A little odd twist of the modern age: a review of a restaurant I have never been to. I have doordashed a very good 12 inch pizza a couple of times. If you like hole in the wall pizza joints? You'll love this place. A little lady makes everything. The sauce, the dough and everything else. Definitely has a NY style to their pizza. Which is my favorite. I'm sure that everything else is good. But I can't stop eating their pizza lol. They also have the largest soda collection I've ever seen. It's a small place. Take out only. It's Tuesday night a long drive home and I found this nice family-owned Italian restaurant they started with the Caesar salad it was fabulous and then I moved on to the lasagna what's cool about this place is they have 50 60 different soda drinks to choose from which makes this place very fun the salad was fantastic lasagna was better and choosing out a soda from Old School to new school made my day read more

I love this pizza place, the pizza is so good to begin with. They are super nice and have a huge collection of glass bottle sodas! I ordered the deal with large pizza 2 toppings + wings. They were nice and didn't charge me for an extra half topping. They also kept our sodas we selected in fridge while we waited, super considerate. They also had a gluten free option I need to try. This place is pretty solid, very consistent, tasty pizza and nice service. They have a good selection of items other than pizza, but we mostly stick to the pizza. It feels like they're busy whenever we order, but it's worth the wait. My kid loves the pizza here. The employees are always nice and they remember us. So I tried this pizza and thought I found a new go to pizza spot but I was mistaken, very mistaken Pros: The chicken BBQ and Hawaiian pizza was actually pretty solid. Cons: First time I had them was during a late night poker game and I think I ate 2 or 3 slices. I even raved about it to others. Good lord I'm hoping they didn't listen to me because a few months later with my family. Ordered half bbq chicken and pepperoni. Chicken bbq was good as the first time how the pepperoni pizza was bland. Overall: My wife couldn't finish her slice. So excited to have free delivery! The person who dropped it off was so chipper it set the mood for a delightful dinner. Dad, our toughest guy, really enjoyed his roast beef sandwich. He gobbled it down quickly! Mom thoroughly enjoyed her eggplant parm. sandwich. She noted how happy she was that the eggplant wasn't drowning in greasy fried breading or sauce. I also wasn't overwhelmed with Parmesan. As one who considers the sauce to be the mark of an Italian restaurant she was pleased it was good. We also ordered a side of meatballs. We received two with plenty of flavorful marinara sauce. Beef meatballs were light and tender. It may be that having the meal delivered interfeared with the french fries as they were too grainy in the center. The outsides weren't as crisp as we like. Might need to try these at the restaurant. Visiting my mom in El Cajon, she ordered a pizza for delivery from here. The driver was 20 minutes later than the app was telling us. My mom frequently eats Monavala. The driver knew her and apologized. Nice guy. Mom ordered combo pizza that had spinach, sausage, mushrooms and a 5 cheese. This pizza was very good. Plenty of toppings, fresh and hot. The crust was very traditional hand tossed and tasty. Soft. What was even better is there was a very light layer of sauce that was delicious yet not overpowering. A delightful mix of flavors. as a handicap person, I sometimes order food just to make my life easier. I am Italian. I ordered from this place through Grubhub. 1. Worst lasagna I have ever had in my life. the sauce had sourness to it the noodles were mush It was supposed to be meat lasagna, but I had to look for meat. Finally I gave up eating it because I didn't want to get sick. 2. Cannoli... shell was so hard I could not bite through it. Filling was sparse. 3. Antipasto salad was fine. The problem being handicapped... I needed something decent to eat... Now I have to go into my kitchen and make something because I could not eat that lasagna. I scraped the fill of the cannoli out. You can really tell this is a family-owned business that genuinely cares about its customers. We've never had a bad experience here. The customer service is always warm, friendly, and welcoming, and the food is consistently delicious. My personal favorites are the Hawaiian pizza, the Buffalo Chicken pizza, and the BBQ Chicken pizza. The Rigatoni alla Vodka is also absolutely amazing and one of my favorite pasta dishes. It's not easy to find a place that serves consistently great food while making you feel so welcome every time you visit, but Roger's Pizzarolo does exactly that. If you're looking for authentic New York-style pizza and excellent customer service, I can't recommend this place enough. My family and I will definitely keep coming back!

We tried Monalova pizza for the first time last week. We ordered pizza and fries. We took it to go and it was a great experience. When we got home we realized that we forgot to ask for ketchup for the fries and parmigian cheese and red peppers for the pizza. We opened the fries and there were ketchup packets and opened the pizza box and found parmigian and red peppers in the box. Some places are now charging for parmigian and here they included it without even asking. It may be a small thing but when everyone else is cutting back it is nice to see a business looking out for its customers. read more

You also can't beat the prices or the service. These are the kindest people! Unfortunately the last few orders the quality of our food has been so poor we can no longer buy food from here . There is almost no cheese on the pizza . They get your order wrong and act like it is somehow your fault . And I couldn't believe how gross their lasagna is now .
