Older less favorable reviews are likely speaking to their experience prior to the current ownership. There are plenty of tables and chairs in view of the play structures so you can keep eyes on your kiddos. while they do allow outside food & beverage they have a snack bar they as well as offer an ordering kiosk for a few of the food carts in the pod that shares the parking lot. The place is now under new management and thank goodness!!! Prices are down to $15 a child and after taking 4 kids and expecting to pay $120 I was ECSTATIC to see my total was only $60. Not only that but now there isn't an extra price for the green structure, kids are able to go back and forth with no question. If you avoided going after spending an arm and a leg, go back! For the four kids I only spent the initial fee then $14 for 4 big ice cream/waffle cones. Kids had a blast! Can't wait for the food truck pod to open up as well on property. At first glance, $25 seems pricey. However, this place is always very clean. I've brought my 3-year-old here at least 10 times over the past few months, and zero issues. The men's bathroom even has a short toilet for the kids, which is quite rare. Friendly staff, and my kid is easily entertained for 3 hours. Food is decent, and the beer selection is decent as well. I brought my stepson here as an awesome activity to burn some energy in a warm dry place. $15 per kid for entry (all day play!) and can't forget to mention their Cajun fry's! (So good!). We just went here for a birthday party for a 6 year old. My son (5.5) had a great time climbing around. Its definitely geared toward 4+. My 3 year old wouldn't have been able to navigate it well on his own. There's also no way I'd pay $20 per kid, so I don't think we'll be coming here unless it's for a birthday party, which is a shame because we live very close. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of a changing table! This is supposed to be a family establishment, so this oversight was very surprising to me. My 3 month old got changed on one of their benches. Edit after speaking with my friend who hosted the birthday party: Apparently the cost of the party room (around $300) doesn't include the kids playing in the play structure... They were charged another ~$300 for the kids to play. Why would you book a room here if you didn't intend for the kids to play? I feel like the price should be all-inclusive. This place is an absolute RIP OFF. they say its $20 for the whole day but that's only for one play structure, the same thing they have at the macdonalds 5 mins up the street for free. but there's another play structure right next to it that kids want to go on, it;'s meant to be a laser tag space but they don't turn it on. So its $30 per child and they are bored in and hour or so. Also they require you to wear socks on a hard concrete floor with no mats, I've seen 4 kids slam on the floor and I've been here for 30 minutes and they make you sign an injury waiver. I Tried to buy a beer at the counter (which were displayed) and they informed me they have no alcohol license even though they have beer in the refrigerator and signs about carding anyone under 26, not sure if they lost their license? I'd have to agree with the negative stars people. First, you pay $20 for each kid to go in, they quickly tire of the climbing structure and all other arcade games cost extra money. The electronic play area is extra money and the kids have to be 7+ to go in. that would leave us with one sad child, so we couldn't let the older 2 do that. We went here recently with a 5.5 year old and a 3.3 year old (girl, boy). It does cost $20 each for the "red" structure. If you go green it's $30. I believe there is an age restriction on the green side. We had a good time. It was a Wednesday so it wasn't crowded. The place was very clean and the staff person friendly. I know this may be expensive for some, but the kids enjoyed climbing around and exploring. We were there for @95 minutes and felt like we got our money's worth. All the pictures from the website are accurate. Yes there are two play areas one of which is a tag game where the kids have to kit as many targets with their bracelets. I can see why they charge extra. Their menu is not on their website and that would have been helpful as we are gluten free and were unaware if they had anything my kids could eat. They did have a couple of options available. I would rather go to Playdate PDX even though it is farther. They have better food, more gluten free options and their play area is larger and all of it is included. Still a great option, though. read more

