From what I was told, the business hasn't had its grand opening yet. It's open for business to patrons but still working out some kinks. The environment is nice and has a cool, casual vibe. There are swings at the bar which is fun and various table chair setups through. The bathrooms are nothing fancy and overall the place was clean. When you arrive, there is a guard at the door that checks your ID and your bag. I'm not sure if there's an age requirement to get in. There is a full bar however I did not see any children while I was there so I am going to assume that it may be 21 and up. As for the food and service, I personally did not order anything to eat due to the service taking forever. I ordered a drink with the intention of ordering food but the drink took well over half an hour to come out. It wasn't busy but I think the server was overwhelmed or doesn't have the service skills to move more efficiently in the serving process. She forgot some of the people's orders that were with me and didn't know how to pronounce the names of the liquors they had such as Bacardi or Tanqueray. She was really nice but could have been more efficient. I did have some of my friends chicken wings and they were pretty good. I wanted to try the seafood platter but based on the wait time for the drink I didn't wanna take the chance because I kind of think I'd still be waiting on that. The other tip that I would give to the business is to have better ventilation in the building. When I entered there was a strong smell of fried foods, like grease. Several of us were unhappy with the burning in our eyes from the fried foods. I plan to come back and check out the business again because I really want to love the place and I see that they have great potential to be awesome! Terrible! I was there for less than ten minutes for Sunday Brunch and they were taking forever with the drinks. Another patron confronted me to leave a seat that was never occupied, then ANOTHER one that was in their group of 5 maybe asked me to leave the, again, unoccupied seat. I said I was going to leave once I got my drink that somehow took 5 minutes to make (I never got it btw) and the security guard just came and threw me out. He didn't ask any questions, he just walked up to me and said you gotta go. Because the first one told me I couldn't sit in a seat that wasn't occupied for the last 5 minutes I was a waiting for one of their endless mimosas. If you ask me, those things should be already made to avoid confrontation and confusion like this. And had the NERVE to not comply with COVID guidelines. Crazy, if you ask me. Pre anniversary brunch with my wife! Endless mimosas and buffet style brunch was good. Music was lively and the service was timely and attentive. I love the salmon! It was mouth watering and flavorful. They made our anniversary brunch memorable. We will definitely be back. read more

I went for the Sunday brunch. They have a great variety of breakfast and lunch options to choose from. The service, food, mimosas, music and vibe was great!!! The swings looked cool. Only thing I wasn't in love with was location. In which means I'll patronize day or early evening events so that I'm entering and leaving at decent hours. It's a must try. read more

Well we came here for my daughter's birthday and I was hoping this place would be better than the other places I tried and sadly it wasn't. The coolest thing about this place were the swings, other than that the rest was trash. As the GPS guided me to this location I was growing nervous because of the area. I've never been to a restaurant where the frisk you and check purses before you enter and from that you can picture the type of area this restaurant is in. Wait wasn't that long I guess, when the food came out we were disappointed. The crab legs were small as f*ck, the corn was old or spoiled and the potatoes were old and mushy. The seasoning was okay and the the place had just about every person from every hood in there. I guess I should have taken advantage of the $2 Tuesday Ciroc shots, maybe the food would've tasted better. The egg was the only thing worth eating. My girlfriend had the sampler platter and it was greasy, taste like it was friend in old grease. It's a no for me, I don't want to go somewhere where I have to be worried about my safety. Definitely a great place to hang out with FRIENDS. Its a kid friendly restaurant so I had my 10yr old with me, which is where the problem came n at. Adults were twerking (grinding) on one another, I have nothing against Gays & lesbians but my 10yr old didn't need to see 2 grown men humping. Other then that food was incredible! He was great..he told us the specials ($2 ciroc shots, all u can eat taco bar for $15), lets us sample the frozen mango tequila and cherry hennessy , and recommended the golden and wings and lobster fries. Great atmosphere with swings for seats at the bar! Had a few things off the menu and all were good. Highlight was the Golden Wings.

My first time there I was truly impressed with the atmosphere, drinks and food. I came back the following Friday afternoon and had the worst experience.... waited 1 hour for my food, the food was nasty, the chicken and fries taste like the grease was old. NO ONE and I mean NO ONE who worked there wore a mask... the barmaid/waitress DID NOT wipe the counter space down when customers who left, she just removed their plates/glasses. The owner needs to spend more time at his establishment or get cameras installed, because this place is ran by kids who don't care The only reason I give this place a 2 is because the drinks are strong and were 5 bucks. And after I complained the dreadlock manager who also did not wear a mask gave us the food free. read more

If I could give this place 0 Stars if I could. Customer service...horrible...been here a hour...no food...service are confused about specials. Been here since 4:50, it's 6:30. No food. They say all you can eat...don't fall for it. Line is too long and you not getting back in to get food. So you paying 35$ for what you get!!! Ok let's start with the good. 2 stars because the location itself is beyond nice and the music was perfect . The shrimp basket I had was really good BUT that came after the horrible 2 for 2 tacos they served us on their $2 Tuesday's. The tacos tasted like a cold paper towel with meat inside. Our waitress was HORRIBLE. She was moving entirely too fast & rarely ever came to check on us which I don't understand because the place wasn't overly crowded. She would take a order and dash away.. It was 3 of us at the table & she didn't even take the time after one person ordered something to say "does anybody want anything else" which they did. In the mist of waiting on the waitress we asked a waiter for a glass of orange juice never got it. I went to the bar & asked for a straw, the guy said ok, walked away to hug guests & never came back. ANOTHER HORRIBLE WAITER. After my complaint about the tacos this nice guy came over (I believe he was a manager) & took them off our bill and took our replacement order. The waitress never came back until 20 mins later. He ended up bringing our food to us. We appreciated his help & quickness compared to the waitress. I decided to patronize this restaurant because I've been on a quest to invest in black owned establishments. However, the type of experience I had is the epitome of why black owned establishments get a bad rap. The customer service was trash. It was a total of 7 people in the entire restaurant, 2 of which were customers , 4 people in the kitchen and a woman taking the order. My order was a wing and fry. Out of 4 people in the kitchen it took 45 minutes for my food to come out. Where was the management? This place needs to go through customer training, proper business etiquette, greeting for entering and exiting, checking on the customer periodically throughout their wait, or throw the whole staff away. There is absolutely no reason for 4 people not to be able to drop a single order of chicken and fries in under 45 min. I fault the management. Have a meeting get people in there who want to work and set the example of how a business is supposed to be run or close your doors. Cause you can't successfully have a restaurant which your homies are patronizing, they are painting a false picture on your iG page @monroe. I was disappointed. I'd love to come back in the event everything I stated in this review has been considered. read more
