Dean & Keith did an outstanding job of marketing our home, providing first rate service. They staged the house to maximize the features in the photos and virtual tour. We received a full-price offer within a week of listing, and closed in 60 days. They also connected us with a super law firm to handle the closing. We have bought and sold at least eight houses over the years, and Dean's team has done the best so far.

I gave her a cashiers check for almost 4 thousand dollars to move in, thats first, last, and security. I pay everything on time, it all seem to be going well until the landlord tells me that i still owe them 4k. After some investigation we find out that Bershire lost the 4k. Cashiers check. When i go to the bank, the bank tells me that somebody has already cashed the check. I have to fill out a form to start the process to get my money back so i can pay the landlord for Bershire's mistake. On the form that i have to fill out there's a payer and payee section, i filled out my part but nobody else from Habana Plaza wanted to assume any responsability for the lost check (big mistake). After almost a year of waiting for my bank to give my money back, they tell me that they will be closing the case, and not return my money due to that it was cashed out at a different bank, and they can not make the other bank give them the money back. I mean why would a bank even look to give money back when the payee doesnt even sign the documents, it just looks like i am trying to get the money back that i just spent. None of the Berkshire and Habana plaza tooks responsability for the cashiers check that i gave them, i payed everything on time and give them 4k just to move in and i,was treated the whole time as if i still them money, and i will not be getting back my $1500 deposit, told me to fight the bank for it. I went to Berkshire to see what they can do for me since i gave them the money and they did nothing. Not only that, after everything they still want me to let them show the apartment while i am still living in it. Ms. Pat keeps harrasing me after i told her that she does not have permission to show the apartment before i leave because it is not written on the lease agreement, read the agreement Ms. Pat and Habana Plaza. I pay everything on time, give them a lot of money and they still treat you like it was your fault that they don't have the money. DO NOT USE BERSHIRE HATHAWAY SERVICE, THEY WILL LOSE (OR STEAL) YOUR MONEY AND STILL HOLD YOU RESPONSIBLE

My wife and I wanted to look into buying a second home in the Florida Keys so that we could be snow birds one day. I spoke with Maya and Emailed her prior to our arrival several times. She was ALWAYS on top of things. Every question I had was answered the SAME day. She and I worked together on what property my wife and I wanted to see. The day after we arrived in Key West us three spent the day looking at more than 10 houses. Her organization skills ROCK. Love her attention to detail. I cannot say enough about Maya Thomas. I have spoken with quite a few real estate agents in the Florida Keys and it seems like a lot of them don't want to take the time to even deal with you if you are not going to spend a half million dollars. Maya is the exception, trust me. My wife and I were looking for something below 100K ( which is pretty hard to find anywhere in the keys) and Maya spent the WHOLE day with us looking at property. You can do the math for yourself on what her commission is on something lower than 100K. That didn't matter to Maya. She treated us like we were buying a 1 million dollar property. Maya has the best work ethic I have ever seen in a real estate agent. Final words, If you are looking for ANY property in the Florida Keys and you want to feel like someone cares for your best interest and with absolutely no pressure then you need to talk to Maya Thomas" Rick Brown, Cincinnati, OH

They truly care about your experience. They want you to be happy. They are laser-focused on your satisfaction. I found their awareness of the Florida Keys region quintessential. And best yet, if they didn't know the answer to a question, they were Sherlockian in locating it even if it meant hunting down some local historian, running through the chain of everyone in local government or going back through real estate records and transactions. They are unrelentless in getting you the most accurate information and data possible to make well-thought-out decisions. And they are great listeners and wonderful sounding boards for you to talk through your visions for what you want in a deal, an investment, a rental property, or a personal home. I also really love their podcast; it is fun and insightful! They interview, chat, and share all kinds of interesting and entertaining information, resources, and trivia.