They've got some cool play structures, however their pricing is much higher than I would have anticipated. We won't be back. My husband went up for a fountain soda pop that he paid $5 for. When he came back and told me I was a speechless. They've got 2 structures, one has laser tag style BUT you only get admittance to the one ($20 per child) then if you want to play in the other it's an additional $20! I totally get charging an additional $5 maybe but $20? I felt completely overcharged and just taken advantage of when we left. Went in for research - we tried Liggle Land and he had a great time, got our little guy bullied badly persistently by some unattended offspring in OceanPlays, and we still will stick our toes into the Hillsboro "Outdoors In" at some point just for the sake of trying. We go to all kinds of parks but I have to get us some established go-tos when the weather just isn't safe to be climbing/jumping/running around like a crazy person, and that's what this is great for. Monkey King is exemplary - the structure is this huge labyrinth, everything is set up *just so* in terms of being navigable safely. Next fall when the rainy season starts up, I personally am probably ready to plunk down money for a 96-visit pass which brings it down to something like 8 dollars and make a solid go of it because my guy has to be outside or getting activity 90 min or he's a mess all night, so I was pretty focused on looking for problems in here and I can't find one. If you come on the weekend, yes its 20 dollars, but it's 2022 and its hard to keep a good place nice. We all know the feeling of the 90s places for kids that kind of went bad over time - that "decaying Chuck E Cheese" feeling, it won't be a thing here. I am a cheap cheap man, but sick kids are even MORE expensive, and 20 bucks at peak time makes sense, because everything looked well washed and taken care of. If they made it cheaper the only way they could keep overhead down is bugging me trying to sell me other stuff, so I'm good on this (see above about purchasing a multi-pass https://www.clover.com/online-ordering/monkey-king-palace about keeping $ down). Owner (I think he's the owner) could see i was definitely kind of nervous but trying to give the little one some independence (my kid being 6 mos y/o at the start of pandemic times left him DESPERATE for humans but in a region place where "the Seattle freeze" is a norm ). If you're like me, you've got a spirited toddler/pre-schooler and you need options in addition to throwing on rain gear and having puddle time when all the playgrounds are a bit more unsafe to navigate, this place checks all the boxes. read more

If I could give this place a negative star I would. This is based on booking a party here. We booked a last minute birthday rental for my son. The gentleman gave us pricing over the phone that we were comfortable with. We did give a deposit. When we got there, he changed the price per kid because he said he thought I was calling for a different location (why is the price different based on location we are still in Oregon) and from then on started up charging and changing prices for everything. I was super frustrated about this and felt like he was totally taking advantage of our situation. There were only 3 ppl working in the whole establishment. It was a disaster and our $280 bill turned out to be $400 bill for just rental of space and a pizza for 7 kids (1 slice per kid and a 2 pitchers of water that's it. He charged me $2 extra per slice for pepperoni pizza. When over the phone he said pizza was included and drinks. That's where the catch was, he didn't specify what drinks or pizza. It was our fault for last minute booking and accepting this kind of agreement, but shame on them for taking advantage . I understand it's hard to find employees these days, but don't take advantage of people. We will not be coming here again. The entry fee is pretty high for what you get. read more

Then, the employee that was there alone was not properly trained and couldn't make half of the items on their menu. She only knew how to make kid items. We will never go there again. If an adult had not been with my son to catch him mid-fall, he would have serious injuries from a huge hole in the netting on the second story (which was duct taped but broke apart). Twenty dollars per child is too steep. Other similar places charge less and have larger structures. Can't bring your own food and they were out of food items from their menu both times we've been here. They are extremely understaffed in the kitchen, in fact I've been asked to wait to order food since they were so far behind. The staff tries really hard but they just need more people. However, my six year old daughter loves it here and we get about two hours out of it before she's ready to go home. With free wifi and adult drinks, it was a chill couple of hours. You pay for your room which is just a room but nothing, oh forgot to say that two small pizzas and some fries will be included generously; and you pay for kids' admission into one common area and you pay an additional fee to access the other structure area. I ordered some drinks for the parents to make the party like a party and ended up paying $750+ which my wife was speechless too. oh, by the way, they will not remind you about the ice cream, because that will give them a higher profit. I went in to inquire about space rental for a birthday party and after wandering around for 5 minutes looking for an employee, a guy who I assume was the owner finally came out to greet me. I couldn't even get my first question out before 1 of the 3 phones in his hands started ringing and he picked it up and started chatting with the customer on the other line. Sounded like he kept cutting them off as he kept repeating "check the website" over and over again. Finally he hung up the phone and I asked if they allowed for private space rentals. He started laughing and said that they do not and asked why I was worried about covid when he was the one wearing a mask when I was not. First of all, even if that was my reasoning, why does that matter? Secondly, the reason why I ask is because I'd rather let my little one play freely in a private space without being constantly worried about it being open to the public and having older kids not watch where they are going. In the end, I understand that he is free to run his business as he sees fit, but the extreme lack of customer service was frightening for a place meant for families. read more

