Pierre was mine. He was absolutely amazing. I got so much better after lessons with him. The people at the ski rental and customer service area were nice and helpful. Like all ski resorts, they have a cafeteria and offer several options for food. You can buy anything you forgot here and they have lots of choices for clothing gear goggles. You name it. The staff on the slopes is very helpful and it has a great feeling overall..

Wonderful hill worth the somewhat long drive!…read more I came here on a Sunday with my partner. Buying tickets online was super simple. For a 4-hour block, the student price was 40$ + 4.35$ for the rechargeable ski card. We arrived to the hill and there was a sign saying the parking lot was full but we managed to find a spot. For the first time you ski here, you need to go to the ticket booth to get your card. However, for future visits, you just enter your card number when you buy the ticket online and you don't have to wait in any lines when you get there. The hill is very well maintained. Lots of varied runs of varying difficulties. Great options for beginner and intermediate skiers. A few tougher options for more advanced skiers as well as a park for those who like to do tricks. Employees were nice and helpful. Driving back to Montreal in the afternoon/evening on a Sunday took almost 2 hours because of the traffic so be aware of that (especially with the curfew). Even with this minor negative, we have a wonderful day and look forward to coming here again!

I remember back in the 1994-95 season, when I first became a ski instructor, I got my CSIA Level 1 at Mont Saint Sauveur in January of 1995. Later that season, in April, I got my CSIA Level 2 at Tremblant. Mont Saint Sauveur has such a long history being a ski resort, from the days of the ski train way back well before my time, to the Laurentian Autoroute (Highway), which gave people easier access to the Laurentians than route 117. The nice thing about Mont Saint Sauveur is that after you finish skiing, there are lots of great restaurants in town, as well as places to stay. Before I became a ski instructor, I took my pre-instructor course there too, and I enjoyed it a lot. I was always happy to share my love of skiing with someone that might have been new to the sport. It's a great way to be outside and enjoy nature. I used to ski with my mom, which was fun, as I could practice my teaching with her as well. I'm happy to give this ski hill 5 stars. BTW, if you come from Montreal to go skiing there on the weekend, I would suggest leaving later on Sunday night, as there is less traffic. If not, you'll be stuck in traffic all the way to Montreal, which is not pleasant. I suggest going to a restaurant in town, to the ski hill bar itself or taking a nice walk.

Also note that if you buy it online you can save 10% however you have up until the day before you plan to make your purchase. They give you a GoPass which fits in a pocket and must have some kind of chip in it because you can't access the chairlift until you pass through these automatic gates that open when your GoPass is read. The price for rentals is also fair. Since it is a smaller mountain expect fewer runs. They are fairly challenging though which I like. The pitches are tricky for novice skiers like myself. I can't speak for how an experienced skier would find it. I do wish though that they had some longer runs since I do love those quite a bit. The cafeteria is expensive and the food is so so but in my experience this is par for the course at most ski resorts in Quebec. My major complaint is that portions are pretty small. I was still hungry after downing a plate of subpar pasta. I mean come on you've got people doing hours of exercise, they're going to be hungry! Your best bet is to just bring your own lunch especially if you want to eat healthy because the majority of the offerings are things like burgers and fries.

Had an amazing week of skiing with the family!…read more For a first time skiing in Canada we all agreed this was a good choice. Plenty of terrain for advanced skiing which most of our party was. There are plenty of beginner slopes close by if you are unsure if your little ones are right for hear. I don't typically stop for lunch but I could not help myself in going back time and time again to grab a chili to warm up and thaw out. Loved seeing the fresh baked goods at the top lodge, i can safely say I stayed away from them. Mid week parking very manageable. P2 & P3 lots very close for walking to the access lift. I took a hard slip and fall on the ice so be sure not to take long strides while going through the parking lot. Lift lines were a breeze all week, even on Saturday with the Duncan lift down. Longest I ever waited was 20 minutes on the edge lift, and that was because the lifties did not do a good job clearing snow under the chairs so everyone kept loosing their skis. I bounced around in the singles line and in my group of four and both moved very well. I would absolutely come here again, there is plenty of places to stay around the area so arriving on a Saturday night to ski Sunday is very doable.
