She is…read morevery personable and carefully listened to my concerns, reviewed my imaging, and asked appropriate questions. We proceeded with a PRP injection, which I learned that there was actual homework/prep work for me to do BEFORE the treatment that the hip MD didn't even tell me about! Such things like stopping NSAIDs, drinking, fasting, etc. to help make the PRP injection more successful. I would not have known this if it weren't for Dr. Ferrante. The injection went smoothly and I experienced significant pain relief. I will return to do the other hip now that I know how successful it is. I know PRP injections are expensive, but definitely worth the price (insurance doesn't pay for them thru a MD anyways). She made me feel comfortable (as comfortable as you can- these injections are sore) thru out the procedure, and increased my trust by providing me with a lot of information about what to expect before/during/after, and of course following up. Of note, when I came in for a hip follow up, she noticed I had a wrist brace on, and took initiative to inquire about this new injury and brainstormed a special taping to help offload/support the area (again, something that the orthopedic PA didn't think about) which also provided more stability/less pain for my wrist. She offered another treatment option for it if occupational therapy didn't help. I highly recommend Dr. Ferrante, she takes the time to listen, thinks outside the box, keeps you well-informed, and offers effective solutions to your health concerns.

In Hawaii, we are experiencing a shortage of doctors due to the high cost of living in Hawaii and many various reasons. I've been seeing all sorts of doctors since I was young and Dr. Sara is one of the few that has really helped me to get to the solution of the root cause of my health condition. She takes the time to listen and to communicate with you, not just slapping a bandaid of the superficial problem and giving you a prescription for a drug that has a high chance of giving you other side effects within 15 minutes of your session with them. I can feel that she cares about her patients wholeheartedly. She educates you on how to take care of your entire body and encourages healthy living and wellness (also scientific and research backed). I also like the fact that she utilizes a program where you can contact her anytime that you may need her help and she responds promptly on that. She truly is a gift and godsend to our community and I hope that she'll be able to stay on Oahu as long as possible. If you are ready to take on the challenge and start your healing journey, I would highly recommend you to have your free consultation with Dr. Sara.

As we know, natural path doctors are not only there to treat problem but also they help you prevent illness by helping you to keep healthy. Your body may present certain issues or not, but the holistic health is also important. For many years my platelets are below the norm and regular doctors do not want to address because they don't see "problem" so I should live with it. With Dr Tan's help, I'm slowing raising the platelets and hopefully will to the normal range soon. Since natural path is non-participating providers, we have to pay out of pocket and the price is not cheap. This is just the reality of health care of America- insurance not covered then you pay $$$. For a good doctor and my own health, I think it's worth to pay the price.

The initial consultation appointments with a holistic doctor is pricey. $350 +tax. But I was desperate to find the root of my eczema and health concerns, so I decided to invest in her. The consultation went well and I would say I was happy with our meeting. At the end of the visit, she scheduled 3 appointments for further treatments to help speed up my skin's healing with LED. Upon budgeting my finances, I decided to cancel the LED treatments as I wouldn't be able to afford to be consistent with them 2x a week. I can deal with the external eczema, and just wanted to focus on healing internally to resolve the issue as she has explained is the way to truly heal eczema. Dr. Tan responded to my text passive aggressively, and shut me down completely and to "lmk when you're ready to solve your skin issues. Aloha." I was not looking to quit the path to healing, I simply wanted to just cancel the external treatments as it's not a necessity. She disregarded my questions when I would ask if they were absolutely necessary, and still would not give me an answer. She would just explain what it does. I told her it simply wasn't in my budget, to which she responds "ok. Do whatever your budget allows." She became very short with her answers as I try to understand what is necessary and what's not for my healing process. Things like this makes a patient feel like you're just after their money. A true professional would work with you and tell you what is necessary and possible within your budget. I feel robbed of my time and money invested in that appointment. She's lost a client and I will be looking for a new doctor with a little more professionalism.
