Had high expectations for this place but the quality of the food fell flat.
Walked in and was seated immediately with options for inside and outside seating. A free pork appetizer came out with water and an attentive waiter who spoke Mandarin and French but no English. English menus were not available either.
We ordered a variety of dishes and food service was almost instantaneous.
The appetizer platter was probably the highlight of the dinner but still so-so. We were told the beef skewer went with the mustard sauce. But it was far too sweet, overpowering the savoriness of the beef. The chicken was supposed to go with a different sauce that had no flavor. The spring rolls were fresh though and a real treat. We also had a papaya salad. That was acceptable but lacked the spiciness of true Cambodian papaya salad. Overall the appetizers were light and fresh, as befitting an appetizer, if not weakened by the poor seasoning.
Our main entrees arrived. The sizzling beef was far too salty and we were not a fan of the spice blend. The coconut chicken curry was light but also suffered from lack of flavor. Particularly egregious was the vegetables that came as part of the three-course vegetarian platter. They had no flavor, not even salt.
The desserts we ordered were forgettable. The three color dessert had an artificial taste to it as well.
Despite the amazing service, I really can't recommend this place. I wouldn't be back. read more
