I bought a sofa from Monarch 4 years ago and have nothing but problems with it from the beginning. Within the first month the tufting started coming loose on multiple areas. It was repaired just to continue to happen again .. and again.. and again. I emailed the company asking if this extent of tufting problems and issues is common with the Chesterfield model I was recently sold, or if it's a manufacturing issue. They did not directly address the question - just that they'd send a more experienced upholster to repair. After numerous repairs I finally insisted this has to be an issue in manufacturing, since same tufting spots on the sofa come loose within days to weeks after repair. They finally took the sofa back to the shop for a few weeks, after which tufting lasted a little longer without lifting until last month when tufting and buttons lifted again. I emailed the company and they replied tufting isn't covered under warranty, they had been continually repairing as courtesy, and these issues are common with Chesterfield sofa tufting style. I told them that information should have been disclosed before I bought the sofa, or during the multiple other times immediately after purchase when I questioned if this was normal for their Chesterfield model-- if they had told me the sofa I was about to spend thousands on would look like crap in a month when tufting would start lifting, I would have never bought it. I also pointed out I have a very similar style tufted sofa from another furniture company that I've had 3 years with zero issues. If you're expecting quality to match the price, skip this place. read more

We are an interior design firm specializing in commercial projects, but for a recent residential job, we looked at several potential vendors. We ultimately settled on Monarch and I can state, unequivocally, that they were terrific, from the inception of our inquiry until the delivery of the 2 sofas we ordered. Mike was incredibly helpful and always responded quickly. We needed custom sized sofas and a special fabric, and unlike a few other vendors, Monarch happily obliged and produced a quality product at a price far lower than many other suppliers. The L-shaped sectional that we purchased is unusable. The back has a steep angle, which makes it impossible to just sit on it, you lean so far back. Even after purchasing several hundred dollars worth of pillows, we still can't get comfortable. When I talked to Mike about it, he said that it was made to specifications, so the problem wasn't with the manufacturing process. He was right - the problem was with him and either his lack of knowledge of the product or his willingness to say anything in order to get a sale. I do not have a problem with the quality of the sectional. If I could sit on it like a normal person, I would love it. But because of either ignorance or duplicity, I am stuck with a $2,300 mistake. read more

I reached out to the manager Eva and not only she is rude but she is not trying to solve the issue at all. I wish I never step foot in this store. I have nothing against Mike. I would never recommend Monarch Sofa to anyone. People at the sore are fine but after the sale is completed good luck with dealing with anyone. I complained about my finished product and I was contact by their manager, her name is Eva. Not only she is rude but she lacks customer service. I have no idea how she even got this position. The sofa looks deform after a week of being delivered. And the so called management at this company refuse to do anything about it. From the moment I ordered this sofa there has been one issue after another. I don't want anyone to go through what I have gone through. I had my sofa made here less than 3 years ago. 6 months ago the sofa started making this squeaky noise, like it had bad springs. When I flipped it over I could see that 2 of the coils had come unstapled and were poking through the fabric that covered the underneath of the sofa. Eventually 6 more popped. The "staple" and I do mean that singular, that attaches the snake like coil to the wood on each side came out. Mind you, I am the ONLY ONE who uses this sofa, and weigh all of 150lbs, this was not normal wear and tear. Reading the reviews, and seeing the craftsmanship I called another more reputable company and sent them pictures. They said this was one of the most poorly made custom sofas they had seen. They said there was NO WAY those stapels should have lasted this long, and that it needs more support, meaning different coils and webbing, and thicker pieces of wood to be a functional sofa. Bascially they said I got jipped! I spent $1800 for this sofa, and I expect more from a product than this. IF you are okay with disposable furniture then by all means waste your money, but you would be better off going to IKEA. VERY DISAPPOINTED read more

I purchased a custom sofa from Monarch Sofa in October 2015. I chose them because it allowed me to get exactly what I wanted in design, dimensions, fabric and quality. Mike was outstanding in the service he provided. I was told it would be 7-9 weeks from the time of the order until delivery (really busy before the holidays). It was right at 7 weeks when it was delivered to my home. I would absolutely buy another sofa from them when needed and recommend them to anyone that has a specific style in mind and doesn't want to hit every furniture store in town trying to find that special piece. read more

We could not find the sofa we wanted any where.Husband said we will have to have new tires if you don't find the sectional we were looking for.Went to Monarch sofas,picked out the sofa we wanted told him the measurements we needed,so it would fit into space we had.Picked out material,ordered sectional.when the delivery men got here,they wanted to give me the wrong sofa.When we told them what color it was,they got the right one. They had to take door off to get first piece in.When all was set up it was great just what we wanted.But in about two weeks we wanted to add a new piece to it .we went back told Mike.He called to make sure they still had the material on the same bolt.They said yes,gave them the measurement of the new piece.This time we went to get it .When we got home with it ,it fit great .Will say that they tell you up front no returns.As all orders are custom made.If you pick out carefully know what you want give the right measurements.your sofa should turn out great as ours did.Have told anybody that asked where we got our sectional about them.We could not be happier with ours read more
