I told her during the appointment that it wasn't what we discussed, but nothing changed. I woke up the next morning--two days before my wedding--still hating my hair. I called the manager right at 9 AM to ask if someone could fix it before the big day. The stylist had promised a dark color, but it came out completely wrong. I wasn't able to get in until the following Monday, after my wedding. The manager did a much better job, but it still wasn't what I originally asked for. I then spoke with the owner, and that's when things truly went downhill. She was incredibly rude and dismissive, telling me I was just "an unhappy customer who can never be satisfied." I had visible dye stains on my forehead and cheek, and my hair looked nothing like the photo I provided. I even had a bald spot, which I documented in photos. After seeing the pictures, the owner agreed to issue a refund. But when I asked when I could come in to receive it, she said she'd "make an appointment." I followed up for two days asking what time worked for her, and she replied that she's only in the salon one day a month and I needed to be patient. Her tone in the messages was just as rude as she was on the phone. Bottom line: the owner is the rudest I've ever dealt with, and the stylists need serious improvement. I was told my replacement would ship earlier this week, and while it did ship on 08/11/25, I was never sent tracking information and there was no follow-up from the company. I had to reach out multiple times just to get updates, which made an already long wait even more frustrating. While they did ultimately send a replacement as a "courtesy," the entire process took over two weeks from the time I reported the issue, and the lack of proactive communication left me feeling like my concerns weren't a priority. I hope Mathis Salon and Spa improves their customer service follow-up and communication, because customers shouldn't have to chase down updates for orders they've already paid for.

I was happy to discover that some 10 years later this location still exists. I called and Jess managed to get me in at 5 she listened to my needs and wants and began to cut away. Jess did an exceptional job on my hair! I left the salon loving the cut and knowledge of how to maintain the look on my own. First mistake. She did not know what she was doing, she was calling Jess on how to proceed on coloring my hair. She left an orange ring on my head.. My hair is dark brown/black and I wanted a brown violet/red. I lost 3 hours during my first visit because I was told to come back another day so Jess could do it herself. .. I don't understand why she wasn't there the first time Fast forward I come back on a Friday. To be there from noon all the way up until 8pm. Yes. 9+ hrs The process was never explained to me until after she messed up and I had to come back a third time. Jess left around 4 pm to get chick fil a and left me in a chair for over an hour. She finishes at 8 pm - charges me 400+ 2 days later.. my hair looks like a hot Cheeto. I texted Jess to let her know I need to come back and she stalls!!! She kept pushing the time. Saying she was only free after 9 am, then saying 8 am was good. She ends up getting there after 10 am. I also brought a close friend who she rudely shut down and told her she wouldn't be speaking to. When I brought her because I needed the support. She sits me down and dyes my hair. Has me sign a liability waiver and doesn't blow dry or straighten my hair bc I had to step away to take a work call and I come back and she's with another client- she never said sit down I'll have another lady do it- no, she completely ignores me This lady has known my family for years.. I once admired her work ethic and how she treated others!! @salon blu, you lost me as a customer and my family of 6 who would come to you for every single need. You should be ashamed of yourself. We made an appointment for 4pm and we were both taken back by our stylist within 5 minutes of that…read moretime. When I arrived, the salon was nice and clean and had a very pleasant smell. Nice music softly playing. The receptionist was friendly. She offered us a drink (water, Coke, tea). This review is for 2 stylist: Annette: Annette did my hair. She was so upbeat and friendly; she had great energy the entire time. I felt confidant after showing her a picture of what I wanted. Even though she saw I had a water, she offered me an adult beverage. Red or white wine, hot tea, or a beer. I chose the red wine. It was nice and relaxing the entire time. When she washed my hair, after coloring it, she placed a hot towel over my hair and slowly massaged and pressed on the back of the neck, releasing any tension. The hair washing chair was was very comfortable. I almost fell asleep. Blow dry with the round brush and offered me another glass of wine (which I declined). I'm very happy with my experience here and I will definitely be back. Gabriel: My daughter had her hair done by Gabriel (Gabe) red to blonde hombre. She actually requested him after watching him with another client a few months back. He was so upbeat and immediately made her feel like they'd been friends for years. She showed him the picture of what she wanted. He was ecstatic with her choice, even getting more excited when she showed him a super edgy haircut she'd been contemplating. You can tell he LOVES to do hair and sees it as a work or art. And knows his name is branded in the work he does. The hombre came out perfect. This is a technique that she's had done before and other stylist have failed. We were very pleased with the way the color faded from a dark red to blonde; no straight lines. No mistakes.
