Slow, but worth the wait for an artistic, stylish cut. It's fun to hang out with the students.

I finally made it into Moler's Barber College after the many years I've lived in the East Bay. My hair is difficult to cut, with different growing patterns and barbers have difficulties getting my line straight. To say the least, it takes a skilled barber to handle my head of hair. I had my doubts, but I was welcomed into the building after finding a free parking spot. I paid my dues and a barber was recommended to me. I got more than I expected for my $7 bucks plus tip. I am very satisfied with the barber that was recommended to me. He took his time to get my cut just right, like a true professional. You can't beat Moler's, I got a quality haircut for cheap and I am helping students clock in their practice hours.

Great experience at Moler! Very easy, I walked in and paid; then my son got an hair cut, no wait! My son hates hair cuts and he had very pleasant experience with one of the students! And Better yet, his hair looked great!

Just stopped by to see my moms old stomping grounds. Amazing what you can earn with hard work.

DO NOT GO HERE! Cynthia is not a kind person. She is vindictive and disrespectful. The first time I…read morewent to her, she braided my hair and it was alright but I wanted it the way I'd shown her in pictures next time. The style I wanted was a long, wavy tree braid. She said no problem. The next time I went back she wasn't even there and her assistant did it. My hair was done even less the way I wanted even after showing pictures again but I figured the assistant was just less experienced. I kept returning because it was so hard to find an affordable braider in the area. The third and final time I went back Cynthia and the assistant were both there. I went over the style in detail AGAIN because I had my college senior photoshoot coming up that week. Cynthia said OK, we will have you looking beautiful. She then turns to her assistant and starts speaking to her in an African dialect I did not speak or understand. Her assistant then cuts all the hair I bought in half and starts braiding. Again, I assumed they knew what they were doing and said nothing. When we finished, the style was barely to my ears and just hideous. I was 22 years old and just smiled it off. I had never been in such a situation and didn't believe that someone would be so mean. Especially a grown, older Black woman and someone who was providing a service. I gaslight myself into thinking I explained the style wrong and the pictures didn't make sense. Obviously I never went back. A couple months later, Cynthia hits me up begging me to come back and states "I'm sorry, I'll do your hair how you want now!". Again, I had suspected she did my hair ugly on purpose but had never said anything and even pretended I was ok with the style. But that message confirmed everything. DO NOT GO HERE. Cynthia is malicious and doesn't listen to her clients. She also did not pay or underpaid her workers. She's a bully and it's no wonder her business never took off.

The class is very informative. The teacher is pleasant and very patient. She works with you and…read morecreates a friendly environment where there is no competition between students. Everyone is learning and she says even "she is learning from us" which i thought was quite awesome. Not only would I recommend this class to a friend but I would also retake the class to be a better, more neater braider.
