I'm writing this review after working with Skillings for nearly five years at my home in MA. I have…read morea point well with a jet pump, and because there are relatively few companies experienced with these systems, I trusted Skillings as the experts. Unfortunately, that trust ultimately cost me several thousand dollars. Over the years, I had repeated issues with my pump. What started as a rebuild eventually turned into two more rebuilds. Looking back, I could have replaced the pump multiple times for what I spent trying to repair it. The biggest issue came when Skillings installed a filtration system. Someone came out, evaluated my setup, and quoted approximately $1,000 for the work. The system they installed was not appropriate for my application. For nearly a year, I dealt with ongoing sediment and filtration problems. The system failed to properly remove sediment, contributed to another pump failure, and allowed sediment into my irrigation system, ultimately causing several thousand dollars in damage. I didn't write this review after one bad experience, and I didn't write it after two, either. I continued working with Skillings for years, gave them feedback, and gave them multiple opportunities to address the problems. It wasn't until I finally hired a competent irrigation specialist and pump specialist who properly evaluated my system and installed the correct equipment that I realized just how badly my system had been handled. I understand how damaging a review like this can be to a company, and I don't write it lightly. But after years of service calls, repeated pump failures, wasted time, and several thousand dollars in unnecessary costs and damage, I feel obligated to share my experience. I trusted Skillings because I believed they were the experts, and unfortunately, that trust turned into a very expensive lesson.

Found out on a Friday morning that I had no water coming from the well at my home. I called around…read moreand came across Skillings & Sons. I was able to set up service same day. The guys were prompt and efficient in diagnosing my issues with my well. Thank you, Kyle and Caleb, for doing so. My issues turns out that I wasn't getting the proper voltage from my house to the pump. Kyle and Caleb suggestion was to have the well pump rewired from the house to the pump. It was completely needed. Day 2: I had the electrician out and did an outstanding job getting this completed in a timely fashion however, it turns out that with the proper voltage supplied to the pump the pump was old and fried out. Day 3: Called Skillings & Sons again to come out and replace the pump. I had scheduled a 2:00 PM appointment as it was the soonest available. Great to find out the morning of Skillings & Sons Technician's finished a job earlier than expected so I got a call that they can arrive earlier to replace my pump. Technician's Kyle and Jason came in to replace the pump. Extremely professional kind and courteous were the technicians on both trips to my house. They completed the job in 3.5 to 4 hours and i was given specific instructions on how to get my water back to normal. All I can say is that I would Highly recommend Skillings & Sons. Honest, Professional, Efficient quality company. Thank You again Kyle, Jason, and Caleb.

Tacking on an additional $300. He gave no reason for the up charge. It was a bait and switch. Recently I had a professional crew come in and do some unrelated work. They said, "Who did the flooring? They didn't remove the base boards or add any basing. They stuck the flooring directly to the concrete. Wow..." I told them nothing about the floor. That was their genuine reaction. I wouldn't recommend Sully's Carpets.

Today I needed real tech support on my 11 year old Hot Springs Spa that is on a remote island. I thought I would be out of action for days! Justin from Oasis's service dept called me. Short version--nothing compares to the Bullfrog spa from quality, design, ease of use, and maintenance. Do the homework and you are likely to conclude the same. As important, nothing comes close to the incredible sales and service support I receive(d) from the Oasis staff. I have rarely experienced this level of service in recent years. Oasis is focused on customer needs and satisfaction, and I am confident (and have already experienced in the first two months of use) that if I need assistance or have a question, they are not satisfied until I am! If you're looking for a quality spa, look no further as the real value is the peace of mind, once installed, knowing you have a group of professionals still eager to serve you. Many thanks to Steve and Justin, and the entire Oasis team!

Popcorn ceiling removal and painting…read more We had a large living/dining room, all purpose room with ceiling beams,, a couple of small hallways, bedroom and kitchen that needed removal of the popcorn on the ceilings, smoothing out any imperfections and painting them. of the three companies we received estimates from Honest Brothers was the most complete. All quotes were close in price. The reason we selected Honest Brothers is they took the time to see and listen to what we wanted done and wrote it in the contract. Due to a family health emergency, we had to delay the start date by a couple of months. They were easy to work with when picking a new start date. Two workers did all of the work. They were here everyday on time and worked from morning till late afternoon. They were polite and answered any questions we had during the process. It would be an understatement to say I was so happy with the final result. They did an amazing job! Give them a call for any exterior or interior painting you need done.
