I had service preformed at the Randy Wise Chrysler dealership in Clio Michigan under a lifetime…read morewarranty claim. The service work was done. However the warranty company wanted to charge me another deductible for the repair. The repair was part of a repair that was correlated with a repair that was thought to have been completed but after leaving the dealership it was discovered that the issue still needed further work. The dealership said the warranty company would not agree to not charge me another deductible (100 dollars). Albeit the repair was part of the initial repair. I paid the additional amount. Then spoke to the dealerships new General Manager, Liam Touhy, after explaining my concern about paying another deductible for the repair that should have been considered as part of the initial work Liam had my payment refunded. My Cousin while visiting from Florida went here for an oil change two days ago and the service tech…read morelooked over the front end and tried to advise her to replace her struts! Said they were leaking and he could repair them for around $1000. She declined and told him no, that she would have her husband take care of it. After she left she drove approximately 15 miles and noticed the abs light wouldn't go away on her dashboard. I called PRO-TECH for her and asked them if perhaps they disconnected a wire or something while doing the oil change they said no, shouldn't have needed to do that. Recommended to bring vehicle back in the morning. After finding a CARite dealership nearby from which she bought the truck in Florida she decided to take it there the next morning for a second opinion as it was under warranty. They then inspected the vehicle and said the calipers were loose and rattling probably causing the abs light issue so they then tightened them back up. The vehicle had just had the brakes checked and repaired just two months earlier before coming to MI at a CARite dealership in Florida. They also inspected the struts and said they should be fine to drive back to Florida and didn't require replacement! The following day after driving approximately another 80 miles something came loose and was dragging under the vehicle causing her to pull off to the side of the state highway. Looking under the vehicle she found a bracket of some sort hanging down and dragging the road. She then contacted her dealer again and had to have the vehicle towed to them for repairs again. They said the bracket would have had to be removed to do the oil filter replacement and must not have been properly fastened back after the filter replacement. They then generously replaced the missing fasteners and did not charge her for anything. Thank you CARite! Shame on you PRO-TECH!! It appears there are still bandits lurking around trying to make a dis-Honest living!

He's a man's man and usually fixes things himself, but time and time again he has taken our families vehicles to Rolisons for repair, new tires, and alignments. In fact I have several other family member who do the same! We have continually received wonderful customer care and timely/accurate repairs and services. My tires were wonderful in the winter, just like they promised, and my old car drove great after my alignment just to name a few of those services! They have always been honest with us (and I hear them with other customers while waiting) on what could/should be repaired and what can/cannot wait to be repaired due to safety reasons. They never try to sell you things you don't need and are very informative about what they're doing to your car and why (even though I don't understand half of it, it's nice!) I would recommend them to anyone in need of work on their car or even just looking to get some new tires or accessories! It's great to be able to support a family run business with employees who have been there for years that you can trust vs the big corporations where you don't know who is doing the work :)

I gave one star only because I had too. Problem I had with my truck is that it would run rough when…read moreit rained. Bob put it on the computer and said I needed 8 plugs and 3 coils. So I paid him $500 to replace 8 plugs and 3 coils. Went to pick it up and Bob says it still has a slight miss but you wont notice it unless you're looking for it. I went and started the truck and it misfired so bad it shakes the engine. (this is the "slight miss you wont notice"). I went back into the shop and told him its running as bad as when I brought it in. He recommended I take it to the dealer to find out what the problem is. He said "it could be an injector or the catalytic converter , I don't know because we cant read live data here"........CANT READ LIVE DATA???????? Well then how do you know I needed 8 plugs and 3 coils if you cant read live data?????? I now feel I was taken advantage of and ripped off by this man because I'm handicapped. After all I now have to take it somewheres where the mechanic can actually read the data and pay more money to have the initial problem fixed that Bob was not able to fix. So I guess if your Bob's friend you write a 5 star review for doing nothing (which is what most of the reviews are about) or because "he gives back to the community" or you need a tire fixed or replaced but if you're in need of engine repair GO SOMEPLACE ELSE! Remember this is a mechanic that "CANT READ LIVE DATA" so he will have absolutely no idea whats wrong with your vehicle and only rip you off like he did me guessing at what he thinks might be the problem. UPDATE: So I went to a place that put my truck on the computer. This mechanic was able to read the live data. Results... ERROR CODE P0316 Misfire detected on start up. ERROR CODE P0302 Cylinder #2 misfire detected. So apparently when I left Bob kerns auto repair, cylinder 2 was misfiring. Bob completely blew off this slight misfire claiming he had no idea why it was missing. Turns out the coil on #2 cylinder was bad. The second mechanic replaced the coil in less then 10 minutes and the truck runs as it should now. So Bob how did you notice the other 3 coils were bad but not the coil on #2 cylinder???? Were the other 3 coils actually bad??? I also found out that Bob marked up the price of each coil $22 which is almost double the cost. This only proves it. YOU'RE A RIP OFF!
