Kyoung Seo is without a doubt the most talented and skilled medical professional I've ever worked…read morewith. I've had several surgeries and injuries over the years, but I've never met anyone as attuned to the human body as she is. She leverages her strong physical therapy skills, her incredible acupuncture skills, and her keen intuition to help her patients improve. She is genuinely vested in each patient and truly does everything she can to make you better. I originally came to her for some nerve damage and neck issues, and on my first visit, she treated me for them and the assessed the rest of my body in her initial holistic approach to assessment. She gave my knee extra attention, which I wasn't consciously aware was not functioning properly. But she was so right! It had bothered me for so long, I just got used to it! Over the past ten months, she's helped also me with a hip, knee, back issues, and allergies. I would've never even thought it was possible to get help for some of these issues, but she's helped improve and, in some cases, eradicated my physical ailments. I now go to her periodically for maintenance. Plus she's very nice and extremely pleasant! If you have any physical issues, Kyoung is who you MUST see. She will be honest with her assessment and her ability to help. If you have ever considered Acupuncture, I highly recommend her. You will want acupuncture in your life after she demonstrates how life changing it can be! It is incredible what she does and the time and care she is invests in each of her patients.

Recovery is a process, but I have never felt such immediate improvement from any other practitioner (and if you have ever experienced debilitating chronic pain that experience can be euphoric). I have been to acupuncturists before, but they were not skilled in dry-needling like Kyoung. Other acupuncturists would stick a few needles in then leave the room...not Kyoung, she methodically tries to corner all the factors that may be contributing to the pain and then begins peeling them away. Such a gift to those who are suffering. You get a real sense Kyoung takes your improvement personally. She genuinely cares about her patients' well-being.

I'll admit it that i was just a tad bit skeptical about acupuncture in general and i had a lot of fun teasing my wife about it over the years, but i went to humor her. Imagine my surprise when the next day my elbow felt better than it had in years!!!! After a couple of more sessions it was 95% better. The worst part was that i had to eat some major crow and admit that my wife was right: Lisa is amazing. But the best part was what happened at the end of one of my sessions. Lisa casually asked me if there were any other lingering things that were bothering me. I told her that i had this annoying clogged duct in my eyelid that my ophthalmologist had determined was chronic and offered no solutions. Lisa thought for a moment and suggested that i try some dandelion tea. IT WORKED. Within just a few days it was nearly back to normal. unreal.

I was a patient of Avesta Ketamine and Wellness for over three years, and during that time, I paid…read moremore than $30,000 out of pocket. Initially, I wrote a Google review so positive they quoted me on their website. Unfortunately, as time moves on, things change, and so for the good of those seeking help, I've decided to update my review to reflect the current reality. Particularly over the last year, Avesta has sought to rapidly expand, and things have seemed to dramatically decline. Staff turnover became commonplace, and finding enough staff to service appointments seemed to become a struggle. Worse still, the care became very inconsistent. I started having a lot of problems with IV's not being properly done, or the NP not even being able to insert the IV catheter. It got to the point where I was actually afraid to go to my appointments. Each week I was essentially receiving an infusion from a stranger, some of whom were really not very good at their jobs. There were times I didn't feel safe when I had to go alone. Once, I pressed the emergency button, and nobody came. In order to have any impact on the underlying depression, mindset during a Ketamine infusion is critically important. I found more and more that my infusions stopped working. As existing problems continued and new problems arose, my concerns fell on deaf ears. I even contacted Ladan Eshkevari with the help of my therapist to try to explain concerns around my treatment at her clinics. She didn't seem to want to hear about any problems. Every time I tried to talk to her about it in person, she shut me down. As the problems continued, I became more disinclined to express concerns because she always became so defensive and combative when I did. My epiphany that care is less important than profit to Avesta came recently when I woke up very sick one morning. I was so ill I passed out and fell on the floor, with a horrible headace and vomiting. My husband insisted on immediately taking me to Urgent Care, but I was supposed to have an infusion appointment that day, so I texted "Dr." Eshkevari to let her know why I wouldn't be there. Her response was to insist that I still pay the full price of the treatment I didn't receive. Finally, I put the "Dr." in quotes when referring to Ladan Eshkevari because, while she does hold a PhD in physiology, she is not a medical doctor, and I feel like Avesta is sometimes a little misleading on that point.
