Our friends told us to make sure that we stopped by the Monkey Bar when we traveled here on our cruise ship. They were absolutely correct: huge and delicious margaritas. I only had one but followed with a Pacifico. The bar tenders are great and they have great music [country of course] and lots of great people to talk to. We really enjoyed sitting here talking to people from all over the US and the bar tenders were great to talk to as well. They have bathrooms and are close to everything you need from tours, to shopping to great food.
My fiance and I have been coming to Cabo for a couple years now. During our first trip, we stumbled across a tiny bar tucked away in a flea market near the marina. Normally we wouldn't probably have stopped, but the drinks looked amazing. That's where we had the pleasure of meeting Fernando, the best bartender in Cabo. So, as you can imagine we were super surprised to walk by Monkey Bar and find Fernando on this trip. We had to stop in and have one of his epic margaritas, which still lived up to the memory. This is a blink and miss it kind of bar, but don't pass it up!
Love, love, love this place!!!!! My husband and I came here five years ago and fell in love. In Cabo again and we walked around for two days looking for it. Couldn't remember the name or the location. Eureka, we found it! Best margaritas and as a bonus you can buy the hand made margarita glasses! Best margaritas! Very fresh :) LOVE the rock n roll they play!!
First off, if you're a curmudgeon and allergic to people being chatty then this isn't your place. It's a local joint that's clean but isn't going to be Alexanders. They make great margaritas and have several beer options. If you can sit at the bar, that's the best spot because you can interact with everyone pretty easily. The music is a good mix where you'll hear Bon Jovi then Nelly. The bartenders are on point and attentive and the people in general are all here to just chat and have fun. If you want a good margarita or a cold Dos XX then I would recommend this place. My husband and I were going to grab a quick drink and then bolt to our next place but ended up staying for like and hour and a half which for us isn't easy because we tend to get bored.
I loved this bar. I believe they have the best Marguerita Ihave ever had (and I've had a few :) It's nothing fancy but so enjoyable. We even got joined at the bar by a Monkey! If you love Margueritas - go!
I enjoyed my vacation visit to this small, laid back, open air, reasonably priced bar. The $9 mango margarita was huge, with great presentation and a wonderful taste, while the service was friendly and accommodating. I noticed a small bar and several tables. It had a great location in the marina district near several other bars. Be alert, because it's easy to miss as you are walking down the street.

Yooooooo I don't know why this place is rated so high. Yes the drink were cheap and large, but they weren't good. I couldn't taste the alcohol at all. The servers were nice enough but this place wasn't impressive at all. A few tables in front of an alley of shops. This will be my first and last time here. read more
An open air bar in the divey downtown cabo area known for HUGE frozen drinks. I tried a pina colada one day and another one with chocolate and banana another day - seriously these drinks could be meals...I kinda wish they had a kids menu with smaller portions (but still alcohol) - Is that politically incorrect?? The bartenders are so happy to make your drink and make making your drink a little show!. Husband loved this place so much he bought a t-shirt! read more