They followed COVID safety guidelines with temperature checks, masks requirements and hand sanitizer. The place was clean too so worth the entrance fee compared to other places we have been to. Do NOT come! This place has potential but the owners are awful! They have a couple of 16 y/o's working without even the slightest bit of training. One owner was constantly rude to the customers, kept shoving the employees so that he could do their job (only in order to be extremely nasty to customers), food and drinks never came. You can't bring in gifts for a party unless you reserve a room for $250 and then the owner was nasty to us for bringing too many guests. Mind you, each kid is $20 just to play and we only ordered a pitcher of Sierra Mist (on the menu but they don't carry) and a yakisoba bowl. Took my 9 and 4 year old to play for few hours, they loved it. Awesome and friendly staff. The premise is very clean and well kept. Clean restroom. Very Covid safe with great air flow. The ceiling fans and air flow system looks new. Also well lit, easy to keep track of kids at all times. I was genuinely hesitant to post a review because my kiddo really does enjoy coming here. I've sat on this for over a week now and I'm still just so upset. We booked her 5th birthday party here on 4/8 - paid the $289 deposit for a party on 4/28. On Friday, 4/26 we decided to go in and ask if we can see the party room, talk about how it works, ordering food and drinks, etc. I even asked specifically if there's anything we need to do or know before we show up and was told nope. Everything was fine and then we showed up on Sunday about a half hour prior to the party, we gave ourselves an extra 15 minutes to order food and drinks for the rest of the guests as they told us the kids would have food ready when the party started. We showed up and they could not find the reservation, we were not allowed in the building until the hostess was given permission by the owner. We even asked to be let in just to order food and were told no. We even had our billing and email confirmation from them and they did not care. By the time we were even allowed inside, it was time for the party to start. We had no food ready, guests had to help us get the decorations up, we had to set up our own chairs and tables, we had no drinks, nothing. They were only staffed with 2 people and basically told us we were SOL and would just have to be patient for our food. Really lovely. By the time everyone arrived we still waited 45 minutes or so before the first pizza even became ready. The owner eventually showed up, did not offer to comp us anything to make up for the time we missed out on, did not offer a pizza, an apology, sodas, or anything at all. Including the deposit, with extra food and drinks and the kids, we spent about $700 here and a few of my guests spent even more money on top of that. We will not be booking any parties here ever again. And the fact that you cannot get a hold of anyone when you call by phone is really the cherry on top. Went with my cousin for her sons birthday. We went to just let the kids play and then we were going to have a birthday party at a house after. The owner was so rude to my cousin who is 8 months pregnant when someone brought in a gift (as they didn't know you couldn't bring gifts in unless you paid for a party room) He came stomping over saying you don't have a party they can't bring that in or you pay $250. They ordered food and after 1.5 hours of waiting, the kids were ready to go. My cousin went to go ask for a refund (since we never got the food and we were needing to leave) and the manager berated her telling her he didn't want to help her anyway as she brought too many people. WTH? Too many people? To a place where we came to spend money at your business!!! What a joke! oh and on top of that the manager berated his employees in front of everyone, the ENTIRE time we were there. Customers were apologizing to the employees (mere teenagers) as we ALL felt bad for them. They were doing nothing wrong and were so nice! On top of all of this I witnessed the manger yell at the employee to use the 20oz soda bottles to fill pitchers of soda for peope. The kid then opened up 2, 20oz sodas and poured them into the pitcher. It had all customers laughing at how ridiculous it was. Everyone was taken-a-back. I do NOT recommend this place. We had heard of this new place from a mom friend. We were there as soon as they opened on a Sunday morning (11am). There is nothing regarding pricing on their website which I thought was a bit odd. Well, when she told me it was $20 a child I understood. I told the gal at the front, "oh wow that's a lot. I didn't realize, thank you anyways." Of course my four year old twins were excited to go and were pretty upset. She chimed in with the fact that the price was good for the entire day. I gave in, paid the $40 and we went in. It was fun, felt pretty clean. Apparently you have to pay more to access the "tag arena" which we didn't know. But the real kicker was when I wanted to go home for nap and come back I saw the signs at the exit that said "no remittance." So "all day" was a total bust.
