Moku is solid! Affordable, family friendly sushi exists here. So it's truly a win all the way around. We've always dined at a table, never the sushi bar at this location so can't speak to that but have always had prompt, friendly service and fresh fish. As is my style and preference, they also have rice less rolls. My jam! The place kinda feels like a night club. The lighting is moody and kinda 90's. It's conveniently situated right off Sunset not too far off of PCH in a strip mall. Have never had a bad piece of sushi here.

Best Happy Hour in town on Mondays! 3-8 pm. Half off 8 different rolls and 4 salads. Sapporo on draft for $5. The sushi here is tasty and made fresh to order. Parking is free but lot is a tight fit, be careful. Full menu of sushi and lots of non-sushi options also. Staff always friendly and helpful, even when it is busy and they are running around.

Chef's Specials - Moku Sushi - Pacific Palisades, October 2023

Dined here last week and thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience from start to finish! I was pleasantly surprised to see the budget friendly happy hour menu and ecstatic to discover the fish was fresh and flavorful, too. I ordered the Crunchy Spicy Tuna Roll and the oh-so-delicious Salmon Truffle Nigiri. The spicy tuna was on happy hour yet filling. The Salmon Truffle Nigiri definitely stole the show. My friendly and informative server, Bella, let me know the salmon would be served lightly seared and that the truffle flavor is definitely present; she was so right in all the best ways! Not only was the salmon seared but it was also drizzled with yuzu shoyu and came with kizami wasabi and of course the wonderfully delicious black truffle. Seriously, melt in your mouth amazing. I also got a California roll which was pretty standard (and on happy hour). Like I said before, the Salmon Truffle Nigiri is so worth it. It was fairly quiet during the early evening time I was there but the ambiance would be great for a casual lunch or date night. Overall, I definitely recommend Moku Sushi and I know I'll be back soon!

Kendrick rice

LA native POV. I say this by saying I've had cheaper and good fried rice HOWEVER, this spot is awesome! The Kendrick rice , I thought was going to be gimmicky. But that steak medium rare cooked WAS AMAZING. Oh my god. It melted in your mouth! It was so good!!!! The waiter was so nice and it was soooo chillllll. The environment was quiet if you want to dine alone. 10/10

Came in for Monday Happy Hour (which goes until 8pm) and was surprised to see how busy it was. People in the neighborhood have caught on. 1/2 price for about 7 different rolls. 2 bucks off beer/wine and a few dollars off some of the fancy rolls and appetizers. Sushi was very good -- we liked the rolls and also the one special roll we got (Spicy Tuna over crispy rice with eel sauce). Only 4 pieces which wasn't a great deal for the price compared to the rest of the happy hour menu. Lesson learned - -stick with the 50% off ones next time! Warning: This parking lot is VERY narrow so be careful getting in and out -- easy to bang into cars or other moving objects.

Best and only fine sushi/thai restaurant in the Palisades. Great staff. Outstanding fish. And they serve Einstök beer on draft. Wow!

Always excellent. Tasty food, attentive service, and Palisades feel. Happy to be able to return after the loss of our home.

From the moment we sat down, everything was just perfect. The sushi was absolutely outstanding -- fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The sauces were on another level, perfectly complementing every single bite. Everything we ordered was delicious, and you can tell real care goes into every dish coming out of that kitchen. The ambiance was really lovely too -- warm, comfortable, and inviting. The kind of place where you just settle in and feel good being there. It made the whole evening that much more enjoyable for the whole family. Now here's what made this visit truly special -- there was a robot server delivering sushi right to the table! My 2-year-old was completely glued to it -- wide eyes, the biggest smile, entertained the entire meal. As any parent knows, keeping a toddler happy at a restaurant is half the battle, and Mikomi made that effortless and fun. The human staff were also incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel genuinely welcomed the whole time. If you want top-tier sushi and a dining experience that's fun for the whole family, Mikomi Sushi is an absolute must. We will definitely be back! P.S. -- My wife loved it so much that she visited twice on her own while I was at work. I think that says everything you need to know.

It is beautifully paced, perfectly portioned, and thoughtfully prepared. The service is exceptional. They consistently bring everything out promptly, and they always remember the small details, like bringing me extra ginger without having to ask. It's efficient without ever feeling rushed. One of my favorite things to do is swap the crab hand roll for scallops, in my opinion, the scallops are the standout and absolutely worth the substitution. They're delicate, buttery, and perfectly balanced with the warm rice. Also, the sauce from the first tuna appetizer is so good that I intentionally save it to dip other pieces in throughout the meal. It elevates everything. Every visit feels seamless, delicious, and reliable. It's simple, high quality sushi done exceptionally well. I will always come here for sushi when I can and love it every time.

It involves a sashimi course, seven orders of nigiri and two hand rolls. So the reason they call it the don't think, just eat is that they rush you through the whole process. Everything came out within 40 minutes. I barely had time to take photos and eat before they were back asking for my plate. And some of the sushi did not taste right. It was a little fishy and slimey. I've done omakase and sushi before and this was not the best quality. I wouldn't say we were full because it was good but because they were making you eat so quickly. I wasn't sure if they were just caring more about turning tables until I saw a couple drinking a single bottle of wine the entire time were were being rushed. So maybe it was just this specific course they don't want you to pace yourself. I heard great things so I'm just disappointed.

This was our second time coming here, and very glad we did! It's a hidden gem in Santa Monica…read more They have all day happy hour on Sunday and Mondays. Which is what brought us in both times. It's a small place, but the energy is always good. The first time we had an energetic and friendly hostess. This time we had a server named Cami (hope I spelled it right). And she was super bubbly and really on top of serving us. It was a busy Mother's Day and everything happened quickly. The food quality is really good. It's an expensive place to eat off happy hour. But I could tell the difference in even the edamame. The seated mackerel is my go to because it's super fun. The sashimi looked amazing though I didn't get any. The decor inside is nice. Ambiance is good. We'll definitely be back. And maybe one night it'll be for a nice dinner, not happy hour. But again, expensive so that's a consideration.
