention to detail made the trip completely hassle free! We stayed at the Nobel Bison in Ennis which was close to the fishing. We highly Recommend "Trout on the line"... Wally M. and Logan M.

On the first day, we hiked two miles in to a remote alpine lake and I caught my first Arctic Greyling (and then 10 more and a dozen or so Yellowstone Cutthroats). On the second day, we spent the morning honing my casting skills on the Firehole River, catching over a dozen fat Rainbows and Browns. After lunch we hit the Gibbon for what Buddy called "feature water" where I caught a couple Westslope Cutthroats and bunch of hungry Browns on dry flies. 50 fish, 5 species in 2 days. I'll be back soon!

Eric is a skilled, knowledgeable, and patient guide who is able to work with everyone from the inexperienced angler to the angler who only needs someone to guide the boat. We have drifted the Yellowstone, fished private spring creeks, fished private lakes and private ranches that very few guides have access to. Each location is a different experience and I am returning again for my fourth trip as these are some of my favorite fishing experiences. We caught cutthroat, rainbows, browns, cutbows and even a few whities. Livingston Montana and the Paradise Valley are some of the most beautiful places in the US. Bring your camera and have yourself a terrific experience. Looking for a place to stay? Eric can arrange a private home stay with full kitchen, bedrooms, living room with cable with easy access to many of the finer restaurants and bars in Livingston.

1 star. I would strongly caution others before renting from Big Boys Toys - and specifically the…read moreowner, Ethan. Our group rented a 4-seater and three individual quads on August 8. We were specifically told one quad would be a Yamaha, but instead received a different quad that repeatedly shut off during our ride. Based on our interactions with Big Boys Toys, it became apparent that they were already aware this equipment had been experiencing mechanical issues before it was rented to us. That quad eventually became completely inoperable. We immediately contacted Big Boys Toys and followed their instructions on where to leave it. We then had to arrange for someone with a personal vehicle to retrieve the stranded rider. During that process, a second one of our three individual quads also became inoperable. At that point, two of the three quads we rented had broken down, we lost a significant portion of our rental time, and we ultimately had to end the outing early. The personal vehicle used to retrieve our stranded riders also sustained scratches and wheel damage. I contacted Big Boys Toys afterward requesting a refund given everything that happened. Instead, they charged us an additional $260 to retrieve the malfunctioning vehicles. So, in summary: we were provided equipment that Big Boys Toys appeared to already know had mechanical issues, two of our three individual quads became inoperable, riders were left stranded, we had to use and damage a personal vehicle retrieving them, our outing was cut short, and we were then charged another $260 for Big Boys Toys to pick up their malfunctioning equipment. We have photos and videos documenting the equipment and what occurred. Equipment can break. What is unacceptable is renting equipment with known issues and then making the customer pay hundreds of dollars more when that equipment fails. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Big Boys Toys. The owner Ethan is unethical for not only renting out known malfunctioned equipment, but then charging the customer for it. Stay away from this spot.

The path to the waterfall is also paved with asphalt so it's a smooth walk up and great for strollers. There are two vault toilets at the parking lot, and a small picnic area near the entrance of the parking lot. This is an amazing waterfall. Water cascades down a columnar basalt face so it's particularly stunning. I've seen amazing columnar basalt formations (Devils Tower, Devils Postpile), but none with a water element. It's very memorable. I saw some people trying to scramble up the rocks to get to the top of the waterfall, but I'm not sure how safe that is. From satellite photos it looks like there's just forest up there anyways.
