When you first walk in, you can appreciate the nice decor that reflects the Asian background of this restaurant. The location is walking distance of you are near cascine Park. I ordered the sautéed vegetables and the salmon curry. I found that both were made to my liking in terms of quality and seasoning. The vegetables were sautéed with just a tiny bit of salt. It could have used some pepper to really take it over the top but it was fine. The salmon was good quality esp for the price range and the curry was delicious! Bottom line...come here for the Thai it is delicious and you get to soak in Asia with the Asian ambience! Good for those staying near cascine. Pros Service Quality of food for the price Seasoning Healthy food factor was great for me :) healthy but delicious

Not typically into restaurants that cater to two different asian cultures because oftentimes I find…read morethat it results in an assortment of dishes that taste vaguely asian (I mean add a dab of soy sauce to rice and bam you've got vaguely asian- anytime, anywhere). In Niwa's case they've done a very good job of serving genuine food that correctly represents both Thai and Japanese cuisine. My friends and I ordered a series of dishes in order to sample all that the restaurant had to offer (ranging from pad thai to seared salmon) and discovered that not only were the dishes flavorful but also very filling. Definitely plan on popping in again. On a side note, the restaurant seems to fill up once it hits 9:00PM (or in Italian format 21:00) so make sure to come a little earlier if you don't want to wait.

Last month, we visited Florence and stayed for one night. Our hotel was only a couple minutes walk…read morefrom Chilli Casa! We wanted to eat Chinese food that night and luckily were able to find this spot in our search. They are located in Florence's "Chinatown". There are Asian markets and a couple of different restaurants that serve Asian food. We were able to walk in and be seated immediately. Staff was very nice; we had great conversations with them ;) Food: we got cauliflower griddle, ma po tofu, beef ramen in szechuan special sauce, japanese ramen with pork & boiled fish with pickled cabbage. Their menu is pretty extensive... not gonna lie, it was a bit overwhelming, 13 pages BUT much appreciated. Lots of options and you're bound to find something you'll like. Overall, the food wasn't too bad. I don't expect to find the best Chinese restaurant in Europe. The boiled fish with pickled cabbage was very salty and oily. I had the beef ramen & it was okay but again, very oily... wasn't spicy just oily. If you're a soup drinker, this soup is not really drinkable. Ma po tofu was also extremely salty. So salty that it tasted spicy. I would only suggest getting the cauliflower. I am rating them a 4/5 because finding a Chinese restaurant was actually pretty hard in Florence.

No one asked for them! And none of the other tables got them. I was so furious and annoyed by this disgusting racism that I said no repeatedly for them to take them off the table. After that our food came out cold and they never came back to check on us. They also never brought our dumplings. I went to the manager and he just laughed under his breath in front of me. This is a sad establishment and unfortunate. Never go to this place or support this type of piss poor performance. You're better off going somewhere else.
