So I picked a time slot and made an appointment. Got a call later that day that "the schedule on the website isn't real, you need to call us back." That's good to know and thanks for notifying me, but if you are so incompetent (or cynical) that you know beforehand you have a faulty website with your name on it and you don't fix it, I'm not going to take a chance scheduling my *MEDICAL CARE* with you. Thanks but no thanks. Didn't bother calling back. But that's not the end of it. Woman calls me again the day before my fake "appointment" and leaves a message and says, "I tried leaving you multiple messages. You need to call me back and reschedule." Multiple messages? No you didn't, but if you can't take a hint, now I'm ticked off enough to shoot an email back. I type it up and send to the address on the website. THE EMAIL ADDRESS BOUNCED. Now I'm pissed enough to call and tell you what I think. I call and I go through my complaints and she has the gall to respond, "We have nothing to do with that website." The one with your (expletive) name on it? (I said the expletive on the phone) So, based on my experience with this office, they are either incompetent or cynical or perhaps both, but I take this as a warning sign to stay away so I will.

Last but not least I met with Denise in the Financial department she took the time to explain my insurance benefit details she was very knowledgable and made me understand my insurance coverage ,she also gave me my estimated costs upfront. I have been a nurse for 3 years and I know working with a high volume of patients especially in a sensitive matter is not easy. I had been under the care of several urologists in the Denison to Dallas areas over those years including one well known Uro-Gynecologist in the Plano, TX. . Absolutely no one had been able to help me... EXCEPT for Dr Tart here in Sugar Land, TX. She was an absolute Godsend to me! It has taken a little time but I finally am having LASTING relief from those nerve wracking and uncomfortable UTI's which were wearing me down. Love them both. The exams were quick & they made me feel very comfortable. I definitely prefer this practice over the OB/Gyns who cater to pregnant women, no cancelled appointments because a patient went into labor!

From 2022-2024 I had some of the most unpleasant experiences with not only my previous doctor, but…read morethe nurse as well. I was having problems due to heavy bleeding and fibroids and the previous Doctor pretty much made it sound like it was no big deal and was not proactive at all with treatment etc.. between his arrogance and the nurses' completely awful attitude I was thinking of leaving. Fortunately, I decided to stay when he retired & Dr. Spoo took over .. since April 2024, she and her team have been nothing but amazing. At out first appt, she immediately mentioned my fibroids and enlarged uterus and sprung into action before things got really bad (and they were definitely getting to that point) . She recommended follow ups/ultrasounds to continue measuring my enlarged uterus and growing fibroids ,as well ,as checking on the bleeding issues with bloodwork. At one follow-up we discussed options and she explained we could try to remove or shrink them but do to the amount and current size they could possibly come back and do this again .. At the time, I was hesitant and she was understanding with my decision. She said that we need to continue to monitor everything. When I came in due to immense pain and bleeding in September, I was given another ultrasound and Dr Spoo explained that the fibroids had grown a lot since the last visit and that's what was causing my pain and bleeding issues.. By now My uterus had ballooned out to 3x the normal size in a short amount of time (less than 3 months) and she explained that the next option would be a partial laparoscopic hysterectomy . She was very professional and very detailed in her explanations. As nervous as I was to do such a big surgery, I could tell that she knew this was what needed to happen at this point. She was never rude and she never sugarcoated anything. She was just to the point. I wasn't planning on having any more children (already have my 2 wonderful boys) and will be 46 soon so I agreed to do it. That afternoon, I received a call from the nurse to schedule my preop appointment.. And I will NOT blame her for 'not doing anything sooner' I take full responsibility for my decisions.. she came in the day after my surgery, checked on me and made sure I was feeling all right and everything was where it needed to be after the surgery. Bottom line, Dr. Spoo saved my life. She has been the first female doctor I have ever had and having a person who actually understands my body from personal experience has been wonderful. Plus, my surgery was extremely difficult and took an extra hour and a half due to the size of the fibroids/uterus.. AND.. she did all of this while being pregnant herself! Coming from such a horrible experience from the previous doctor and nurses to such an professional doctor, I feel very blessed .

The receptionist checked me in, gave me my paperwork and a cup for a urine sample. She said, if you can and need to go, please give a urine sample. I didn't know that they were going to ask for that, so I didn't need to go. At no time did they make me feel like it was something that I HAD to do. As soon as the receptionist made a copy of my DL and insurance card, she pointed me to the waiting room to have a seat, fill out my paperwork and wait to be called. I didn't even have time to complete my paperwork before I was called back. So, the waiting time wasn't very long at all. An assistant called me to a side room to collect my medical history and add my history to the computer. She also took my vitals, height and weight. She was also very nice. After she finished she escorted me to an exam room and told me that the doctor would be in soon. I'm used to waiting some time before the doctor arrives, but it wasn't that long at all. Other than that, I'd recommend this office.
