She does a fabulous job every time. She is a great stylist and a really kind person as well. She's very laid back, relaxed and is not loud or boisterous. She is easy to talk to and to converse with. Her prices are very good too, better than the salons in Willis. I highly recommend her for women and men. She used to cut my son's hair as until he relocated to a different city. She always did a really good job on his hair as well. Switch Hair Studio is a very cute place. There are lots of older furnishings and decorative items in the shop, like kind of an art deco/Frank Lloyd Wright vibe. It is really interesting to look at all of the items and reminisce about seeing similar items in my childhood home. The shop is always neat and clean. An hour before the appointment I got a reminder for my appointment and it said it was with someone completely different and a different service. Rather than calling and asking if that was ok, they just changed it. I called and asked why and they said that she had "gone home for the day". I cancelled my appointment and won't be coming in there.

On 08/01/25, I contacted them to report…read morethat my package was lost in the mail and even provided a screenshot from FedEx confirming this. Despite that, I still had to wait for them to contact FedEx, and the claim wasn't filed until 08/04/25. I was told my replacement would ship earlier this week, and while it did ship on 08/11/25, I was never sent tracking information and there was no follow-up from the company. I had to reach out multiple times just to get updates, which made an already long wait even more frustrating. While they did ultimately send a replacement as a "courtesy," the entire process took over two weeks from the time I reported the issue, and the lack of proactive communication left me feeling like my concerns weren't a priority. I hope Mathis Salon and Spa improves their customer service follow-up and communication, because customers shouldn't have to chase down updates for orders they've already paid for.

This place did a HORRIBLE job on my hair! First I requested crochet faux locs (individually) and…read morethe lady continued to try to convince me to get the cornrows (not individual) Crochet faux locs. They sent me a picture of what hair to get and what store to go to (Got it). Once they started on my hair, they advised me that the hair "would not work"- so I went to the store , along with the "hair stylist" and purchased the hair that she picked out and advised that "it would work". Got back to the shop for the stylist to say that she needed another crochet needle because the current one "is not working". Fast Fwd the stylist came back to the shop (After I waited outside the shop for her to come back from the hair store) and finished my hair for me to look in the mirror to see that the faux locs are already slipping down to where the braids (underneath the faux locs) were showing. She "fixed" it. Needless to say the same day SEVERAL of my braids were showing. Not the mention each time I try to put my hair up the faux locs continue to slip out. $130 WASTED ! Never again.
