The have other food menu items as well like the shakes and my dads a picky eater, he got a turkey burger and wanted another to take home which was shocking cause he never goes for items like that. The nuggets were a good choice for my neice when we bring her here, way way healthier than fast food nuggets. Mom likes the teriyaki wrap which ive had before and it's bomb. With the ever changing climate of food, somehow In N Out doesn't taste the same as it used to. Mojo has remained consistent, and I love that they serve grass fed beef. Their burgers are satisfying, their shake consistency is smooth yet thick, the fries are also the right texture and not overly salty. So addicting! Service has also been consistently top notch. I stopped here for some takeout recently and really enjoyed my meal. I had a standard single burger with all the toppings except onions. The meat was cooked well. I loved that you have a lot of options for toppings and condiments for your burger. I also liked that I can choose how my burger is cooked. I chose medium rare with lettuce, tomato, pickles grilled onions with ketchup and mustard. I also ordered the onion rings. The burger was ready in less than 10 minutes. It was fresh and tasty. The meat was very juicy and the vegetables were so fresh. The onion rings were piping hot and crispy and they gave a generous portion. Overall, the food was good, but pricey. I also ordered a small drink and my total bill was $19.96. I do feel that they used fresh ingredients and good quality beef. I would come here again and would like to try the chicken sandwich. Written by my middle school daughter after our first Mojo visit: 10/10 recommend Mojo Burger. I love how everyone was so inviting and kind at the front desk, they made me feel really welcome when I walked into their restaurant. I think it is really cute how they are family owned and how they plastered the whole Mojo story on the wall so that you can look at it while you wait for your food. And the best thing about my experience with Mojo Burgers was their actual burgers. I will tell you that it was the best burger I have ever had. The patty tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly. I also love that they added toasted fluffy buns, lettuce, tomato, and a sauce that was in all ways perfect. I also got the beer battered onion rings and they were juicy, fresh, big, and didn't have too thick of an outer layer that I quickly ate. So we went back today so I could actually try the food, I had a classic with guac and swiss. Very heavy handed with the guac, it was way too much, but the burger was good. The onion rings were fantastic, beer battered and fried perfectly. It's so super loud in there though I could barely hear anything. We brought my diabetic alert service dog with us, this time (Last time she was getting groomed) she only had her collar tag on so they asked us when she came in if she was a service animal, and she is, but she's still being trained on her out in public stuff, So the flooring scared her cause she's not been on that floor before (weirdo lol) But after a few minutes she was handling it like a champ and spent the meal next to me , pretty much under the table being a very good girl. I bring this up because on the way out of the restaurant, a gentleman who works there told us not to bring her in again without a vest on. The ADA does not require this. She did not make one single sound, or pay attention to anything but staying where she could do her job, neither did she make a mess, beg for food or in anyway deviate from her job. The ONLY thing she refused to do, was settle on the floor because it was new floor and she is still learning. She did sit and she did not wander at all. I used to frequent this place when it was in the other location on Bird. Have been going to this newer place for a while and noticed the menu changing alot. How have I never heard of MOJO Burger before?!?!? The wife and I had gone to Zanatto's to get some Italian groceries and I was hungry for lunch. We saw MOJO burger and the signs that said grass fed beef and organic shakes so we decided to check it out. The wife got a burger combo and I got the Western Bacon Burger. After a few minutes our burgers arrived and we dug in. The burgers were nice and charred and tasty but it was the fries that really got our attention. Super crispy on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside. I ended up buying a chocolate shake and it was pretty much perfect. There is only one way to make a chocolate shake and that is by starting out with vanilla ice cream and adding chocolate syrup to it. Anyone that makes a chocolate shake with chocolate ice cream doesn't know what