I would like to formally express my disappointment regarding my recent experience at Mondongo's. I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years and have supported this restaurant consistently. Today, I arrived with my service dog, who has the appropriate documentation and has accompanied me many times before without issue. I was informed that dogs were not allowed and was denied entry with my dog. Out of respect, I took my dog back home and returned to dine at the restaurant. However, while inside, I observed other customers with dogs who appeared to be allowed to remain in the restaurant. This inconsistency in treatment was confusing and upsetting. Beyond being disappointed as a long-time customer, I felt personally disrespected. My dog is part of my family and, more importantly, a service animal. The situation left me feeling unfairly treated compared to other guests. I would appreciate clarification regarding your policy on service animals and pets, as well as an explanation as to why I was denied while other dogs appeared to be permitted. I hope management takes this concern seriously because experiences like this affect customer trust and loyalty. Absolutely beautiful and elegant venue decorated with plants, wood furniture in a very cozy qnd welcoming space. This Colombian restaurant serves authentic Colombian dishes and their best one is the "mondongo soup", a South American soup made from slow-cooked bife tripe (beef stomach) with vegetables like carrots, onions and potatoes with a very rich flavor. The restaurant looks very nice. Service, while nothing wrong with it, felt rushed. Food was ok, nothing memorable, except that you get very large portions so you can take some home and get another meal out of the left overs. The chicharrones were not as crispy as one would hope. I aboslutely love this spot. It is one of my go to's when I am going to the airport as well as one of my places to go for lunch when I am in the office. I am colombian so it is awesome to find an authentic spot that makes it just like home. I have been coming here since I was younger with my dad and the family. I love to order either the Ajiaco or the Tipico Antioqueno. The ajiaco comes with all the sides and so does the antioqueno. Ther is no way that you can come here and leave hungry. The portions are on the larger side which I love because if I have left overs I usually eat them as a second meal. The service is quick enough that if you have an hour lunch break you should be okay. The place is clean and there are 3 different dining areas. The location has it's own parking lot. This place reminds me of home which is probably why it has such a soft spot in my hear. I will continue to come here time and time again and I always leave satisfied. read more

Upon entering I realized this would be an experience and not just a meal. Prompt and friendly service and a very patient helpful waiter. There were lots of people here that we could tell were local regulars. Lots going on and yet sitting at our table we felt it was an intimate setting. I ordered the Tipico Antioqueno, This dish has so many elements. A bowl of pinto beans arrives underneath a plate of rice, ground beef, chicharron, plantain, and steamed potato. Mix the beans with everything and don't forget to add avocado, cilantro, banana, ají dulce, and arepa into the mix (all of which are included in this dish too). FOOD RUNDOWN consisted of mondongo a tripe stew made with stomach lining or intestines, I like trying new experiences so I was purposeful with my choice. It also had fried pork belly,a dried beef, beans, egg, steamed potato, plantain and rice. Accompanied by a few sauce/dips. It was a fun experience and I ate as much as I was able because it was so delicious! The waiter let me know to stir my beans onto my beef and rice and egg. When we visit this area then I will definitely order this again! To drink had the Lichi Sangria which had a sprig of basil in it that the waiter set on fire and said it was for 'good vibes'. Horrible service, the host & manager are definitely slow. We walked in to eat with our pet. We are waiting like 5 mins to be sat I asked the host twice are you going to sit us & she said wait the person is coming to sit you. Then the manager walks up to us & says we no longer accept dogs. Which is fine those are the policys but why make us wait 5 mins to say that I promise these typa of slow people will ruin anyones day. read more

A Large parking lot with free parking always a plus! This is definitely one of the better Authentic Colombian restaurants in the area! They have multiple dining rooms, Excellent service as the servers are fast, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable! The NY strips were cooked to perfection, large portions at very reasonable prices! My mother in law wanted to go have family dinner here for Mother's Day. Being half Colombian I LOVE Colombian food. Una bandeja hits right pretty much any time. For the fact it was a special occasion it was not packed and service was very quick. We were seated in about 20 minutes. The restaurant is spacious, decorated traditionally. The menu is not very big, but tasty. I got the limonada de coco ( coconut lemonade) it was very refreshing. For appetizers we got empanadas they are known as empanadas de iglesia in Colombia they are small Little empanadas. Super cute and yummy.I got the tipico antioqueño dish wish is the same basically as the bandeja paisa. Comes with meat, rice, potato, chorizo, banana, avocado, beans and an egg. It was delicious and obviously filling. I personally like carne asada ( steak ) with my bandeja vs ground meat because Colombians tend to make the ground meat dry but throw in some beans & it's delicious still. Nice little spot. read more

I've been here plenty of times but I've never wrote a review, surprisingly. What you'll notice about this restaurant is that it specializes in beef tripe soup. Other options are chicken, pork, and steak. The kids menu is very limited, but my kids love it. The servings are plentiful so bring an appetite. The service has always been pleasant and fast. The restaurant is spacious and it has several open rooms, including a bar. The drinks are really good and creative, like the aguardiente mule. Totally recommend Mondongo's for a nice time. read more

The inside of the restaurant is really nice. The service was outstanding. The food on the other hand was ok. The empanadas were very small, like miniature size. Then the plate I got was called el típico. The food tasted grate but they shredded the meat. It really didn't have a taste it was just plane. The bandeja paisa doesn't have all of the typical ingredients, and the Mondongo soup didn't have that much of a flavor it was kind of plain. I used to order the same thing twice a week religiously. I like the food , but they raised the prices a lot and serve less food. I guess, like most businesses but usually, either you do a "SHRINKFLATION" and keep the same prices, or go up in prices but don't serve less food. To bad.
