Mandy Sweet Home - Dress

Mandy Sweet Home

Great communication, fast service and fair, up front pricing. Mandy was a pleasure to work with!read more

Mandy literally worked miracles for me the week before my wedding and I cannot recommend her enough…read moreI ordered a dress from an Etsy shop online (not Mandy) because I wanted something colorful and non traditional. I knew it was risky and the timeframe was really short and long story short it ended up being a bad choice - the dress I ordered was awful! With only one week before my wedding I rushed to Davids Bridal to try to find a dress off the rack. Obviously though, going to a bridal shop, non-traditional dresses are hard to come by and the best I could find was a cute ivory tea length, A-line dress. I really wanted something colorful and floral still so I found some floral tulle at JoAnne's and then searched for a local seamstress to see if anyone local could figure out something to do with my boring ivory dress, and in just a matter of days! Oh and the shoulders needed to be taken in as well!! Mandy was quick to respond, invited me to her home-based shop and said she could do it and would have it done by the next day!! It was even better than I expected! Like a whole new dress and fit like a glove!! I felt absolutely beautiful and received countless compliments! I highly recommend Mandy! Not only an excellent designer and seamstress, but also extremely kind and great to work with! Thank you Mandy for saving the day and making me feel so beautiful on my special day!!!!

I had such a great experience! Misty was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process and…read morecommunicated everything so clearly, which made it all stress-free. The timing was spot on, and she delivered exactly when promised. She altered and hemmed my bridesmaid dress, and it truly fit my body like a glove -- I couldn't have been happier with the result. You can tell she really cares about her work and her clients. Also, she has the cutest little dog, which just made the whole experience even better If you're considering using her, do it -- you won't look back! Reach out to her now!!! Don't waste your time searching for someone else.

I chose Ophelia Alterations & Gifts mainly because of her location which was closer to me than the others. I was not disappointed. A little background on my project. My father passed away several years ago. He was career Navy. I came across a collection of patches he had collected over his career of places he/we've been stationed, squadron and ships he'd served on. He wasn't one to patch his jackets (hence his collection) so I thought I'd take a few select and patch one of my own. A tribute to his service. I thought I could do it myself. A few needle punctures later I gave up. This is definitely a job for a professional. I was able to Velcro hook side the patches though. Which brought me to Misty of Ophelia Alterations & Gifts. She let me know via YELP message that she could do this project and the price sounded reasonable per patch so I decided to move forward. I wasn't sure because it seemed to me that most services I've found work with weddings, suits, dresses, etc. of the sort. And not being closer to a base or post where there are places off base that do it for sailor or soldier uniforms and jackets I was happy to hear she could work with me on this though not anything fancy or formal. I called her right away and she was able to take the coat and patches that day. I explained and showed her what I wanted and where. Despite working with other projects that I could see the turn around time was good and I didn't wait too long to get my jacket back. She did a wonderful job! Just FYI, she didn't actually sew the patches to the jacket, just the Velcro loop sides so I can remove and change patches if I want. Still, the jacket looks tight! And having a couple of other projects I've been chewing on for a tick, I'll definitely be using her services again in the future!

I've never been to a laundromat before, but I've seen them in movies …read more ...Idk if movies just make it look bad, or if Sequim makes it look good, but I am very pleased with this place! Lots of machines, lots of room, ATM, change machine, detergent vending machines, on-site attendant with more detergent and snacks for sale, carts, countertops, even little sitting areas including a TV, magazines, and chairs. It was so clean; the attendant never stopped flying around, wiping down counters, vacuuming the floors, and scrubbing chairs. Plus, the machine I chose was HUGE!! I was prepared to do 3 loads but it all fit in one. I was also prepared to be there for hours, but once again, I was happily blown away: 15 minutes in that turbo machine and my clothing was spic-and-span, and 36 minutes in the corresponding dryer was more than enough. The wash cost me $4.25 and the dryer was 25c/4minutes. There were other machines too but I don't know why you'd use them. I was dreading laundry day, but it was painless and I was practically giddy with excitement! Also, I believe they are open 7days/week but I don't remember the hours. Mostly 9am-10:30pm with the request that all loads begin before 9:30pm.

Time for laundry on the trip. This is a block from our…read morestay. Many machines and dryers 4.50 for a good load and 3.00 to dry it if no towels or levi pants. Staff on duty to assist with answers. No parking spots for this many washers
