She seated us at our table (we had a reservation) table was a mess underneath no one sweet up after whoever was sitting there, table was sticky, they weren't busy at all so not sure what took so long for our hostess to show up. When she showed up the young lady was nice and smiling. She took our orders and gave us a few tips on what was poplar and what wasn't which was nice and appreciated. While waiting for our drinks to come before food we observed several around us sending back their food constantly. The table next to us had burnt waffles in which I know the hostess saw that they were and she should have addressed that before brining out to the table. We finally received our drinks and tasted nothing like a margarita. It was suppose to be watermelon. It's kinda hard to mess up a margarita I thought but perhaps it was cheap liquor? I'm not sure but it was definitely a no go. Finally received our food I ordered the stacker w/bacon, egg on the side scrambled with cheese in them. The picture on the menu has fruit on top of this sandwich and when asked our hostess if this was French toast she stated yes w/fruit. We it arrived with some white thick sauce (looked like white gravy) on it and regular toast. The egg was not scrambled had no cheese. My friends had the fish and fries. The toast came out with in seconds behind it. The young man that delivered the food I'm sure if he was training or the cook. This presentation was horrible and a compete NO. We told the waitress than you but it was unacceptable and had left. They definitely have work to do. This much be a brunch place poplar amongst the younger adults and they at okay, with that because they must have a dj at times of something. Music playing was nice and not overly loud good selection there is about all I can say. The menu does not reflect what you get, online does not reflect this venue.THUMBS DOWN

I came with a party of 9 and made a reservation a few hours before. We arrived before 8 pm, which was before the DJ started playing. Although we were seated in the front, the music wasn't too loud once the DJ started playing. He had a nice mix of 2000s R&B, local artists, and some of today's hits. People occasionally line danced, which created a nice vibe. The food, marketed as tapas, was in pretty large portions that seemed to be better suited as individual meals. Everyone in my party who ordered food thoroughly enjoyed their orders, which included shrimp with Gouda grits, cornbread, macaroni & cheese, truffle fries, and chicken and waffles. Everyone also loved their cocktails. I had the Southside Shawty (vanilla vodka, elderflower liqueur, pineapple, sugar), which was perfectly balanced and not too sweet. Our server seemed a bit unenthused, and her attitude was a bit of a damper, but all in all, we enjoyed our experience and I recommend this establishment.

There's indoor lounge/seating spaces with bar seating all along the bar to the right. There's a full outdoor seating area with a walk up bar. The night we were there there was a dj as well. Loved how open it felt even with a lot of people there was plenty of room to relax outside. We ordered a tequila sunrise and a whisky coke. I think there weren't enough staff available as the outdoor walk up bar was completely backed up and there only seemed to be one waitress trying to help everyone seated outside so it took about 15 minutes for us to order our items and just as long to be served. In addition we ordered the ribs and a side order of fries. Although a long wait the food and drinks were good. We ended up sharing our table with other people and had a good time vibing to the music. Unfortunately the wait was extremely long we decided to go elsewhere instead of ordering more drinks and the people at our tables canceled their orders and left as they had been waiting over 30 minutes and still hadn't received their drinks. When our waitress finally came back around and we got our check I noticed an $11 charge for truffle fries. I asked her why regular fries were $11 and they were not truffle she said that's just the way it rang up and she couldn't change it. This is where I'm extremely disappointed. It's not her fault if what she said is true and because she was slammed (no fault of her own) I just paid the bill. Never in the history of my travels and eating out have I ever paid $11 for a plain ol side basket of fries. Thats insanity. I would've rather actually received truffle fries if that were the case. Based on the extremely long wait due to poor staffing which resulted in an extreme lack of service, and pricing issues I don't think I'll be back. If I do I think I'll order a drink directly at the bar and if there's no seating indoors go elsewhere.

My friends loved the slinger. And cheesy grits were very tasty too. One of nice things about the breakfast here is all the options for toast and sides. But you have to make sure you specify which side you want or they choose for you. Good experience overall but not sure I would rush back there. Breakfast is a pretty easy meal to find. IMO. :-)

A wonderful evening can be left with bad feelings if you have a surly, rude wait staff, and Karyn was all that. We arrived early, ordered all at one time with no special requests. Review: March 11th, 2026…read more I was on a mission to find a music event to attend to ON the NIGHT of my birthday which was March 11th. I came across Blue Strawberry during my search and decided to book. I didn't care if I would have to attend solo being that it was midweek and I didn't confirm with my friends. The Venue: I had a hard time locating the building, especially since it was night and I've never been there. Parking is on the street. I parked a block or two away and walked. Once I found the building, I tried to open the door, well it didn't open. That's when I realized that it was closed. I was like, I know they didn't lock the door after the event started. I then saw a buzzer so I decided to press it, hoping that it wouldn't interrupt, but alert the staff...After a minute or so, I noticed a paper sign stating to "use other door"...but which? The door adjacent it was for another business. I then locate the correct one around the side. Wallah! Once inside: the hostess checked me in. Her tablet decided to lock and she had to ask an older guy for the password (seem as though he might have been the owner or manager, he didn't look very pleasant nor welcoming). Anyways on to my seat to enjoy the show which already had started. The venue is very small, with low lighting in the audience and lighting focused on the proformers. Black tablets with seatings for two or four were throughout with one table for larger group. I suppose they can rearrange to accommodate.I was offered to sit anywhere as this event was very low turned out. The Attendees: The event attendees were mostly LGBTQIA folks, maybe due to the area or maybe the entertainer followers, either way I didn't care. I was out for a good time & I love, love regardless. Requirements: Venue has a minimum of $15 spending per person. I noticed most attendees opted for a drink. The larger party ordered food. I decided to skip on the food. I had the St Louis Swing to sip on. It was perfect. Larger than I expected! Overall: Great for small intimate events, especially locals or non "mainstream." Great views regarless of seating, and inexpensive! Honestly, I am not sure If I'll visit again although I enjoyed the event, nothing really stood out about the place or it's hospitality.
