I have been a waxee of the "netherlands" for a few years and I watched some tutorials & read several articles about sugaring. I do have sensitive skin and although waxing took care of my ingrowns, it was a smidge harsh on my skin. After having a recommendation by my hair stylist and her Yelp's didn't lie, Juliette was a great choice for me! I had unplanned surgery & a vacation planned that did not seem to ever align with the allowed schedule, but I didn't give up. I finally booked my Brazilian & came in. I had a very basic understanding of sugaring but didn't know what to expect from it. It's definitely different in the sense that it seems to "tug" more when applied and when taken off, is in a different fashion than waxing. Understood, it's NOT waxing. Lol After a couple times, it was bearable and did not seem to flare up as much as past appointments. I was finished with a warm washcloth, "final inspection" and recommendations on after care. Juliette was very caring, professional, clean and considerate given the vulnerability to say the least, of the procedure. Good luck booking a wax service. Bad service all around! I called 3 times to book a leg wax and was told I would get a call. I didn't get a call so I went in to set up an appointment. At that time I was told the woman who did the waxing was available at 5:45pm (they close at 7) and she would call me to confirm my appointment. 2 hours before my appointment I still hadn't heard from her and sure enough when I called I was told she wasn't available now. Needless to say she lost my business. You can see by the way she responded to this with a "bye Felicia" this woman is a bad business woman and a piece of trash. (She did call me back, btw. I'm really pleased with the result! I went a few weeks ago and have waited to review until I was confident about the end result. I've got a professional wax a couple times before and usually wax myself. I've always heard that your hair will grow back thinner after waxing on a regular basis, but I've never experienced this personally. Sugaring has been completely different! The hair that has grown back along my bikini line is definitely thinner and less noticeable! I'm a swimmer and having a clean bikini line is important and I would definitely recommend sugaring over waxing after this!! I also really liked that sugaring is not hot unlike waxing. read more

Another 5 star review for Juliette! Working with Juliette you realize what a professional she is. It's weird to say, but she was BORN to do spray tanning! I debated using a machine but you do not get the TLC Juliette provides. In fact, I have had two other manual spray tans in my life and they didn't even come close! You are Juliette's work of art, and she puts you in all sorts of positions to make sure your tan comes out flawless! We first tried JoGlow the week before my wedding for a trial. At her prices, we could EASILY afford to do it twice and she hands-down deserved every penny. The tans looked so natural no one could even tell I had been sprayed--it's like everyone just forgot how white I previously was! I did not treat the first tan well because I wanted to experiment with it. I got a full body massage, exercised, and went swimming in a chlorine pool. It stayed intact for about 5 days nonetheless. The second tan helped me look amazing in my white wedding dress, though it did rub off on the dress when I started dancing like an idiot and sweating. Of course nobody noticed because they couldn't see, and by the end of the night who cares! I'm confident it'll come out with some drycleaning. FYI she recommends getting a tan 2 days before an event. The second day it's at its darkest, so the following day is most natural. I'm so glad we found Juliette! read more

I came across Juliette looking for an alternative to waxing which was not working well for me with a lot of hair breakage growing back too quickly. She treated me with kindness even though I was a bit late getting lost. ( She is at South end of E st) But, she still managed to accommodate me. I found her to be very professional and I felt at ease with her immediately which is so important when getting a Brazilian! She was efficient yet very thorough. Juliette is a very skilled aesthetician and "waxologist," and she pays great attention to detail. I regularly receive an "extended bikini" wax from her, and it's amazing. I have been to many, many salons, and I'm quite picky (it's a sensitive area!). Juliette gives me the best wax. Period. Waxing is painful if the technician doesn't pull correctly, and Juliette has a great pull, so the pain is minimal. She also provides great at-home skincare tips to make sure my skin is healthy in between visits. I highly, highly recommend her! P.S. I've also received a full Brazilian from her, and it was great. I went through the sugaring Brazilian and it was much easier compared to my first time at a nail spa. She has done a large number of men so there's no awkwardness and she is a complete professional (even though it was awkward for me since it was my second time getting a Brazilian). She has a fan going to keep you cool from the process along with some soothing music playing and if that doesn't help she is funny to talk to (Although, I kept calm and quiet most of the time)! This review is long overdue: Juliette is absolutely amazing! My wedding was in July and we decided on two sessions, first to try it out and second to make sure it was fresh for the wedding day. I have never applied spray on tan and I was to say the least very, very nervous. I am incredibly pale and was terrified of looking orange. We set up a session at my house, and she arrived on time with all of her gear. She provided me with everything I could have needed and made me feel super comfortable. The second session was done at the Makeup Gourmet studio in San Francisco. Each time Juliette was professional, precise, and most importantly delivered an amazing product. My tan was even and perfect for my skin tone. My only advice is moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! She will tell you that, and for goodness sakes, listen! My wedding day was lovely and my strapless dress showed off my newly bronzed skin. Following the wedding, she asked to use wedding pictures for her Facebook and website and has been nothing but sweet. This was my first time tinting my eyebrows and getting my bikini waxed. Both were done very professionally. If I had any other frame of reference I would probably give her a 5/5. She listened to what I wanted and did a great job. My eyebrows look good. I'm a platinum blonde so dark eyebrows would look silly on me. She used the brown dye and only dyed my hair, not the skin below. As for my bikini wax, it was quick and painless. She even took a little more off than the usual bikini wax because I wanted it.
