Great little restaurant in the middle of Timoleague. The dinner was delicious. I had a fabulous lamb tagine. Highly recommend!

Vintage - Told this was the best place in town! I'd agree

I loved my time at the vintage. I was in town from America to see my family in Kanturk. They…read morerecommended the vintage and I couldn't have been more satisfied. I got a pint of Guinness and the roast of the day. The roast was absolutely excellent. I really enjoyed the gravy over the top and the stuffing underneath. The meat was cooked very well. The service was great and made me feel at home on the other side of the pond. I really enjoy when the server walks you through the menu after you ask questions to help you arrive at the right entree, which is exactly what happened. I will be visiting again before I go home and definitely when I come back to the fine town of Kanturk.

I love the stone and lacquered wood finishes inside. This is the kind of place where you see the owner invested and working at his restaurant. I came here with my boyfriend, his brother and sister for lunch and can say that The Vintage did not disappoint! The food here is much nicer than you would expect at a bar and there was proper wait staff which is why I would consider it more of a restaurant than bar or bottle shop. Anyway, we sat down and ordered 2 appetizers, 4 mains, 3 desserts and 2 coffees all for the whopping price of 73€, I nearly fell off my bar stool. Such good value for delicious food and good portion sizes. I shared some of the mushroom soup and brown bread which was so flavorful and creamy but not too heavy. I could eat that brown bread all day but resisted since I had a fillet of fish on the way. My fish was cooked perfectly, not over battered and super moist. Almost everyone at the table ordered the fish which was a crowd pleaser. The table shared sides of veg, potatoes and chips which were all delicious, I'd say my favorite was the broccoli. Despite being smothered in creamy maybe cheesiness, I can still say I ate my greens for the day, right? Whatever they put on it, I could eat those just on its own....ok with a side of that brown bread. I would definitely come back. It's not a fancy Star rated restaurant in looks and feel, but a warm cozy place where you could take the whole family or just enjoy with friends. I felt the food was extremely good value and service was excellent.

We got married in The Rectory in March of this year having set the date for our big last September…read more Although this may be seen as short notice we can safely say that having the knowledgeable and helpful staff (Michelle & Nicola) on hand to advise us made the planning process VERY straightforward. The setting itself is so unique and food on the day was absolutely gorgeous. We opted for the 'Mad Hatters Tea Party' and a selection of canapes on arrival (the chicken satay is to die for!) and then sat down for a mouthwatering five course meal. The day went flawlessly and although the weather was a little bit against us (when isn't it?) it took nothing away from the day whatsoever. We can't recommend The Rectory enough - a huge thank you to all the staff for making our wedding day such a memprable occasion.
