My brother did the Super car experience which we bought for his 40th birthday. Mondello is difficult to find so leave in plenty of time. The place is fairly ran down and in bad need of a lick of paint. We eventually found where we were supposed to meet the Mondello crew and Sean (my brother) was taken away for a briefing. During the briefing, he was told "dont be afraid to drive the cars fast...we are paying for the petrol" Of course this wasnt true....we were. And at 300 euros for 10 laps, it was well paid for. Then he was told he had to pay €20 for insurance. He was then taken to a Mazda 3 where he was given instruction on how to get the most out of the Porche that he would be driving later. While this was going on, we looked for a good vantage point to get decent footage of his drive. There is nowhere. The observation tower was locked and they would not open it. We were told to stand on top of the bar (which was closed....and looked like it was closed for a few years). But there was a bad view there. So we went back inside and just waited for him to finish. This didnt take long as the 10 laps only took about 12 minutes. When he came back in he we were shown footage from a in car camera and offered it for a further €35.
Considering we were there at 2pm and back in the car heading for home at 2:35pm, after only getting a top speed of 140 KMPH out of a Porche (it was only clocked for 150 but with the track being so short, it was impossible to get any more out of it), we all felt it was a rip off. The least that they could have done is give him the footage of his driving experience. And its unfair that there was nowhere for guests to watch ot record footage.
I would rate it as a poor experience. The toilets are very poor and the whole area is badly kept. There was a kettle there and we were allowed to make tea but no treat with the tea Im afraid. read more