they're doing. I'm happy to say that MOJO makes shakes the right way and they're delicious. While waiting for our food we read the MOJO burger story on a sign on the wall. Funny enough the owners, whos picture is on the wall, (husband and wife), were working there. I told them we enjoyed the food and they seemed appreciative. Prices are a tad high here but I guess you're paying for the grass fed beef and all that. School of Walk Walk From Home Challenge 5/10 Round-trip distance: ±3.5-miles (5.6km) Mojo Burger (MB) opened their first location on Bird Ave in 2003, and is the brainchild of McDonald's Hamburger University graduate, and avid surfer, Peter Favre (aka Mr. Mojo). This locally-owned, family-run burger joint was consistently named one of the Silicon Valley's "Best" burger joints by local publications. At one time they had three brick-and-mortar locations including the aforementioned OG, South SJ on Snell and this one. They also had a two counters located at SJC and another at SJSU--as well as a food trailer that they would take to outdoor events. This Foxworthy location is now the last of the Mohicans, so to speak. Are they victims of growing too big too fast? I can't really say, but I do know they serve up a pretty decent burger. The Good: *Fries have changed over the years but I must say this new variation is really quite good as they have some kind of seasoning on there that creates a crunchy, tasty bite. *Strauss Organic real ice cream shakes are always a winner here. *The A-1/Worcester sauce that comes with the mushroom-Swiss burger is frggin' fantastic. Totally wasn't expecting it but it really gave the burger a nice umami flavor to go along with the beef and mushrooms. *Outdoor covid-friendly dining area *Maybe once-a-month or so a bunch of old-timers in the area bring their classic cars here for a mini-show. The Meh: *They seem to only cook their 100% grass-fed Angus burgers one-way and they come out kinda dry. Grass-fed beef is already leaner than normal beef so cooking it to standard temps results in a dry burger. However, with that said, it was still tasty and the aforementioned sauce really helped keep it juicy. The Ugly: *Seems like every order is packed to-go regardless of dining in or out status. Burger 5.00/5.00 Spoilers -- Mojo Burger is hands-down the best burger I've had in the SF Bay Area, and only second to my all-time favorite which is in the Denver Area. I literally have nothing bad to say about it; everything is just about perfect. The bun is perfectly lightly toasted, and it flattens out but keeps its integrity so I can fully mouth my burger without it dissipating or going too flat. The lettuce is shredded, crisp, and fresh. The tomato-the right thickness and right amount (one good slice is all I need; two and it's almost too much). The ketchup is present and textured without being too little or too much, and dispersed evenly, without getting absorbed by the bun. The bacon is not exactly perfect, but it is near-perfect -- crispy and a tiny fatty, deep-colored, and decently thick. Maaaybe I would have it slightly thicker and slightly crisper on its edges, but I'm being nitpicky here. I almost feel like I have no words for how good the meat and cheese were. The meat patties were bursting with flavor but weren't overpowering or heavy, and it was just the right amount of thickness and was perfectly cooked. The thick cheese has that old-school greasy flavor that was perfectly melty and meshed into the meat. I felt like I had a burger-gasm eating it. It was so good, it made me want to cry tears of joy ecstasy. I've been here several times and it's always been consistent. I think I've said all I needed to say. Fries 5.00/5.00 Spoilers -- Mojo Burger fries are hands-down the best fries I've ever had, and not only are they so good, but they're unique too. That mouthfeel is amazing. They are the perfect thickness -- not too thick, not too thin. It has that golden ratio of outside crispiness to inside soft but textured almost like mashed parts. Speaking of golden, the fries have perfect color and are perfectly cooked, and the flavor is so good that it doesn't even need salt. If there is salt, it's so well-integrated that I can't see it or know it's there. Soda 4.25/5.00 They don't have my favorite soda, Dr Pepper :( But at least they have Coke and not Pepsi (and Barq's Root Beer is also an option). It was syrup-y and carbonate-y, but not too much. Just a normal fountain machine so I was glad to not see a Coke Freestyle one. It looks like it got a fresh paint job, but with a weird pastel but bright blue and teal, totally mismatching the brick-colored floor. They have some outdoor seating so I always end up there.
