Definitely honest cooked like your Italian grandma would have made. Not too saucy but just right. The also had cannoli which we picked up the pistachio Rene and chocolate ones. Crispy, flaky, and delicious. Lots of Barilla pasta boxes on the walls for decoration. There was an old, senile man there that was shouting randomly and probably with dementia. He definitely wasn't aware of his surroundings. The restaurant took care of him and have him a drink and a table. I really appreciated that a lot. It shows they are caring people and that's the kind of business I want to support. Thank you

The grocery section has jarred foods and sauces, dry pastas, grains, fresh produce, bread. There is a reach in freezer with cups of Gelato ice cream from a local company called Gelupo. I had the Sour Cherry Riccotta and the Bitter Chocolate. Both were to die for. Chocolate will never be the same for me again after this cup. I will have dreams with it for years to come. They sell chocolate bars as well. The Rococco ones are made in London. Perfect small gift to bring home with you. There are about 10 tables outside plus few benches and picnic tables across the street. There is a wonderful community garden also across the street with additional seating and lovely shaded areas to relax in. Italo offers free WiFi for it's customers, by the way. Ask for the code or look for it in chalk on the walls. I believe they open around 11am and close around 6 or 7pm but it really depends on the volume of sales for the day. Wonderful place with wonderful people. We enjoyed our time spent here very much. Thank you Italo.

If you want anything beyond a main, you'll be paying more than 6. The food is solid - pastas and salads nice, sandwiches better than what you'll get out of a Tesco pack or up the road at Henri's. The desserts are excellent, as well. Be prepared for a sugar crash after lunch, of course, but so worth it. Regarding service, think good cop, bad cop. Usually one really nice guy working, and one grump who takes some massaging. If you're in a bad mood, these guys typically won't make it any better, and you may want to take a pass on the place. If you're in a good mood, this is a great spot for lunch. Coffe is crap - don't bother. There's no genuinely good coffee in Oval area, so just get a Nespresso for the office and stop trying to find it at indy places like this. Finally, don't forget that this place is pretty pricey for a lunch spot. Big portions, good taste, but expensive.

The store its-self is quite large, much larger than most LittleWaitrose stores I've seen in the past, including ones local to my home such as Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Spinningfields, this store is in a way similar to a foreign style supermarket in terms of size, bigger than a convenience store, but smaller than an average supermarket. The stock range was OK - range of most item was small such as gluten-free and ready to eat food, perhaps this was because of the time of night I visited or the fact they are trying to offer a small amount of more things, such as having a selection of sandwiches and a selection of other snacks rather than a larger selection of sandwiches. They even had a sushi bar in the store, and with all due respect, I honestly don't know if it is needed in a store of its' size and the nature of the store. They also didn't sell Coca-Cola Zero, which I wanted to buy as I had a voucher which expires soon. The staff didn't seem as friendly as other Waitrose stores, they were just okay. There is a Little Waitrose & Tesco Express- both would be considered more of convenient store markets. But, this Sainsbury's location is what you'd actually call a real grocery store. AND I LOVED IT!! This location is brightly lit with the 24 Bus stop right in front. A very good size. As you enter- there's a cash machine (ATM) to the left and the hot food department to the right. This is where you can buy the baked chickens and even create your own pizzas!! This section is also where you'll find the Grab & Go meals. Grab & Go is very popular here in London. You can pick from varieties of chips/ juices, waters, sodas/ and sandwiches or pasties (empanadas). As you continue walking into the store- the magazine section to the left. Self check out tills to the right and beyond that- regular cash registers. Either way, if you're paying with a U.S. card with a chip- you'll most likely need an employee to print out the the receipt for you to sign. Continue walking and you'll have the fresh produce section. Then past this- the freezer & refrigerated aisles. We stopped by these aisles tons of times! We took advantage of their microwaveable meals. I was a big fan of the Steak & Mash combo. The meat chunks were very tender, the stew was tasty and thick. The Mash was creamy & buttery. Another microwaveable meal I enjoyed was the spaghetti carbonara!! Did not disappoint!! We bought slices of cold cuts, Baby Bel cheese wheels, & chive crackers for snacky snacks. There's a huge selection of wines, beers, & hard liquors. Heck, we even bought Modelo! Everyday besides Sunday (closes 5pm) this Pimlico location closes at 11pm. Staff is really nice and I think there's underground parking....
