Tacos de Lengua y carne asada

Cute lil spot for a carne asada taco with grilled onions and jalapeños. Friendly staff Warm for pita for a breezy night

We ordered the chile verde chilaquiles with chorizo and egg. I hate when they are soggy, but these have a nice crunch. The portions are great. You definitely get what you pay for. The Al pastor torta has a sweet pineapple flavor that makes it so good. I also enjoyed the green avocado salsa. Watermelon agua fresca was made to order and refreshing. I highly recommend trying this place.!!! They accept Cash and Zelle

Taco spot is good. Tortillas echas a mano. Asada and al pastor was on spot. Plate comes with tacos and sautéed onions. Delicious!

We came here today for lunch. This location is off of Cottle next to Marshalls…read more The inside is pretty small with about 4 tables for inside dining. We checked out the menu and then placed our order. The manager waited on us, and he was very nice. My husband ordered the Mighty Med salad, a kombucha, and a nutty bowl. I ordered the Power Panini with chicken and multi-grain bread and a green tea. Luckily, we got there when it wasn't busy, so all tables were available. Our food was brought out to us in a bag, which I thought was weird since we were dining in. My sandwich was hot and very delicious. The chicken was very tender and not dry at all. My green tea was iced cold and refreshing. My husband enjoyed his salad but thought the beef texture was off and tasted old. He said he wouldn't order it again. But the salad part was very good and fresh. He enjoyed his kombucha. He thought the nutty açaí bowl was just okay and didn't taste any peanut butter. We think they forgot to add it. I didn't like the nutty açaí bowl. I didn't care for the flavor. I prefer the açaí bowls at Palmetto Superfoods. I'd probably come back for the sandwich but nothing else.

I ordered the Power Panini, which is a chicken sandwich with pesto, mozzarella, greens, and roasted tomatoes on multigrain wheat bread. Wow was it good. I loved everything about it, including the bread. It was pretty big, too. I asked the cashier if I could get plain apple juice, which wasn't on the menu, and she offered to make a fresh squeezed drink or one from store bought apple juice. I went with store bought and it tasted great. My sister had The Incredibowl, which is organic açaí, different kinds of fruit, granola, almond butter and milk, and honey. She seemed to enjoy it at first and then pushed it away when she got about halfway through. Not sure what happened. The cafe is small and cozy with just a few tables inside and a few more outside. We were the only customers inside, which was nice. The staff was quick to make our food and friendly. I also want to mention they had the best '70s music playing softly overhead. I'll definitely be back for another Power Panini.

Uniqueness: Mexican-Middle Eastern Mix, what?? Wait Time:…read more [x][x][x][x][ ] Food Quality: [x][x][x][x][x] Service: [x][x][x][x][x] Setting: [x][x][x][x][ ] Cost: [x][x][x][x][ ] Recommendation? Definitely get their chicken kebab plate and Birria tacos! I've seen this place around for years taking over the old Jack in the Box on Cottle, expecting this place to be mediocre at best but after finally trying it out for years, I definitely changed my mind about Asi's! Asi is literally the first Mexican-Middle Eastern place that I've been where you have your typical tacos, burritos, and soups but as well as kebabs, hummus, and etc that you'd never expect to intertwine but surprisingly, they mixed together perfectly. You get all of the great flavors in each culture together in a blend of colors and flavors that compliment each other and we got the chicken kebab, the 3 birria tacos, fish tacos, and the pazole verde. The soup was massive for 1 person to eat but defintely what you'd expect for pazole, the birria were 3 mini tacos but were perfect as well, fish tacos were decent and a little dry, and the chicken kebab was perfectly grilled and flavorful. Wait time here can be busy which was also surprising to me and was around 10 minute for everything to come out. All the staff were very friendly and the price point here I have to say is average, not cheap but not a rip off neither. The first Mexican-Middle Eastern place I've been to, Asi's has gone beyond my expectation and served excellent food here. Come here for lunch or dinner and you'll be leaving with a great filling meal, I'll be back for more!

We especially loved: The chips {5/5} - Half fried-pita, half tortilla served with hummus and salsa verde. Baby-bear inhaled it so I had to get the bottomless version. We loved the fried pita the most. The Beef Shawarma Wrap {6/5} - not a typo. So unique and so tasty. It's like if a pita wrap and a burrito had a baby. lol The Al Pastor Chicken Kabob {4/5} - the chargrilled vegetables was so good. The cilantro rice was so tasty and fluffy. Chicken was good too - I just wish there was more of it... This unique family-owned and run restaurant is a gem. It's definitely coming into regular rotation.
