One of my favorite shows. I love the interaction they have with the audience. I'm not sure I'd like it as much if I was one of the ones that was picked on, but being a silent audience member I loved it. I can see why people watch the show multiple times as each show is different. You don't need to see the movie to enjoy the show. I don't think you need to get there as early as we did as the theater is very big. I didn't like how you needed to squeeze in the pre-show location as they waited for the show to start. I would say this show is a must and you don't need a lightening lane for this show. read more

There's no line into the theater so folks flow through the doors at a rapid pace and clamor for the seats. Large screens are used to display animation so there's not really a bad seat. I've gone to Disney World Magic Kingdoms several times and I finally had a chance to go to Monsters Laugh Floor on my latest trip over memorial day with my family. Monsters Laugh Floor is located in Magic Kingdom within Tomorrowland. It's close to Tomorrowland's main entrance area. We had purchased a genie+, and our lightning lane was pretty quick, with limited wait time to queue up. I wasn't sure what to expect. You first enter a giant room that shows you a variety of videos. This is a show. It's interactive with the audience and you may even be selected! All ages are welcome to the show and there is no height restrictions. Throughout the show, they will use cameras on audience members! If you've got a good joke, you can text your favorite joke before the show goes live! You may hear it! The task is to help Mike Wazowski fill up the laugh tank! This is a super fun show, improved, and I'd highly recommend stopping by this attraction. It's unique each time! read more

Monsters laugh floor is a Walt Disney work magical kingdom attraction that features the cast and talent from Pixar's animated monsters inc franchise. Interactive attraction that me and the kids always enjoy visiting when at magic kingdom. Near the main entrance as you enter Tomorrowland so its usually the first attraction we hit up. It also always has little to no wait. You enter a giant room that shows the pre attraction videos. There is a number you can text a joke to that may or may not use during your viewing. They've actually used one I texted several years ago. A little dated joke but my joke was "did you hear the energizer bunny got arrested last night?....he was charged with battery". Anyways the show is very funny and very interactive. They use cameras and involve the audience members as part of the show and it features as mentioned above all your favorite animated characters from monsters inc. Overall I always leave this attraction with a smile. Cute, fun and accessible to all age groups. read more

I think this show is extremely underrated and so many more people should be coming here! Throughout the day, I always noticed that the wait time for this show was never long. Granted, it can handle a lot of capacity given it's a pretty big auditorium-size. But I just don't think enough people are coming here!! Monsters Laugh Floor is truly HILARIOUS and the cast members are making up a lot of it, if not all of it, ON THE SPOT! Every show is different because of that, which is absolutely delightful to know, so each time you come here, the show will be fresh! They play with the audience, you can submit jokes yourself and they might incorporate it in, and it's just a wonderful reason to get off your feet for quite a while and get some belly laughs in! I can imagine that this is probably not as exciting as a ride is, but it's family-friendly and was a ton of fun. It incorporates well into the Monsters, Inc. universe, which is a movie duo that I really love as well! I'm highly recommending everyone do this during one of those times when you want to be off your feet because it's not just restful, it's invigorating! A MUST! read more

This is a really fun show for any age group. A big plus is also getting to sit down in the AC for a bit on a scorching summer Orlando day. The monsters are presented on a giant video screen and do generate some great laughs. The audience gets to participate in the show also. People are randomly selected and displayed on the screen, getting assignments or requests to play along with the monsters. Pre-COVID review Monsters Laugh Floor is such a fun experience! The show changes every time due to the audience members being chosen to participate, so we try to catch it each time we visit WDW. As others have mentioned, there's no need for a FastPass for this. Just catch the next showtime if one is full. You are tasked with helping Mike Wazowski fill up the laugh tank so he doesn't have to face the wrath of Roz! The laughs are gathered by some monster students who are practicing their routines while at Monsters University. The fun part of the show is that the monsters interact and talk directly to audience members! It's a little bit of improv that is usually pretty funny. They'll often choose one person to keep picking on throughout the whole show. I'm always amazed at how quick the monsters are at doing the improv and going with whatever the kids or adults are saying - it's pretty impressive and I always end up laughing! This is the best! It's not something you need to fastpass because the show goes quick and the wait time is usually 15 minutes. It's interactive and each show has a similar set up but is otherwise unique so it is so worth going to multiple times in one trip! While waiting in line they give you a number and ley word to text in your jokes that one of the performers will read. One of my dorky math teacher jokes got read and I was so excited! The first time we went everything went normally but the second time one of the audience volunteers did his own bit with the performer, who asked him to come to every show because of it. It was hilarious both times and we even returned with my dad to get him to see it. read more

