I was looking for Adult Driving Lessons and this place SCAMMED me…read more Maybe it's different for kids looking to take driving lessons but I doubt it because I was in the car when they tried to convince a parent to have their daughter take lessons with another auto school that both the parent AND the instructor I was with seemed very aware was run by someone who on multiple occasions was accused of inappropriate physical contact, something I was able to confirm myself very easily with google. I signed up for a 10 hour lesson program, which was not inexpensive, after being advertised that the scheduling would be able to be done at my discretion, that was never the case. The duration and timing of the lessons was always changing. During these lessons they taught me nothing besides the specific criteria for the driving test: cruising around, backing up, parallel parking, and that was it. No attempts to build confidence, no attempts to go out into the highway, and sometimes the instructor even had his hand on the steering wheel the entire lesson. After my 10 hours we were supposed to assess my progress together before continuing, I even had plans to take the driving test without their sponsorship (because they operate their tests out of a completely different town and DMV from where they teach) but instead they scheduled me for the test WITHOUT my consent and then wanted to charge me MORE MONEY to take it with them after misleading me that this was all part of the package I had already paid for. After failing the test they offered no additional feedback besides saying I was "nervous" and have never attempted contact again. Very dissatisfied with the lessons that I was given and very dissatisfied with the lack of communication surrounding the entire process. I hope it's different for younger learners but I somehow doubt that very much. But if you are an adult looking for driving lessons you'd be better off looking elsewhere. I feel they just took my money for everything and gave me nothing. Total Scam.

They are the worst driving school around here. The instructor never told me that I would need…read moreadditional classes to pass; in fact, he assured me that I would pass just fine. However, when I took the driving test, he blamed me for choosing not to take another class, even though he hadn't advised me to take one until after I failed my exam for the second time. I failed because they gave me a terrible car to drive. It was very difficult to control: when I pushed the accelerator, the car would sometimes surge, but when I pressed it gently, it wouldn't move at all. When I tried not to accelerate too much, I dropped well below the speed limit; when I pressed a little harder, the car would hit the curb. On top of that, it made a lot of suspension noise while driving. I don't understand how this car even passed the state inspection. I cannot drive cars in that condition, it was constantly breaking down. They only care about collecting payments quickly.

My daughter went there 4 years back with no problems, this time around my son took his classroom portion of the driving school on Feb. vacation only because the instructor did not provide the proof that we had taken the parent class for my daughter. We stuck it out, yesterday March 15th, we receive a message from the instructor with a driving schedule for the end of April. We had been reaching out to the instructor to include him in the schedule as soon as he finished the class in February. Now because of the "Pandemic" he's saying this is the best they can do. There was no "Pandemic" in February when he finished the class! Also, I requested a written certification as proof he finished the class, he refuses saying it can be found online. Other driving schools say they need this to request a transfer from the driving school. Now we are kind of stuck. Lesson learned, "You get what you pay for". Do not waste your money!! you'll pay for it later.

I'm not trying to criticize his technique as a whole, but I do want others to have a clear sense of what to expect. Booking a session was quick and easy, and I was able to get an appointment the very next day, which I really appreciated. I understand that driving instructors sometimes need to be curt and direct for safety reasons. However, I think the type of feedback also needs to match the situation and the student's experience level. For me, the lesson felt like an hour of being yelled at. I was constantly aware that I was doing something wrong, but not always what I had done wrong or how to fix it. My impression was that Lucien overestimated my prior driving experience. This could likely have been resolved by taking a few moments to pause, talk through what we were about to do, and ask whether I had done it before. When I asked questions, Lucien was willing to demonstrate, but many of his instructions weren't clear to me, and his tone made me feel as though I was being scolded, even if that wasn't his intention. If I made the same mistake multiple times, that suggested I didn't understand something, not that I wasn't trying. Instead, he seemed frustrated that I didn't get it immediately and would tell me I was doing it wrong without giving concrete, descriptive feedback about how to correct it. For example, when I was practicing turning, he would yell that I was doing it wrong and grab the wheel, which didn't help me understand what I needed to change. It would have been far more helpful to pull over, explain the steps clearly, and then practice on a quiet street where I could try again safely and independently. There were also times when I misunderstood his instructions (for instance, going into the leftmost lane instead of going to the leftmost lane that eventually turns right). His immediate response was to yell that I hadn't listened, rather than clarify what I had misunderstood. This approach felt infantilizing and made me upset and distracted, which wasn't conducive to learning. Pedagogically, it also didn't make much sense to me. I wasn't paying $70 an hour to ignore instructions; if I wasn't following them correctly, it meant something about the instructions wasn't clear. A more helpful response would have been to ask what part I had misunderstood and adjust the explanation so I could succeed next time. Overall, Lucien may be a good fit for students who thrive under very direct and high-pressure instruction, are very good at articulating the specific skills that they already have and are hoping to gain, and are better at interpreting his feedback. For others, his style may be stressful and difficult to learn from.

I would tell anyone looking for driving lessons that they should Go to Mhd auto school. Jacie was great. She always answered all of my questions and made making Driving appointments easy. My driving instructor Josh was the best. He taught me everything I needed to know to pass my road exam. He was very patient and made me feel totally comfortable behind the wheel. I contacted Laura from Olbash and she was great! She took my daughter on two lessons and then took her to the road test. She passed! Laura was great with my daughter. STAY AWAY FROM THE PERV SCHOOL. Thought this was a good driving school at first but when he booked me for a driving test that I told him I couldn't do, I got charged at the RMV extra money A MONTH AGO that he has YET to pay me back. He will not return my calls and he used to always return them but now that he owes me money, he won't. Do yourself a favor and go to a better driving school that costs a little more. It's worth it.
