I had a great experience working with Jasmin (to coordinate) + Daniel (our photographer)! I had planned a somewhat last minute elopement during the week between Christmas and NYE and was worried I'd have a hard time finding a quality photographer who was available during that time. However, when I reached out to Jasmin, she was super accommodating with our timeline and helpful in suggesting locations where we could shoot. Jasmin was extremely responsive to all of my messages, and such a pleasure to work with. Our photographer on the day of, Daniel, was wonderful too! We loved how the photos turned out! He was fun to work with, and got a lot of great shots in with just an hour of shooting. I would definitely recommend working with Monocle Project! read more

I am sorry to say that I had a very bad experience with the quality of pictures that were delivered to me. I hired Monocle Project to take pics of a home for real estate purposes. For reference, the owners do not live locally - they hire freelance photographers in your assigned area to do their photography projects. In retrospect, this was my mistake because it's best to give your business to local merchants in case there is a problem. Unfortunately, they sent a very young and inexperienced photographer to take pics of the home. All pictures were super overexposed or super underexposed. TERRIBLE quality! Pictures were completely unusable and had to resort to another company to do the job. The cost of this mistake was over $1,500 - DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

Jasmin and Ryan are like the A-Team for photography. We used the Monocle Project for our 5 year wedding anniversary photo session in the Palm Desert. Since day one, Jasmin provided prompt and detailed communication. Their online gallery is helpful to check out their work and view the different landscapes in which they've provided photography. Due to weather, we had to change our location the day of our photo session, however, both Ryan and Jasmin helped us select an alternative keeping in mind the type of desert landscape we were seeking. And what can I say about our Photographer, Ryan? He has such an eye for taking photos, he totally guided us with poses, and made our session fun/memorable. We received our pictures in a timely manner and digitally (loved the fact that we can just click and download). Overall, great experience with the Monocle Project, we loved ALL our pictures and would highly recommend them. read more

My family and I had a great experience from start to finish with Trevor, owner of Monocle Photography. I reached out to him last minute because my son would be in town for Christmas but only during a curtain window of time. Everything from the first message, to the relaxed, fun photo shoot to the delivery of our gorgeous products. First class service and his patience with my new puppies and my silly teenager were impressive! I couldn't be happier with my Christmas present to myself!! read more

Recently we were planning our 45th wedding anniversary with our children, grandchildren, and wanting a photographer that would meet our needs. Fortunately, for us we found on google search Jasmine at Monocle Project, who responded immediately. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and quick to respond to all my questions. Jasmine and her husband Ryan sent a wonderful photographer to our location and took some fabulous photos of our family and she was so much fun to work with. Our proofs arrived by email and our photos were amazing. Based on our experiences, we highly recommend the Monocle Project and will use them again for our photography needs. JANDERSON read more

I would definitely recommend the Monocle Project to anyone. Things I really appreciated: -Jasmin's help scheduling and booking the session (and sticking with me even when I dropped off communication for a bit while planning, even though she was great and so professional the whole time). -Super easy and straight forward contract signing and payment options. -Willingness to meet us in Joshua Tree (even with the shutdown). Met on time at the entrance and even brought walkie talkies so we could communicate once the cell service gave out. -Ryan's (photographer) demeanor and personality was so fun -- and kind of pulled us out of our shells throughout the photo session. We all loved him! -The photos are beautiful. Really awesome quality -- and delivered within the time range promised. Everyone in my family loves them. -Complete access to our prints to download and use as we see fit -- or order through them. Thanks to Monocle Project for helping us get some updated family photos. I love them! I gave the photo as a session to my parents for Christmas and it was such a hit. Really recommend this idea to anyone. read more

I found Monocle Project through a Google search--they must have great SEO!--and I'm really glad I did. My family and I wanted to do a quick photoshoot in Palm Springs at the last minute and MP was happy to oblige. I've done 13 CDs, a cookbook, two DVDs, countless concerts, thousands of food photos, and have worked with dozens of photographers. My experience with Monocle Project was the best of the bunch. They were so responsive, supportive, understanding, expeditious, but most important, the photos were beautiful. The attention to detail was impressive. They noticed one of the buttons on my shirt was undone. I needed a magnifying glass to see it after they brought it to my attention. They did an editing job on the collar of my shirt that was a minor detail, but made a major difference. They are artists, and really care about their art. And I loved the process, the website is amazing. The ability to look through all the proofs and select favorites was very cool. Start to finish, I give Monocle Project 5 stars. Will use them again for sure. I highly recommend them. They are so professional, and so creative. Loved the whole experience. read more

Ryan of the Monocle Project carries the best possible combination of things you want in a family photographer: someone who seamlessly pulls together all the best elements of a scene (your kids' personalities; the backgrounds; the lighting) all while making everyone feel completely at ease. He's a natural with kids and captured the most gorgeous expressions in our family - the same ones I see and cherish from my own perspective when we're all together. Our photos have a dreamy quality to them that capture how I feel about our best moments together in our new home. Past photo sessions with other photographers have felt frantic, strained, rushed, and fussy; this experience with the Monocle Project, by contrast, was a positive and relaxing one, and the photos prove it. Wonderful team - very responsive, friendly, and incredibly talented. read more