The goal is to fill a giant canister full of laughter to create power for the Monster City of Metropolis. During the show, monsters interact with the human guests in clever ways to make the crowd laugh. I like the banter between Mike W. and his Boss Roz. She is one tough cookie and a bit sadistic. Poor Mike W. I guest I am a sadistic too since her meanness makes me laugh out loud. I almost forgot, while you are waiting for the show to start you may Text a joke which maybe included in the show. I consider the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor to be one of those "Ride it while the lines are long" rides, but it's a fun one at that. I think of it as one of Tomorrowland's underrated treasures. A reason to get in the air conditioning, sit in a seat, and laugh your butt off. What could be better? Waiting for this ride usually is not that long, and there are some fun little videos on the TVs while you are in the queue. The theatre can fit a ton of people, and every seat gives a great view. The show consists of a few different monsters coming out and doing a stand up comedy act. What is so interesting is that there are actual people behind the stage voicing the monsters! I love how they can come with things on the spot to say to the audience, and all of the different jokes they tell. To be honest, I've seen this show so many times that I hear some of the same jokes a lot, but depending on what the people say in the audience can make for great improv! To the right of the screen, you'll see Mike trying to fill up his Laugh-o-meter, and it's fun to watch it fill up as the monsters are telling their jokes. I wouldn't say you absolutely could not live without this attraction, but after all of these years, it still holds up for one of the best pixar movies! read more

Going to The Magic Kingdom and not seeing Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor would be like going to Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory and not eating chocolate. The show at MK is an absolute MUST-DO!! While the shows are similar, no two shows are ever the same. Both kids and adults will be laughing throughout the show and leaving with a huge smile. If you're not laughing, then something is terribly wrong with you so get to a doctor fast! :) I can't say too much more or I'll be giving the whole show away. So just go see it already!!! Also, on Mondays and Thursdays they have ASL interpreters at the 1:30pm show for the hearing impaired. I'm fluent in ASL and I must say these are some of the best interpreters I have seen; they are even all out funny! read more

Let me preface this review: I have not seen Monsters Inc or Monsters University. I walked into this attraction wanting to experience something I'd never done before at the Magic Kingdom, and I absolutely adored it! Located next to Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Monsters Inc Laugh Floor is a super fun show that'll keep a smile on your face from start to finish. Don't worry if you haven't seen the film(s), the preshow gives a great rundown to get you up to speed. During said preshow you can also text your own suggested jokes to be used during the show. Make your way into the theatre and be ready to laugh. Using multiple screens, cameras, audience participation, and other devices the attraction engages and keeps you grinning from start to finish. Several monsters appear and in the spirit of a comedy club (family friendly that is) tell jokes, pick on audience members, tell your texted jokes, etc to try and harness the power of laughter to fill the monsters power supply battery. This is a fully interactive attraction and that being said you could easily end up on screen and bantering with the monsters, so be warned, those of you who are shy. But it's all in good fun and nothing about this experience is mean spirited. I am so glad I took a chance and experienced this great attraction; it's deff on my do not miss list from now on. read more

It's similar to Turtle Talk in that it's a digital screen with the characters after speaking right to you, doing some standup and having a fun time. Laughing makes the world go 'round! Or at least is needed to power Monstropolis! I have to say I have done this show about 10 times now and have never been 'picked' on. So don't go in expecting them to caption you, talk to you or joke with you. Go for the fun experience of seeing Monsters do stand up! I recommend the show for sure! But this isn't something I would wait in a long line for...I usually hit it up towards park opening or closing. It's usually not open very late for extra magic hours though...only during the FIRST house of Evening EMH! read more

I am so glad we decided to go to this show. It was hilarious! It's an interactive stand-up comedy show (in other words, members of the audience will get picked on), but it's with cartoons, instead of actual people. It's amazing and so funny. We totally loved it! The show isn't very long, but it's in a nice, air-conditioned space. The theatre is somewhat set-up to resemble a comedy club. It's a fairly large theatre, so it can accommodate a decent-sized crowd. You can text in jokes before the show and possibly have them included as part of the show. It's so funny! We had a great time, and, if anything, I wish the show would've been longer. This is definitely something not to be missed when visiting Disney World! read more

You queue up outside a large theater, and then are ushered in for a 15 minute live stand up routine put on by Mike Wazowski, of Monsters Inc. fame. The humor is light-hearted, family-friendly and clean, and involves the audience. Be ready to be chosen or called on! Also, it's worth noting that this is a fully-indoor and enclosed theater, which, of course, means air-conditioned for those of you visiting during Florida's hot weather months. The only reason I ended up going in here was because there was no wait and I was burning alive outside. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this attraction. After a quick pre show video you are ushered into a room that looks like a comedy club, but man were those benches uncomfortable. The audience is instructed that laughs are more desirable than children's screams to provide power so the monsters are going to capture the laughs of the audience with a comedy show. Various monsters come on stage with their routines and there is interaction with the people in the audience. To my surprise the show was really funny. One of the best attractions in the Islands of Adventure! The Monsters Inc Laugh Floor is a live comedy show that's interactive with the audience. Our wait was only five minutes, where you'll step in and watch an introductory video before setting foot into the theater. The virtual movie screen will project monsters one by one who will do stand up comedy, but there is someone behind the scenes voicing them so they will be asking questions from the audience and doing improv comedy. They'll also pick out live audience members that resemble some of the monsters from the movie, such as Sulley and Mike, and in our case they were spot on! Probably the biggest surprise in Disney World's Magic Kingdom. It's basically a stand up comedy show with the Monster Inc. characters. They actually pick at the audience members so if you're shy this might not be the show for you and as you will show up on the big screen. Even though some of the jokes were pretty corny, I still found myself laughing multiple times. The audience was really into it so they were doing their job right. It lasts about 15 minutes which is pretty god for a show of this size as well as a park as big as this. If you need a break from walking and want to laugh this is the place to go. read more
