Smaller, cozy full of character Bar area and the whole place is filled with bottles. 5 tables outside but for me inside was much more interesting. I ordered a Verdejo and my Server brought out a complimentary tomato Tapa and Salami. Tomatoes were super fresh and slightly salted-delicious! Everything on the menu looked good! I ordered the Sturgeon, Foie Gras and White Sausage. The Sturgeon was exquisite with the tomatoes and peppers pairing perfectly! Should have taken the big order. Foie Gras and white sausage (mild) were simple, tasty and didn't disappoint. My Server was friendly and worked to bring out the dishes as they were ready given my time crunch. About an 8 minute walk from the city center and well worth it. Make the stop for some high quality/reasonably priced Tapas and Wine in a unique space.

We ordered the broad beans with jamon, jamon iberica (awesome presentation), a salad of tomatoes with lettuce hearts and dry cured anchovies (ok), and "grilled cheese" which was grilled wedges of Brie (yummy). I was happy with the beans and jamon. I liked the atmosphere.

Upon arrival, I told the waiter I waiting for my husband and children and wasn't even asking to be seated without them, yet he acted as though I was inconveniencing him, by asking when they would arrive and then sarcastically pointing out that it had been "more than a minute" a few minutes later. (This was walk in, not a reservation we were late for). Once we were seated, he took his sweet time to come our table, and then, when he saw my 6-year-old had a small sandwich from elsewhere, let out an exaggerated sigh, and told us we couldn't stay. We explained that he's a young child and there was nothing on the menu he would eat, but the waiter was dismissive and inflexible, so we left (politely, not wanting a confrontation). I can't know what was in his mind, but as a South Asian family, the hostility and difference in treatment made the experience feel racist. We were polite throughout and were made to feel completely unwelcome.

Tucked into the winding streets of the Albacin, far from the bustle of the city center, El Trillo…read morewas a lovely find for a calm dinner at sunset. We were seated on the terrace with a beautiful view of the Alhambra. The menu included innovative riffs on classic Andalusian dishes. The Iberian pig cheek was meltingly tender yet rich in taste and the Octopus and boletus risotto beautifully balanced the briny sweetness of the octopus with the earthy tones of the boletus (better known as porcini mushrooms in Italian and English) Service was unhurried but attentive creating a lovely setting for quiet conversation.. Their wine list was thoughtfully curated with a focus on smaller Spanish producers offered more than a few delightful choices. Plan to stay a while to sip a glass of wine, savor the flavors, and bask in the last golden rays of the day!

Though a restaurant can't rely on views to thrive. We found the architecture of the restaurant is also very special. A Buddha statue greets you at the front. You can have the garden seating or balcony seatings that get the glimpse of Alhambra. We chose the latter with following dishes: Arroz Pulpo, and Bacalao a La Plancha. The pan seared cod was tender and fresh coupled w/ fried pumpkins and beans. To add the flavor, three thin slices of pork belly (fat) were placed on top of the cod. The octopus risotto and octopus in black rice were something interesting. Personally I think the black rice octopus was taster than the risotto, which was too rich in butter and cream. The sangria was not that impressive, maybe the red was too dry and not enough of fruits. If you do go there, please remember to spread some mosquitoes repellent. Because while you dine, they also have their meals.

Most of the menu focuses on seafood, but they have limited vegetarian and meat dishes as well. I would actually highly recommend the mushrooms here... you won't regret it!! First time we came was on a busy Saturday night around 8:30. The tables (which resemble long picnic tables) were full, but we saw two spots open at the bar, so we decided to eat there. Note that they only have 2 bar stools and everyone else has to stand at the bar. I got a tinto verano (2.80€) for my drink and my friend went with a cana i.e. a small beer (2.80€). The best thing about Los Diamantes is that you get some complimentary snacks to munch on with your drink order. The first time we came, the first free snack we got was these super delicious and lightly fried fish. Portion size was pretty large too, considering they're free. I also got a half order of navajas, i.e. razor clams, for 13€. I've never had razor clams before but the ones here are bomb. They're grilled with olive oil and plenty of garlic, but the natural flavor and slight crunch of the clams really come through. My friend got a second beer and got the most amazing grilled mushrooms for his free snack. We were honestly both obsessed with these mushrooms. That's why we came again the next day for an early dinner around 5 pm. This time, we specifically ordered a plate of the mushrooms for 12€ as well as the Galician style octopus (15€). The mushroom was again SO GOOD. Would highly recommend everyone get this to have some veggies in between all the seafood. Of course we got some drinks as well, so we got a complimentary snack again. This time it was some fried breaded shrimp.