My family and I had a great experience with Monocle Project for our family photos, from the beginning (the seamless booking, quick turnaround on a few questions) to the end (a plethora of incredible photos that we'll cherish for a lifetime). I often work with photographers, as I love capturing the precious ages of our children, and this experience was as good as they come - professional, organized, quick turnaround on the gallery, talented photographer, accommodating, and reasonable pricing. I worked with Jasmin while booking, and I swear there were times where she answered my emails within seconds! It's just nice to know that when booking a service like this you're working with someone who truly cares and doesn't get frustrated with questions. Oh! The photos - - a dream. We had ours done at Joshua Tree, which I'd highly recommend if you're in Palm Springs looking for a desert during sunset. Thank you so much! read more

From my very first email with Jasmin I knew this was the right photographer for us. Jasmin made us feel so comfortable and gave us the space to be silly, kiss our hearts out and laugh until our cheeks hurt. I received the pictures back in two weeks and they are beyond what I could have ever imagined. Jasmin captured our love, personalities and excitement for being together and I honestly can't stop looking at the pictures, showing them to friends and now working on putting together a wedding album! I am forever grateful that I found the Monocle Project, we now have pictures of our love that will last forever! read more

Ryan and Jasmin from Monocle Project are an absolute pleasure to work with. Their enthusiasm is highly infectious, and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. They love what they do, and it shows! They went over and above for us, and shot well outside their scope because they are all about getting you the best result they can produce - whatever that takes! The fact they are husband and wife shows, as their synergy when working together is breathtaking to behold. They also know exactly what it takes to get a great shot, expertly able to clearly and quickly direct their subject and turn them into supermodels! Their post production work is second to none too, being able to give their work that "magazine" look that turns photos into something really special with results that will "wow" everyone who sees them. read more

I never write reviews but wanted to be sure to give props when due! Monocle Project is WONDERFUL! It was a privilege to work with Jasmin + Ryan for portraits taken during a special family vacation for my mother's 70th birthday. Jasmin handled all the logistics and administration like the professional she is and Ryan made us feel at ease being the center of attention, even though we were all a bit camera shy. The photos came out beautifully and the editing process was a quick turn around. I love showing off these amazing family photos to fellow friends and family! This review is long overdue as we were married almost 6 months ago. Monocle Project was the best team we could have asked for. Ryan and Jasmin made us each feel comfortable from the moment they arrived at our hotel in Palm Springs. We eloped in the desert and by the end of the ceremony we shared a toast with them and it felt like they were our special guests! Beyond the experience, the photos are gorgeous. When people look at our digital album they are blown away. As the bride I couldn't believe how beautiful I looked. The compositions are really unique, modern and just COOL! Thank you Monocle Project--your skills at shooting and editing are beyond talented--you are truly artists and you really made our day! read more

I found the Monocle Project through Yelp and had a great experience! The scheduling process was hassle free and Jasmin gave us many options for the photo shoot location. I told her we wanted a desert setting and she recommended an ideal location. We met Ryan around sunset  and took photos in different areas which gave us a variety of backgrounds. The scenery was beautiful in person but turned out magical in the finished photos. Ryan has a great eye for textures and colors. I could not be happier with the results. We have spectacular photos of our family that I will be able to cherish for years to come. read more

Ryan did a great job managing 11 people (over 3 generations, and including a few hard to focus toddlers) for a series of family photos over the winter holidays! He accommodated our time and location constraints, was entertaining and quick enough to get the smiles when the photo members were sometimes in motion or with fleeting smiles, and made sure we all got a few shots of each family group and then some. He and Jasmin were easy to work with, and we appreciated the good composition of the photos and ability to download and use the entire group of over 300 shots (from an hour photo shoot). Thanks for making our family memories a painless event, Ryan! read more

Jasmin and Ryan of Monocle Projects could very well be the coolest, nicest, sweetest, most hardworking talented photographer duo in all of Southern California. They have a very easy-going style which makes all the difference when having one's photo taken. They have creative, joyful ideas for shoots and are beyond experts when it comes to lighting (super important!). It becomes very easy to trust their guidance during session - as a subject, you actually end up wanting to make them happy which is rare but awesome to experience. They're also exceptional at meeting deadlines. Don't let their age fool you, they are consummate professionals who treat their clients with enthusiasm, kindness all while delivering top service. ANYONE who needs a picture for ANYTHING whatsoever should call them! I hear they are awesome for weddings / wedding parties - not at all surprising - but casual portraits could also be their strong suit. You will really love your pictures - I am super critical and don't consider myself photogenic and still they managed to take beautiful images ;) I much look forward to working with them again. read more
