Very aesthetically pleasing and cute spot for brunch. Our food was pretty mediocre and way too salty, plus for a place that's billed as a steakhouse, they claimed they did not have any steak sauce for the table. I'm not sure I believe that. My Nashville hot chicken sandwich was nothing like Nashville hot chicken. It wasn't bad, but the sauce wasn't hot and completely missed the mark on the correct flavor for that style of chicken. We had a great server, just overall this place isn't really anything exciting so I definitely don't think we'll be back, especially with all the different cuisines that B-town has to offer.

The shrimp burger is served with very crispy fries that they use a coarse salt sparingly on which is exactly how I like it. The arugula salad that is served with the muffaletta is every bit as good as the sandwich it comes with. The muffaletta itself is quite savory and very delicious. It is a little on the salty side so be prepared with plenty of water, but the flavor is well worth this small sacrifice. Their outdoor seating area is an absolute gem and we had a wonderful table here with a great view of trees and the pond nearby.

I like Golden Corral because, for their breakfast, they have an eggs to order station but, unfortunately, the entire time we were there, no one was manning that station. Scrambled eggs are on the buffet, but they are usually "bag eggs" -- not really scrambled in a skillet. They have grits which is a plus for me -- these had an odd taste and I suspect someone added sugar to the pot. The ham was very tasty. The biscuits were warm, but hard. Pancakes were great. Our server was wonderful, keeping our cups and glasses full. It was close to the lunch change over time, so there were plenty of food options. We would probably stop again when traveling, given the very limited breakfast options in Effingham.
