Stopped by the Old Mission inn for their festival of lights held yearly. I had two kids in tow (mine and my not so little cousin) and of course, they can only oogle at lights before they start to smell the sweet aroma of fattening, sugar-laden treats so conveniently -- well convenient. Donuts are typically a winner in my book albeit my diet's general aversion to them. BUT these were MINI!! That means I can have them right??!!!?! Anyway, these pillowy little fried dough-sies were yummy (short of being equipped with a more descriptive adjective), drizzled with some sugary glaze. Wow these are delicious!!! Not much to say besides they are fresh,made to order and absolutely delicious. The ladies working were sweet,the long line went fast and they were made to order. We got glazed and chocolate, while both great we both liked the chocolate better. The ones in the middle ended up mixed with both glazes,oh my gosh, that's the way to go. Very sweet so grab some milk or go crazy and get a hot chocolate (it looked good too). 8$ for a tray (you can do half and half toppings) or 5$ for a bag of cinnamon sugar. There's a few more options but that's the 2 I remember The tray had enough donuts for 4 or 5 people. It's a lot of donuts, there small but filling. After seeing some great reviews of Mom's Mini Donuts I was going to book them for my destination wedding in California without even trying the donuts. Thankfully we were able to try them at our tasting at Temecula Creek Inn and they were delicious. Unfortunately our August wedding this year has been cancelled by the venue, but Donna has been absolutely incredible in considering our circumstance and giving me a refund without hesitation. I am visiting my family in California. We went to the Mission Inn restaurant to get some food and when we were done we had to get some of these delicious donuts. The small bag of donuts is way too much for 3 people. They are so good and so warm. They are covered in cinnamon sugar and smell like the feeling of a good hug. From Start to finish, Donna and her team made our Wedding extra special with her gourmet Ice Cream Bar and Frozen Banana treats she supplied as an added treat for our guests. My guests were lined up and didn't have to wait long for a delicious chocolate coated frozen treat with 5 different coated toppings that you got to choose. I was so excited to book them for my daughters birthday party because of all the great reviews and trying their donuts at the mission inn. First off, I called and was told they were unable to take my call at the moment and to email them (which I understand, it's a buisness and very busy people). So as told, I emailed them...no response. I then called 1 month later (my event wasn't for a couple months) and was told the same thing when the phone was answered, to email them because they could not take my call. I said that I had called a month ago and was told the same thing so she then asked for my email, my call was dropped and I received a text asking for my email. I sent my email, and have received nothing to this day. This was about 3 weeks ago from today. So over all I tried for almost 2 months to book and customer service was just awful....booked a different mini donut company for my daughters party. read more
