    Corn beef skillet hash.

Visited HV while picking up bikes at Pacific Cycle. The atmosphere and service was really good. The workers were very nice. Not sure what the rules are in IL but no one was wearing masks. I got the philly omelet and my girlfriend got the skillet hash. The omelet we good. It was smaller than I expected but good. The skillet hash was average. But the food was hot and the service was good. It's a good place to grab some food.

Four and a half, but since I didn't end up eating here, I'll bump it up. And why not a hands down five? Because the "spirits" side of the name is lacking. Luckily, they're building on next month and plan to expand that side of the business. The bar is currently tiny. I ordered the mango margarita, but they were out of mango and she used a mango substitute. I will mention that she didn't charge me for it in the end. And I ended with a regular margarita, which was good. They didn't have any IPAs on hand. They did have Sierra Nevada, which I would consider the closest thing that they had to a craft beer. The impressive thing here was the car theme and the cleanliness of the place. It was an old KFC building. They owner completely remodeled it, named it after her dad, and gave it the car theme. Love it! It's one of those places that I hope to see on a future episode of Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. Although I can't comment on the food, I looked over the menu and seen several items while I was there, and it all looked just as impressive as the cleanliness and decor. The menu items were even car themed!

I'm shocked there are no reviews for HV's on yelp yet? How can this be the first acknowledgement of a great sports bar and restaurant in Otown?? The decor is adorable! The menu is adequate. The prices are on the high end in Richland county. It I'd say the food quality is slightly better than the majority of offerings in the area. I ordered Caribbean dry rub wings and they were spicy without being overpowering - very good! Unfortunately, my mom's $19 medium rare ribeye arrived well done. She didn't eat it as it was too dry, so be very specific if you order beef, or stick to less expensive protein options. She did claim that the onion pie side was very good. Good luck HV's. We wish you success!

I would give them 10 stars if I could! The service was IMPECCABLE which seems so hard to find the days. Decor is perfect for content, and the food was delicious. I got a kids meal which still had great portion size and the wings are .80 on Wednesday evenings! I look forward to spending football season here :)

Country fried steak, scrambled eggs, hash browns and the best toast! I ordered an extra gravy for my hash browns.

Stopped in for breakfast for the first time. Everything I ordered came out perfect. They even burnt my toast exactly the way I wanted it. I will definitely be returning for breakfast again!

I was in Olney for a few days and stopped in. I was seriously surprised in the food for such a small town. It was .80¢ wing night so I sat at the bar and ordered a handful to start with their home made sauce. As I waited I noticed how well the whole staff worked together, they all seemed like a great team who must have been together for a long while, as they seemed to get along like family. When the wings arrived they were exceptionally good, meaty, cooked perfectly, and the sauce wasn't too hot to eat but still left my lips warm until my entree arrived. Amazing so far! I ordered the Rat Rod as it seemed different and I like different. Again, it was surprisingly good. For a little place in a little town, it's got to be the best around. The only regret I had was I was too full to try their Bread Pudding which is apparently their signature dessert.

Basic mediocre pub style food prepared & served sub-par. Unfortunately, on Monday night this is the best Olney has to offer.

We were just staying for a bit, but then decided to order an appetizer as we were enjoying the band and were going to stay for a while. We ordered the Captains Supreme Nachos, which barely passed itself off as food. First when we ordered it we were asked if we wanted ground beef or chicken on it. We ordered ground beef. when we got our nachos it smelled like something was on fire. As we looked, the paper in the dish that the chips were on was burned on all edges, and some of the chips were burned as well. Why and how could you burn nachos. These were just regular chips, with a dab of cheese, enough to only cover about 3 chips, and a teaspoon of ground beef on it. It was topped with jalapeno peppers that were so hot it was almost dangerous. These nachos had NO flavor. They were the worst nachos I've had in my life. I've had better nachos from a bag at a little league baseball game for $3. Almost more ridiculous was the fact that these "supreme" nachos cost $9.95 and they charged us $2 more for a teaspoon of ground beef. What a double rip-off. Bad food at a high price. Our bill was $20 for lousy nachos, one captain and coke, and a 7-up. The only reason we gave this place one star is for the nice location on the lake, and the good band that was playing that night. We don't like throwing our money away and leaving unsatisfied. We will NOT be coming here again.

She's been updated some but she's musty and fussy, like your dowager great aunt who wears too much floral perfume, annoying and stinky but you have to love her because she's been so generous and given so much to the whole family and community. Yes. The Holiday in Olney is like that. I've heard the rooms are outdated but clean - I can't assess that since I haven't been in one since the 80's. I do know the restaurant is pretty good - when I was a kid, the coffee shop is where all the local and state police would meet for coffee. It was a nice feeling to walk in and see familiar faces. I hope they still congregate there. There's a giant covered dome structure and it's a great place for large gatherings like class reunions. After several decades, the Holiday is serving alcohol again their former owner-turned-Christian stopped serving back in the 80s, too. (rip Ralph, you judgemental old fart!) I've heard that the pool is pretty rough. I walked by it and I think I'd take a pass. But old gal, you still have good bones, and like our childhood homes that we drive by when we visit, we're grateful you're still around.

Scanning the food places we picked this because it seemed to have decent ratings and a lot of reviews. Plus, you get go wrong with good ol' American cuisine. The first kind of hiccup is that they must have recently moved building. Though they moved right next to their existing building, there was no signage and we had to rely on our own eyeballs. Which almost led us into the wrong building. Not a bid deal, realistically, but it threw us for a loop. Getting inside, it was super clean. Long bar, plenty of tables, modern, many tvs for many sports. Plus, the building itself seemed rather large. A chonker of a building, if you ask me. Our hostess brought us into what seemed like the back 40 of the building and seated us next to a garage door that overlooked a cement pad that will one day be a cement pad with things on it. Not even mad. Saw a train. Here's the money shot. Have you ever been happy adjacent? Have you ever been right up to the edge, the precipice, the peak, then turn around and leave? That was kind of the ideal feeling here. The ambiance and service and general-ness of the entire place was spot on. The food itself looked top-tier. But it felt a click away from perfection. Let's look into it. As a hefty man (fat, not the garbage bag brand), I'm a man of appetizers. Also of wings. Therefore, sign me up for 12 bone in wings for an app. Split into three flavors: Carolina BBQ, Buffalo, and regular BBQ. They came out looking and smelling delicious. The sauce flavors hit hard. But I was a little let down with the dryness of the wings. I know sometimes it can be difficult to knock a wing out of the park because those damn things just want to get crispy. But I don't want to fight chewing the meat off the bone. It felt like a battle me and my mush mouth would lose. Now, from what I understood, all sides were a la cart. Color me fine with that, fatty will order anyways. Especially since I saw they offered street corn AND hushpuppies. So naturally, that's what I ordered. The hushpuppies came out and were the round kind. Which I am no stranger to. They had good flavor, good done-ness, but missed the mark on the size. If they were hush people, they would have been premies. A little sad they didn't get to experience their full potential. Now, for this part I will say I was forewarned. My server did mention the street corn came in a bowl and was served cold. I thought I was better than somebody who judged street corn by its temperature. I was wrong. It did come cold. And because of that, it was not tasty. Missed the mark completely. I did get a bonus side, your typical, run of the mill French fry. They came out and looked great. Meadiu
