I walked in and they spoke Norwegian to me and noticed the confused look on my face. Right away, they switched over to English. The staff here spoke English very well and were so delighted to have me. I felt very welcomed and the service was excellent. Now on to the food.... By far, the best quality of sushi I've ever had! This place is pretty upscale and a little expensive, but totally worth it. I ordered the Sashimi platter for 1. This comes with salmon belly, scallops topped with caviar, shrimp, tuna, and two other types of white fish that I don't recall the names of. It also comes with a side of sushi rice so you can build your own Nigiri. It was about $45 USD for all of this, a little steep, but so worth it! The fish was so fresh and melted in your mouth. I must also say that I have a high bar when it comes to sushi and I wasn't disappointed at all. I must say that sometimes quality has a cost and I was willing to get the quality tonight as I was in exquisite company. The main dishes were a sushi assortment and some different sashimis pieces. The sashimi's were delicious, salmon sashimis are normally the one I go for but this one also had tuna but also cod and scallop which I never had as a sashimi before. They were all exquisites. With regards to the sushis, the rice cooking was a little bit different than what I had in the past, it was actually al dente a bit like the pasta, and with this chef this rendered the sushis sublime. The staff was professional, friendly and very presentable. If I ever get back to Trondheim I will go back.

This place has no business being in business in my opinion. Also, you'd think since this is in a VERY tourist-y area you'd think their pay at the table service would accept international credit cards like an Apple Card, but of course not, they were all declined! I had to go up front to pay before I could eat, another gripe for me. Let's get to the most important part...the food. Sushi is best served chilled, not here though, it's like warm and feels like it's been out for a while. There's a reason this place is nearly empty on a Sunday evening, it's not good at all! Save your Krone and go across to McDonalds, you'll get a meal at least you're expecting.

Pre-prepaired rolls sat next to the sushi offerings waiting to be unsealed and added to the offerings. The best thing at the table was not the sushi nut the chicken wings and fish sticks which were both fried. I will not try this place again for the poor attempt at sushi. Maybe try the burger next time?
