I have been a customer at this Laundromat for almost 2 years. I usually go once or sometimes twice…read morea week. I am always polite and respectful. The female staff is very professional. But I do have valid complaint regarding the manager who also owns the business. Today I did my laundry in an older machine. It's at the back row and 4.00. Because it was very busy , it was the only machine available, so I put it xtra clothes in the machine. This is the only time I have done this. I'm not the only customer who has done this and I most likely won't be the last. After loading the machine I went to sit outside , and then when I returned , the lid of the washer was up. The manager was at the sink and instead of saying to me, "Excuse me miss but you put too many clothes in the machine. Please don't overload next time". But he proceeded to communicate to me in a very condescending way, that was rude, and belittling, and rolling his eyes at me like I am completely stupid. Then he proceeded to tell me that the engine of the machine was giving off an unpleasant odour can't I smell it, and it's ruining the machine. And because of me the cost of doing laundry goes up for everyone. ( lol... all because of me heh lol) There was no odour. That machine is used over and over again, so for me overloading , is not going to be my fault. So then I asked him if it's ok if I put the lid down of the washer, so the wash could finish, there were 4 minutes left. He replied " Oh... what are you trying to ask me now?", in a snitty rude arrogant voice. Then he says " Oh and that's not washing." and rolls his eyes , shakes his head and rudely walks away. He also said that my clothes would be soaking wet when I take them out. My clothes were washed My clothes were not soaking wet. This was a very humiliating way to be treated. Lots of machines, lots of room, ATM, change machine, detergent vending machines, on-site attendant with more detergent and snacks for sale, carts, countertops, even little sitting areas including a TV, magazines, and chairs. It was so clean; the attendant never stopped flying around, wiping down counters, vacuuming the floors, and scrubbing chairs. Plus, the machine I chose was HUGE!! I was prepared to do 3 loads but it all fit in one. I was also prepared to be there for hours, but once again, I was happily blown away: 15 minutes in that turbo machine and my clothing was spic-and-span, and 36 minutes in the corresponding dryer was more than enough. The wash cost me $4.25 and the dryer was 25c/4minutes. There were other machines too but I don't know why you'd use them. I was dreading laundry day, but it was painless and I was practically giddy with excitement! Also, I believe they are open 7days/week but I don't remember the hours. Mostly 9am-10:30pm with the request that all loads begin before 9:30pm.

They've set me up with people who do alterations, and that has always turned out well. They sew on missing buttons. OK, these things happen. What I do ding them for is that they failed to warn me in advance that the outcome could be bad and that they'd switched to a new type of cleaning procedure since the last time it had been successfully cleaned. I'm heartbroken over the loss of my treasure but that alone probably wouldn't have stopped me from using Dockside again. What did it for me was their (unprovoked) defensive, unapologetic, belligerent response when I tried gently discussing the problem. They did return the cleaning fee, but only after I requested and had to endure the aforesaid bad reaction.

Sweaters returned still dirty, unwearable wool skirts, dress shirts were dry cleaned not laundered so stains pressed into cloth. Same with tablecloths. I am fully aware Dry cleaning is expensive and I paid my bill in full. After Several attempts to communicate, better understand their services and clarify my requests I stopped using Master Cleaners. On 1 occasion I had another customer cuss me out for the reason my white boxer followed me into the building.. I ignored his blatant rude arrogance. A few weeks later? This same older South American male, 50-55 once again decided to curse me out simply bc my boxer again slightly stepped foot into the side door of facilty. This same man? Also had his young son with him, raising his arms cursing me. This time I invited him outside to say this to my face, enough of his obnoxious mouth. He called the police instead, and I stuck around to explain not just this incident, but also the previous verbal tirade this hot head spews.. The owners? Decided to 86 me, and I've not returned since nor will I Ever if this is how they conduct business all they are afraid of so.me random middle aged Hispanic man who has anger issues.. Oh,plenty of patrons sit in that front lobby with small dogs in thier laps but not 1 of them stuck up for this Disabled veteran.. You've earned a life long Boycott DM... Count on me telling everyone I know about your Business.. Couldn't think of more deserving business that has had several Equipment fires due to shoddy maint, being overlooked... Driers that suddenly ignite due to dangerous amounts of dry clothing lint. A few days later I showed up unannounced with the laundry and some exacting instructions. Again she was very pleasant to speak with. She stated the delivery date and gave me my receipt. The day before the scheduled pickup she called and asked if I would like anything on hangers. I asked her to just stack everything up and she did. When I arrived to pick up the laundry she indicated that the whites and colored clothes were in separate bags in order to comply with my request to give back to me very very damp shirts, pants etc, anything colored. My clothes have zero smell to them. Everything was very clean, even the things I had worn camping that were quite soiled and smelled, had bug spray etc. Everything was perfectly neatly folded, even my underwear and socks were folded in individual little bags. She delivered according to my ask and to my 100% satisfaction, and with courtesy and kindness. This is definitely one the best if not THE best wash and fold experience I've had across the USA over the past 3 years. I've heard the family who owns the two businesses has recently passed it down, or a new family has recently taken over or something, but that is no excuse to treat customers extremely poorly. The machines here are gross, your items will likely be lost or damaged here, and you will definitely waste your money here.

The woman in the dry cleaning area was very helpful. The machines were fast and efficient. The prices seemed very fair, especially for a clean facility with staff present. My dog was impressed by the kindness of the clientele and how quiet it was. It was her first laundromat and she was relaxed--that should tell you how quiet and nice it is.

The machines looked clean and worked quickly. I was able to do what would take 4-6 hours at home in about 1.5 hours.
