The chefs here are truly skilled, and my recommendation is to share a plate for 2 or 3 persons. My favorite is the Tempura Mixed, but if you're feeling fancy (and don't mind spending some extra money), go for the Omakase, and the chef will compose something creative based on whatever is the best ingredients at the time. This place is pretty upscale and a little expensive, but totally worth it. I ordered the Sashimi platter for 1. This comes with salmon belly, scallops topped with caviar, shrimp, tuna, and two other types of white fish that I don't recall the names of. It also comes with a side of sushi rice so you can build your own Nigiri. It was about $45 USD for all of this, a little steep, but so worth it! The fish was so fresh and melted in your mouth. I must also say that I have a high bar when it comes to sushi and I wasn't disappointed at all. I must say that sometimes quality has a cost and I was willing to get the quality tonight as I was in exquisite company. The main dishes were a sushi assortment and some different sashimis pieces. The sashimi's were delicious, salmon sashimis are normally the one I go for but this one also had tuna but also cod and scallop which I never had as a sashimi before. They were all exquisites. With regards to the sushis, the rice cooking was a little bit different than what I had in the past, it was actually al dente a bit like the pasta, and with this chef this rendered the sushis sublime. The staff was professional, friendly and very presentable. If I ever get back to Trondheim I will go back.
