Now, I've known my stylist Mursla from her amazing customer service behind the desk--she's always been a pro at handling phone calls and making everyone feel welcome. But today, she took on the big task of transforming my hair, and let me tell you, she nailed it! Not only did I walk out with an incredible wash and blow-dry, but we also had the best conversations about kindness, culture, and all the things we have in common even though our backgrounds are different. I came in for a trim/shampoo/blow dry. After repeatedly being asked if I wanted to add a root touch-up, I paid and waited about 10-15 minutes. Then I was told everyone was at lunch and asked to return in 40 minutes. Since that wasn't possible, I called to request a refund for the service I never received. Understanding that refunds can take time to process, I waited a week before calling again when nothing had posted. After two more phone calls with no resolution, I came in person -- and have now been waiting over an hour while they "figure out" whether they still have my payment. It's disappointing to experience this level of disorganization and lack of accountability. I paid for a service that was never provided, and instead of correcting the issue promptly, they've made the process unnecessarily difficult. read more

It appears there is a different "teacher" at this school. I believe the one that was there before her name was Ms Tammy, She was very nice. We always got our hair done at this facility. When entering today, they told us that they were no longer doing haircuts there or they did not have any clippers. So we had to walk further down the street where they had a Barber college of the same name which I never knew about. It is up the street across from Wienerschintzel We received great service there but did not care for the person at the desk of the cosmetology college. Felt like we were brushed off. We now know where to get our haircuts but never knew about this change in operations. read more

The receptionist was sweet and professional. Quincy took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted and did nothing less. He was congenial when spoken to, but quiet and focused. I will definitely ask for them when I return. If you go, please keep in mind they are students and do not get paid; they live on tips. My regular hair dresser retired, so I needed to find a new one. I tried Moler College and I was pleasantly and profoundly surprised. When I walked in, my hair was about four different colors, it was uneven and basically a mess. I was assigned to an AMAZING and talented young lady names Crystal. What an amazing find! Crystal was able to assess my hair, fix the color(s) balance out the uneven hair cuts and give me one of the best hair experiences and service that I have ever had. Crystal took her time, always checking with me on the length, when it was time for the cut. She was so kind and and patient when it came to the rinse out and conditioning. Crystal is truly a gem, I could not have been luckier than to find someone so gifted. I was so pleasantly surprised in regards to this entire experience. The young lady that did the greeting and reception was wonderful. Finally Miss "P" the instructor/supervisor was incredible as well. In closing I could not have expected such a wonderful and professional job from start to finish, that a wonderful group of ladies. This was my first time coming here and I was skeptical because I understand these are students. While it did take Brenda a bit longer to do my nails, she is outstanding, personable, and extremely sweet. I don't usually talk to my nail technicians, but Brenda is easy to talk to. I LOVED how she answered all the questions I don't usually get to ask at Nail Salons due to the language barrier. She was phenomenal in explaining each step and each product used. Miss Elaina is the teacher and I'm cery impressed in how much she cares for her students. I noticed her raw passion and creativity reflecting in how hands-on she was with each student. While being extremely busy, she took the time to educate me on facials and nails, as well as providing me with her own personal supply of high quality nail polish and crystals from her car (due to the specific colors I wanted). After my request, she happily offered a brand new bottle of pink polish & chrome powder she had bought earlier that day. She truly goes above and beyond for clients and her students. It was refreshing seeing a teacher so passionate and helpful. The quality and brands of supplies they use here are the same as other Nail Salons. In case you are skeptical like I was! *** I only paid $13 (plus tip) for what would normally cost $60 ($35 full acrylic set + $10 for chrome + $5 for nail shape + $10 for crystals). I took my 8 yr old God Daughter to get a basic service wash, blow dry & two braids 3.5 hours later her hair was a god awful mess. I was also get my hair done as well 3.5 hours for a basic flat iron. We used to go to Avalon, but they are now permanently closed. I won't return to this school for service. The students gab to much, mask don't cover their noses. Awful experience. I ended up taking my GD to Bonheir African Braiding for 39.00 bucks and 30 min of my time. I don't mind the 3,5 hours if the service is completed read more

Thanks so much to Henry, a student barber at Moler. He immediately understood what I wanted, offered a few option (some of which I accepted) and really took charge if my haircut. He was meticulous, taking great care of all the little details that add up to a great job. He even took care of my unkempt besrd and trimmed my moustache to a fare-thee-well. Scheduled an appt for color and I even rushed over after work (5:30pm) was told that they could not service me because my appt needed 6 hours to complete. I get it, students are learning but why schedule me after 5:30pm when you need over 6 hours to complete my hair. Apparently they close at 10pm. Looks like a handful of ppl were just lounging around. **this review is for Moler on august 31, 2023** yesterday I went in to get my hair done. it was on the wrong day, I was a day early. nonetheless the experience of the encounter with the receptionist Paradise was terrible. she's very unfriendly, she talks like everything is a debate. the "floor" (where the students do their work plus salon services)was empty. there was three people present, including Paradise. it's been very few students there where six or less are there on the floor. mind you, it can hold at least 30 students. when the building was Maranello Beauty College it was a bustling friendly place, where the students did good work. now the students are not trained good, and the results are bad. you may ask then why did you make an appointment with them? that's because I have a lot of thick, natural 4c. I wanted somebody to do the hard part of detangling it as it was a bit matted. any help with the arduous chore of unmatting and detangling my hair is welcomed. **this review is for a appointment a few weeks ago.** Just arrived. Joe is a student and is following his passion and I'm so happy to support young men working hard to make dreams happen. I've been going to the Hayward beauty school for a while now this is my first time going since the reopen of this location this particular time since they reopen I thought I'd have chemicals put in my hair I requested curly perm only thing is the student did as instructor asked her she just rinse my chemicals out with the water you should never put any shampoo in my hair and I've had a gang of perms in my head I must always put shampoo in fact neutralizing shampoo to get it out so it all worked out curls were ok but I knew I'd come home and wash my hair n will never return to the school read more
