An entire area dedicated to Pre de Provence lotions, lip balm, soap, body butter with coordinating mugs designed with wildflowers and bees giving off a warm spring vibe. There is also a collection from Thymes with all things lavender - bubble bath, hand lotion, soap body ash, hand creme, home fragrance and more. There are cutting boards and serving pieces, bowls, utensils and platters. The store is overflowing with flowers, vases, balloons, and the like, and the way to the counter isn't evident at first. But I did manage to find it and slapped my 75 simoleans on the counter and gave her the delivery info. This is a non-typical business, as they only accept cash or check. She showed up the next day (she wears all the hats, including delivery person) at the pre-arranged time with a beautiful arrangement. My wife loved it, which made both me and the flower lady very happy. A great experience. I'm a satisfied customer.

The upper lot did not have parking spots or was it paved as it seemed to be represented. It was gravel and NOT ADA compliant. The lower lot, which can't be found referenced online, is at the bottom of a HORRID rocky hill with no safety rail or any safety features that allow elderly or poorly abled people to climb up to the grassy, hilly venue without potential injury. Definitely not safe at all and someday someone will get hurt. ELDERLY AND POORLY ABLE PEOPLE WILL NOT DO WELL AT THIS VENUE AND IT DOES NOT TAKE THEM INTO CONSIDERATION. Next, the toilet facilities offered are indoor toilets that have wet floors, toilet paper dispensers that don't work, and paper towel dispensers that don't work. The onsite manager was told two days before the event that the TP dispenser did not work, but it still did not work the day of the wedding. Clearly, they are not capable of taking care of their property when issues need to be addressed. The only other choice were outhouses. Chairs provided by the venue we broken and set up for guests to use. When clean up time came around, the onsite manager did not have bags available to replace the bags in their trash cans. The only bags she has were small kitchen bags and had to send for more. Maybe trash bags onsite were not part of the $$$$price. Only two bags were allowed to be left at the venue and all other trash had to be taken off site. I would STRONGLY recommend you DO NOT USE this site for your event if you want your guests comfortable access, clean working facilities, good onsite customer service, and accurate, updated online information that provides your guests with the best possible experience available. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. This venue needs to step up their game and make it a safe place for all people.

I can't say enough good things about Cassandra. We had our wedding at the Mt. Hood Organic Farms…read moreon June 7, 2014 and it was a fairy tale wedding. :) From my first emails and phone calls with Cassandra, I could tell she was very experienced, very organized, and just a really nice person. She answered all my emails promptly, gave very good recommendations, and was very thorough. And her website has so much great information on it! We had just moved to Portland a few months ago, so I didn't have any friends I could get wedding vendor recommendations from, but Cassandra's ideas and recommendations made wedding planning very easy! We didn't have time to meet with Cassandra in person before our wedding, but we did have a great Skype meeting with her a couple weeks before the wedding to discuss the timeline, decor, etc. It was obvious that Cassandra could really envision what I was talking about and how I wanted the day to look/feel like. She gave good recommendations on how much dessert to order, where to place different decor and tables, where to display the cake, desserts, the band, the DJ, and the harpist. And she gave clear instructions on when/where to bring the drinks, the deserts, and the decor. We ended the meeting feeling very very confident that Cassandra would make our wedding wonderful. At the wedding rehearsal, I was so impressed at how great Cassandra was at explaining all the roles of the usher, the welcome table greeter, and the wedding party. My wedding party included 8 kids (ages 4-10) and I was worried that they wouldn't have the attention span to comprehend their "jobs". But Cassandra was so nice and patient with them. The kids were perfect the day of the wedding! On the day of the wedding, I organized my decor the best I could and had to hope that Cassandra would be able to carry out my vision. AND SHE DID! She executed everything better than anything I could do myself or even imagine! I had lawn games, a candy bar, lots of trinkets and goodies on each reception table, some activities on my welcome table, a dessert table, an ice cream table, a potato sack race, photo booth, chalkboard signs everywhere (btw, Cassandra has the BEST handwriting! haha), and a tandem bike display. Everything was perfect. The wedding felt fun, warm, loving, casual, and elegant-exactly what we hoped for. The day was magical. The groom and I never had to worry about a thing (and we had A LOT of vendors Cassandra had to coordinate). Cassandra kept everyone on the timeline and everything just seemed to flow effortlessly. My guests were all enjoying themselves and many said it was the best wedding they've ever been to! :) Cassandra is also SUPER thoughtful. I also had 3 dresses to change into....and instead of making me go all the way back to the cottage to change, Cassandra set up a makeshift dressing room (complete with a mirror and dress rack) for me to make quick dress changes in a back room of the Apple House. That was awesome! Our day wouldn't have been as magical without Cassandra!!

For starters Jami is beyond amazing, she is a fun, upbeat girl who knew how to take care of everything. She is super responsive to my messages and really flexible with times for letting me visit. (BTW her dogs are the cutest!) She was open to all my ideas and had great suggestions of her own. The property itself is gorgeous, warm and inviting. When I first walked in, I felt like you didn't have to add a thing and it would be a beautiful wedding. The property is beautifully landscaped with lots of adorable Pintrest-worthy touches (Welcome to the Wedding signs, ect). The view from the windows is jaw-dropping. I had a lot of family from around the country come for the wedding and everyone was really impressed with the natural beauty of the Gorge, and Maple Leaf really proudly showcased that. The venue is a fantastic mix of indoor/outdoor space: the indoor area is professionally designed to be flexible for all your needs; wall outlets everywhere, flexible space, great kitchen, and really nice bathrooms! Right out the doors is their patio area with romantic festival lights strung up. Our guests really enjoyed spending time on the patio when evening set in. The grassy lawn in the back is also fantastic, we used that space for a bunch of lawn games (that Jamie provided!) for our guests. Also included are two suites for the bridal party to get ready in, and that was A LIFESAVER. Plenty of room for all of us to prep the morning of, with a great kitchen for all our 'did you eat? eat something!!' snacks. I cannot recommend Maple Leaf Events enough!

My husband and I brought our families to Paul's DIY flower workshop the day before our wedding, and it was honestly one of the top highlights of the whole weekend. He has flowers on his farm I had never seen/heard of before! Paul is also just a wonderful person, and we loved spending the day with him. He taught us how to make beautiful flower arrangements and beamed happiness the entire time. He made the whole experience so fun and personal, and all of our guests were shocked that we had put together the flower arrangements ourselves because they looked so good! He really listened and helped me refine the colors and flowers to complement our PNW October wedding while weaving in details inspired by our home in San Francisco. The colors were vibrant and beautiful. I had asked for a fall palette but didn't want it to feel like Thanksgiving, and he absolutely nailed it. He found shades and blooms that complemented the overall theme without leaning too traditional. The dahlias were especially gorgeous. The day before the wedding, I brought 20 guests, ages 10 to 75, to the flower farm to assemble arrangements together. I was blown away by the quality of the flowers and the care Paul took to make sure everyone felt comfortable and confident. Every person who joined raved about the experience. It felt less like work and more like a meaningful and fun part of the wedding weekend. Guests loved telling others at the wedding which pieces they had helped create. The space was spacious and welcoming, and the entire experience felt special and seamless. I can't recommend Apple Core Farm enough. Anyone would be lucky to work with Paul.