When you're on a mission for some of the tastiest margaritas at the southernmost part of Baja California Mexico, look no further because "Monkey Business Bar" will have you covered. Also known as "Monkey's Cave Bar", this place has been serving thousands of locals and tourists dating back to 2015. It was also highly recommended to me from a local tour guide that was gracious enough to show me the best taco spot, "El Paisa" and this place that supposedly serves the best margaritas in town right down the street from there. Located directly on Blvd. Paseo de la Marina and in the epicenter of the heavily tourist areas of Cabo San Lucas, Monkey Business primarily gets most of its visitors from cruise ships that dock relatively close to here. Since I was one of those cruise passengers that enjoyed my time in Cabo from 1:00-6:00pm, I had more than enough time to check this place out. I arrived roughly at around 3:00pm during the afternoon of Sunday 4/24/2022. What makes this place unique is that its located smack dab in the middle of souvenir shops as well as many other bars and restaurants. Since I was quite buzzed off a few Modelo beers as well as tequila tasting, I might as well go all out and give their margaritas a try. I ended up going with a "Classic Margarita" on the rocks with no salt which was $140 Mexican Pesos = $7 US dollars while our friend got a "Mango Margarita" blended which came to $180 Mexican Pesos = $9 US dollars. Not bad considering that these things were huge while these prices in the United States go for at least a few dollars more. After receiving my margarita, I was wowed with how huge this thing was. And I will say this.. if you haven't tried the tequila in Mexico, I highly recommend it because it goes down as smooth as silk. I gulped down every last sip of this while getting even more of a buzz to fulfill my Sunday funday and Cabo San Lucas experience. To those that have more time to visit a place like this, they are open 10am-12am seven days a week. The bar area is relatively small and quaint but there are several tables to enjoy your margarita. All in all, "Monkey Business Bar" is the real deal. With well over a dozen unique types of margaritas as well as a few mojitos, this place has you covered. Great service, amazing colorful atmosphere, good vibes, low prices, and strong drinks that will please many people. My rating, a unanimous five stars! read more

This was one of the first bars my sister and I stumbled upon while shopping on our very first trip to Cabo and haven't had a better margarita anywhere else in Cabo since! It was slow the day we went so we had fast service and sat at the bar, chatting with the friendly bartenders, a few guests that were sitting at the bar And watched the music videos they were playing above the bar. my friends and i were passing by when these GIANT margaritas caught our eye with an assortment of colors and large portions, we could not say no and instantly walked in! the bar had a casual, outdoor vibe and had kind servers who were able to explain the menu items and give recommendations! there was also live music being set up but we were a bit too early to actually hear them play! note: for non-drinkers, they also had the option to make all their margaritas virgin to make a refreshing slushie instead -- -- -- pictured: " fresa + mango margarita () ($180 pesos) // we asked for it blended and it was perfectly sweet and super refreshing! the strawberry and mango flavors also worked well with each other! " mango + piña margarita () ($180 pesos) // tried my friend's drink and this straight tasted like no alcsweeter than the strawberry+mango and almost candy like! still just as refreshing and yummy. -- -- -- if you're looking for yummy margs and good vibes, check this spot out! read more

Chill spot for margaritas. Super small and unassuming. Friendly service from all. Bartenders checked in on us as well which was nice. Not sure if they still offer complimentary popcorn (seen on other Yelpers posts) but none was offered to us, and forgot to ask so probably our bad. My Mexican Monkey drink was not bad but I wasn't a fan of the shaved coconut which was a bit stale tasting/crunchy. The drink had a subtle kick from the jalepenos which added a bit of complexity to the sweetness from the coconut. Overall, solid spot. read more
Only one is needed and Christian made sure it was fuerte! Fresh frutas and great musica to keep the vibe right. Santana and Blue Angels, along with other legends playing on the big screen. CLEAN, even while being an outside location. Banos are to the right and left, separately for damas y caballeros. You WILL need them! Do not blink too hard or walk too fast or you might miss it. I was a bit hesitant about these drinks because they are more expensive than other drinks around Cabo, but they definitely compensate in sheer volume and deliciousness. I got a mango margarita, and I was amazed by the freshness of the mango - no sugar syrup here. I also tried a bit of the monkey business, which tastes like a light chocolate milkshake. I was a little bit sad that they didn't do any cool art on top of our drinks like I've seen - maybe make sure to request that if you are going for aesthetic reasons XD. Unfortunately, it was not a great place to sit with friends at night - there was only a plastic table, and there are some rather weird viagra ads that stare at you as you drink. It'd probably be a nice place to stop by if you're into day drinking. read more

After searching on Yelp this place popped up and of course we tried it. The drinks we received were hand made and not premixed. They were flavorful but lacked that kick. So we both opted for a Hornitos Black Barrel shot to be added to the drinks. The bar is what it is and it's a bar! No frills or thrills just good drinks. So stop monkeying around and try out Monkey Business!! read more
