We have rented large properties for the whole family for a month or more and small condos for short trips. Every experience has been perfect for the occasion. One of the best things about working with Historic Hideaways is that there are no hidden fees. When you request a booking, the cleaning fees are already included. Frustrating thing was we were put in an environment that was harmful to my wife and they refused to make any adjustment. We arrived at 4:30 pm. I was unloading the car while my wife took our dog for a walk. She walked about 100 feet and felt a burning in her throat and started coughing. She looked up at a POISON sign which stated the house was being fumigated for termites. (It was wrapped in a tent.) She headed back and wanted to leave. She was coughing for the next hour and then couldn't sleep for fear this would kick off her cancer. We left the following morning despite having the unit for two more nights. We asked for one night's refund ($317 out of $1800) but were told it was completely safe and therefore we would receive nothing. Very disappointing. Ironcially one of their poor Yelp reviews was that the house the people rented had termites and was being fumigated after they checked out. Now we're wondering if the house being fumigated near our rental was one of theirs. Hopefully these people will receive the same non-compassionate treatment from someone else in the future. Apparently they are consistent in providing that level of customer service. Would definitely not recommend.

Yes, it was more of a shop and not an office. Other offices that I visited after had desks and asked people to sit down and discuss their rental that they were looking for. Not here. I asked 2 more questions, BARELY got answers except for "we don't like to do that". So... Hi there.. I am the customer. You work for me.. Therefore, I knew I needed a property management company to handle those unique set of challenges in my absence. I had researched many properties management companies online in the Fort Lauderdale area. I happened to come across Icon Realty Management and Brokerage. After reading the great reviews and my conversation with Ben and finally meeting him at the property. I decided to have them manage my property. Within 2 days of Icon Realty having the property in their listings, it was rented on day 2 (two). Ben, At Icon Realty has truly been professional and responsive thought the whole process. I highly recommend Ben from Icon Management for anyone looking for a Management and Brokerage firm. DM Celebration, FL

I believe that Icon Realty was involved in hacking my bank account. I leased an apartment in the heart of las olas/Fort Lauderdale from December 2016, from Atlantic loft llc. I agreed to pay a 2 month security deposit of $2400 as well as first, last and security (pretty standard) got my key, etcétera. After 2 different companies handling our property, ICON Realty came in January 2020 and revamped property by implementing a ***online payment service ***** aka , a way to get into your bank account. I questioned who this is and why I had to use this system to pay, not only to be replied with "It is our new system and you have to use it, you must pay rent this way or consult your attorney" As I went ahead and used it but decided to not renew my upcoming ending lease of 3/30/20. I emailed, texted and explain that I would not be renewing the lease because not only I don't trust the payment system, I had a very difficult time communicating with Benjamin (who by the way runs the whole thing). He ignored all my calls and the ones he replied, he did very rudely. I promptly moved out on schedule and handed him the keys along with my original lease agreement. He took the keys and said that He did not have a refund and I would need to wait 30 days to receive one on the mail. Now 30 days later. My bank account has been HACKED and bank investigated the multiple charges leading back to that January rent payment. I have been getting random withdrawals from different wiring entities totaling over 1k so far. Due to covid19, I can not yet file a claim in court. And the reason I am writing this is to WARN tenants and landlords about companies like this! I am attaching the refund check I just received. What a joke! See you in court.

He " took me by the hand" to direct me how to open the owner portal that I couldn't get it to open with many times of changing password etc, and he had so much patience and kindness that I was impressed! When he came to my condo, he asked me if I need any thing else before he left, and that was very thoughtful of him to even ask. I had a serious issue with water intrusion from the upper unit that caused so much damages to my property including mold, that he was very transparent and offered his license contractor after 5 high estimates that I had, to fix the damages in very reasonable price. He came to check the results after he finished and made sure that it will be satisfactory. He shared his knowledge and guided me through the whole stressful process. Even on Saturday he picked up the phone and helped me with very delicate situation that I wasn't sure how to handle. His assistant Gabriella also very kind and responsive and has a lot of patience dealing with very flaky tenants some times that will not fallow up to view the property.
